Haha I didn’t want to do that!! Luckily I got it first time. Just used a really really small amount of paint almost just a dirty brush and brushed it loads before paint even came off onto the model
Turned out great! Although not my personal favourite incarnation of Harley, can't deny VX Labs turned out another banger here! For securing things like those pigtales I'd pin them myself. Most of my big prints involve either lengths of paperclips, cocktail sticks and bamboo skewers for removable parts rather than magnets. But you do need to decide that prior to printing, in order to subtract the pinning-holes from the model first.
Great video, always a pleasure to watch. Could you cover some of the printing stage in a future video? Any advice on preparing the files for printing, the printing itself and the prep before painting would be awesome. Thanks for posting these videos, the content is fantastic.
Absolutely I do plan on making a video like this probably a couple to be fair. For now there are a couple supporting videos to watch if you wanted to see my process over there just check out the printing playlist.
Great work as always. Thank you for pointing out how you delt with the tattoos and writing on the bat. Also I hate sculpted eyes too. I always appreciate designers that include two head options, sculpted and smooth eyes.
Dude, this is incredible. Thanks for the great tips, links, all of it! New to the channel, and now a faithful friend, and subscriber. Much love for all you do dad!
ive just started in this and watched many videos, i dont comment much on youtube, but you sir are TALENTED and deserve the praise. I hope sponsors read this and support you, i subscribed for sure and after seeing your vids appreciate your tips and talent! kuddos!
@@Groundeffected I lost my beloved wife of 48 years and watching your videos have also helped me through a very emotional upheaval and gave me a chance to distract from the outside world and rediscover a love for art. Thanks again and when I am more settled I would love to be a paying member
@@robertlock7181 ah man that’s exactly what it’s all about dude. I’m glad to be the shoulder to lean on when you needed a distraction. Keep painting the pain away my dude!!! You got this. And thanks for supporting my dude.
OMG! What a great job on the paint. You make it look so easy and those fishnets would be hard for me to do. And the tattoos are good too. Now I know why you didn't want to do this model for a while. LOL. Keep up the great work!
Thanks man hopefully one day I can afford my own resin 3D printer really interested in the hobby. Just recently got a filament printer this actually makes me regret getting it instead of a resin printer.
Beautiful sculpt and paint . I like watching other people sculpt and paint . It reminds me im not by myself when im going through it . One thing i would never film myself sculpting and painting its too distracting hats off to all who dont mind filming thanks. Happy creating............
It’s tough. Damn camera dictates where you can hold the model and slows everything down cos your arms are so far away from your body but you get used to it eventually
Stunning work as always dude :) I can honestly say that I haven't seen a single video of yours that I didn't like. Amazing and keep up the great work :)
Really useful video, many thanks for this.I will try to use the same process on my Ray Skywalker and then I will test Harley Quinn . Models from VX Labs are amazing
Sick work. I’ve been printing off a ton of models myself and I’m gathering tons of info and techniques watching different creators. Seen a few of your vids and your work is top notch. My Harley didn’t come out as nice but it’s a little different model. Love the vids though.
Hello, ! Your work is incredible. I am a beginner and I am learning a lot from your videos. At 6:14 in your video, you use something like an adhesive to mask off the piece and avoid airbrush overspray. I am Brazilian, and I haven't seen the artists I follow use this, but it seems very helpful. What is the name of this adhesive?
Fantastic video . And Master Chief from Halo. It can been seen as such a flat color and would take some creativity to make it eye catching . Love to see that . Love your stuff and as a new comer to 3D printing it’s very inspiring
Yeah I have this model and I likely will wait until I get a bit more skilled before I attempt it. Great video and you always make this look so easy. Can you share a link to where you got your magnets and what size they are? And your micro pen? Will you be posting a picture of your color palette?
Hey dude sorry for the late reply. I just get the magnets from Amazon 10mm x 3/4 mm is usually good. The thicker the stronger they hold. And micro pen is just a uni pen I think 0.5mm
watching a backlog of vids now. this guy is the best painter doing youtube vids. thank you man!
always a pleasure to watch a pro paint
Those freehand tattoos and how you did the stockings are amazing Brent. Another fine video sir
Thanks a lot my dude
His name is "Yhordhad"
I use your eye technique on all my figures. Thank you so much for that. Brilliant!
It’s simple but super effective
You have an incredible talent, and it's always a joy to see all the models you paint. Would love to own one of you pieces
DUDE! now that is a super awesome paint job! You make it look so easy, but I re-did those fishnets like 12 times lol. Thanks for this video man!
Haha I didn’t want to do that!! Luckily I got it first time. Just used a really really small amount of paint almost just a dirty brush and brushed it loads before paint even came off onto the model

Yea I would’ve pinned them but I didn’t think about it till later hopefully the dude didn’t have a problem gluing them in
Brilliant work, love how it turned out.
Thank you so much.

I love this ViD and Harley. Way to get it Groundeffected!
Another nice work bro! I admire the time you put in to the details such as the eyes and the baseball bat.
Thanks dude. Sometimes I resent that patience of mine hahaha it can land me days worth of doing one minor detail.
Fantastic video bud its great to see a fellow figure painter
Great work as always. Thank you for pointing out how you delt with the tattoos and writing on the bat. Also I hate sculpted eyes too. I always appreciate designers that include two head options, sculpted and smooth eyes.
Yea defo. Eyes are easier when they’re smooth. I prefer placing them myself

Great video and amazing paint job!! I’ve got a few prints from VX labs and after seeing this video I’m going to get Harley!!
She’s a tough one to paint but she does look cool.

Haha thanks dude.
Amazing work man! Climbing to the top!
Thank you bro. We still got a long way to go but thanks for being on the train while we chug to the top haha
Stumbled onto your content by chance, holly Crap, you’re amazing! Keep up the good work
Great model, great paint job
100% agree with you regrading sculpted eyes, you can get much more character out of a portrait if you get to place the eyes where you want.
Yea I don’t like them to be sculpted. But it’s ok I made it work in the end.
Enjoy watching you creating magic!
Thank you my dude.
Outstanding Tutorial ✌🏼
Very nice video and paintwork 👌 Keep it comming, cheers
Absolutely Stunning work Congratulations As a newbie can this type of model be purchased , if I dont have a printer?
That was impressive!
Always impressed with your content!
Thank you
Fantastic job
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Absolute pleasure
Good pointer on the fishnets, I have tried that in the past but either used too much paint or not a soft enough dry brush
Defo too much paint. It took a good few passes before any paint even showed up on the model.
Sick work. I’ve been printing off a ton of models myself and I’m gathering tons of info and techniