ABOUT THIS PREMIUM FORMAT™ FIGURE
“It’s not who I am underneath … but what I do … that defines me.”
Sideshow presents the Batman™ Premium Format™ Figure, a cinematic take on the Dark Knight stepping into your roster of DC Comics collectibles.
Inspired by actor Christian Bale’s turn as the iconic superhero in the film Batman Begins (2005), this statue captures the signature stylings of his own unique Batsuit and memorable on-screen presence. The Batman Premium Format Figure stands 25.75” tall on a 9” wide base inspired by the Narrows, the crumbling Gotham neighborhood riddled with crime. Looming above the decaying infrastructure of his city, Batman looks out with a stern gaze beneath his cowl in search of criminal lowlifes to stop in the pursuit of justice.
The polyresin Batman Premium Format Figure features a mixed media costume application consisting of a fully sculpted suit and cowl design paired with a tailored fabric cape. The cape has a textured exterior and sleek interior, and metal wiring in the hem allows for dramatic posing opportunities with this material element. This iteration of the Batsuit features matte black coloring and tactical, more armored aspects to the torso, arms, and legs. He has spined gauntlets, dark boots, and a gold utility belt to complete the costume and give him a distinct pop of color in the darkness.
Become the night and bring home the Batman Premium Format Figure for your DC collection today!

I always love these painting behind the scenes videos. I always learn something new for my own painting
same
yes these are amazing for learning from some pros, I love the sideshow style too
Okay now I can see why these figures are expensive. The amount of time and skill it takes to paint them is both a lot of it.
Do these guys actually paint all the statues or just the prototypes for marketing?
@@bmann78 damn good question?
@@bmann78 just the prototypes, the statues does look good, but not that extraordinary good like in this video
@@bmann78 Only the prototype. The production versions are painted and produced in China. The final versions never look as good as these hand painted and tailored prototypes.
@@bmann78 - It's marketing lol
Yes!! I love those, please keep'em coming! Bernardo is awesome!
More to come!
Wear a mask dude for your health
These are water based paints, he should be fine, I agree tho
For every statue do these videos, instead of those boring promo pics.Hypes it up so much
Could watch all the behind the scenes painting videos all day
LOL! "Gotta remember to breathe." I do the same thing when working digital art. No idea why I hold my breath when I am not using real paint or brush though. Lol. Love seeing the artists at work here. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
Son los mejores videos del canal. Sigan haciendo por que son muy interesantes y muestran el trabajo y conocimiento que lleva hacer una figura en vez e solo mostrar la figura ya terminada. tiene otro valor
He looks spectacular, Bernardo!!! Lovin' these BTS videos too!
I'm pretty sure they don't take this much time, care, and attention on the ones they sell you or me. But it's still a fun video to watch.
Correct. Just the prototypes. The regulars are painted overseas.
You are an amazing figure painter! Incredible work.
Jeez that's a lot of time for each figure. Can't imagine painting so many pieces.
That goes for the 2 prototypes. The mass produced thousands of pieces, although decent enough, never have this level of detail.
thank you sideshow, for sharing these amazing artistic contents.
You are so welcome!
yessss love this series was waiting for the next episode and finally its here thank you Sideshow on showing these awesome artist from painters to sculptors bringing these works of art come to life .....thank you.
More to come!
Omg looooove these
So now I see where your learning your painting skills 👍👍👍
me as well I just wish they would do more of them
I'd watch his channel
I will learn by watching your videos. Thank you so much👍
Man, if I saw this video a week ago, I surely would've pre-ordered this statue even if it costs a fortune. But sadly, all PO slots are filled up now. The amount of work and talent put on these things make each piece a true work of art. I'm glad Sideshow is not using silicone on the flesh parts (like the face), it sucks to buy something expensive only to deteriorate later on.
I LOVE seeing how these figures are made!! 😁
Amazing!! Can I ask please, what is the best sponges to use, thank you
Wait, so he just does that for how many ever copies of this figure they're selling?? Again and again?? Insane work.
We all know
Begins Suit > TDK suit
Love this video, I've learnt a lot , thanks
Glad it was helpful!
I would to know the materials and paints used for this
I wonder how many head to have to day for a day? over n over again?
I wish the pose on this statue was less feminine. Otherwise I like it.
Love those Vids ... was a Day1-PO for me. Finally the Begins-Suit
I want that one he painted lol
Seriously though it makes me feel sad that the finished product won't have the same level of attention and talent
Welcome to Sideshow collectibles! Beautiful prototypes that will be painted by a kindergarten class at recess for the final product. Hot Toys have far superior paint and sculpts that make it to the final product, IMO.
We need more of these! They’re the best; so fun and interesting
I imagine it’s hard backing out of the driveway wearing that cowl.
🤣
I don't know about the rest of you, but I wouldn't mind if these videos were twice, or four times as long. Seemingly "boring" steps that are cut are interesting to watch and get the artists thoughts on IMO.
Fantastic painting... If only you had less DC and more from other brands like Jurassic Park and Evangelion.
Brilliant hermano!
Fantastic as always. I'd love to know everyone's technique for lips. I always struggle on those.
Beautiful job! I'd like to see another videos with "Behind the Scenes".
Thank you, we're glad you enjoyed the video! We have many more video like this, feel free to check out our behind the scenes RUclips playlist! ruclips.net/p/PLZ3FTmzoDV6wcoyv81bIfcY7uy6OyRMr7
So satisfy to watch!
Eu gostei desse seu vídeo
I'll show this to my girlfriend next time she ask why I pay so much for these "TOYS"......
A products used list would be amazing. Phenomenal work as always.
I would be grateful if you could list the paint you are using in the summary column.
While I can't personally justify spending that much money on this.. I could easily see it being listed as twice that price.
These videos are my favorite ones on the channel! I love the artistry that goes into these figures.
I always thought Sideshow just had really good lighting and photography but the detail on the paint itself is actually adding to that too. Amazing!
Thank you!
No man I have 3 premium formats and they are Insane, was actually lookngat getting this one the other day
Your work is mesmerizing. The level of skill with color tone is incredible and dexterity to perfect your craft is nothing short of mind blowing. Seeing artist videos such as these leaves an uplifting impression on the human ability. Awe inspiring...
Love this ! Superman was my favorite 😻 Can u please do Rick grimes ?!!❤️
Holy smoly...
Like your videos . For a beginner, i would like to know which paint brand you guys use? Or should I use? thx
Masterpiece painting,Sideshow you have great artist painters in your company, thanks so much to share with us !!!
Thank you very much!
Absolutely beautiful work! You sir are a master toy maker! Santa Davey approves!
What is he using as his yellow wash?!??
This is very useful, thank you!
A question about where did you get that Batman head from starts where did you get the one you are painting from the 3D printer or did you make it or what please tell me I want to know I want to know please
very nice
Love these video's. Been almost a year since the last one - I believe. It's a shame that they don't make these more often. Either way, great video with great info!
What a talent. I'm scared to even paint my walls a different colour.
🤣
Perfection👌🏻
Tocayo, tu trabajo es increíblemente asombroso! Gracias por compartir tu conocimiento! Saludos desde México!
Wow is amazing, his videos are quite useful 🙌
I would love to see you guys paint 1/10 heads. Even 1/12.
awesome job as usual. could you please share info about the paints brand you use?
Dam! Who needs hot toys and neca when u can build it from the ground up
Amazing talent ,shows you how much work is involved in this
What is the name of the substance used to make the eyes more vivid and bright?
Keep making these videos guys they’re so interesting and I love the work that goes into them. Who doesn’t love a good behind the scenes video
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
Amazing, Bernardo! Thank you.
Muito bom BATMAN 👍♥️🇧🇷
Wow that's a lot of work
i love these, keep them coming pls!
Glad to see the behind the scenes videos back. Really appreciate the amount of work that goes into producing these pieces.
Thank you so much!
Great paint work, personally the pose ruins it for me, pick a pose from the movie and go with that instead because this pose doesn't feel intimidating at all and does nothing for the head sculpt.
I am making sculptures, figures, diaromas. I ask the sideshow. Is there a photography platform where we can share the artworks and creative sculptures and diaromas made by the fans? It would be nice if you made it like a corner of the works from the fans. It would even be nice if you could get participants from every country and choose first and give gifts at the end of each month, and give a job opportunity at the sideshow, which received the most votes and likes at the end of the year.
5:05 "Gotta remember to brethe..." Best advice - After long painting session I always feel lack the oxygene :)
It sure is pretty amazing of all the hard work that sideshow put's into their collectibles
😮😮😮❤❤❤👏👏👏
See, The Dark Knight/Rises batsuit is cool and attractive and all but I think it lacks the intimidating and obscure tone that the Batman Begins batsuit had. Not to mention Bale was thicker during the first film compared to the other two.
13:17 I don't remember seeing him looking like that in the movie😅
Amazing, perfect... I love this and I need this! ♥ ♥ ♥
received mine i love it
Awesome, we're glad to hear it made for a great addition to your collection! Thanks for watching 😄
do you have a video of your paint sprayer, paint and other setup?
These are statues and I love them are the Hot Toys are also made this way?
I wanna know who are the 25 knuckleheads that disliked this video. Great job man, a masterpiece.
Hi. Love the video. I was wondering how would you do a shiny black leather? Would you just put a gloss varnish over the top and call it good?
I wish I had his job that would be so sick
That's incredible
How and what are you using to hold those pieces without touching them? I can see some kind of wire below the head-sculpt
it's done.....now, do a few 1,000 more :)
Amazing talent!
So, how may color shades did you use to paint your "Bale" Batman head?
Yes.
Gracias Bernardo! Love love love this work of art!
Pre-ordered this, but one downside for me is the pose. However, the likeness of Bale is incredibly good.
4:52 white eyes on him looks better than in the actual movie. Don't know why they don't let him have white eyes. All you need to do is have white contacts
What colours would you use to make a wood (plank) colour ~ Adaka, Kamidake, from Tenchi muyo.
I really appreciate this series. Absolutely fascinating and inspiring.
Although I am curious as to how the same attention to detail is replicated once the pieces go into production.
Batman: "Then why do you want to paint me?"
Jokes aside, this is incredible work!!!!!!!
Maestro! Realmente maestro.
Saludos desde Chile.
Thanks for the videos.. As a amateur painter I have to said that in just a few minutes video from Sideshow you can learn more than any other video on internet...
So glad you enjoy them!
These videos are so great. Ive tried to apply some of the techniques to my digital painting and its really helpful.
Holy Batman bro... amazing work
Is that a badger airbrush, just curious what needle size is on it. I use Iwata Revolution myself the fine spatter you're getting is very nice effect. Thanks for sharing your talents amazing work.
Looks like a Master brand to me.
It's an Iwata CM-C
I'd love to see a series like this, but talking about equipment and paints that are used. Great video, cheers!
thanks for sharing these videos, you don't have an idea what helps to improve when painting !! thanks again!!!
Este man sí es un berraco.
What Brand of paint and Brushes you use
Awesome technique. i always pick up a ton of painting tips. Love your skills. Keep up the awesome work
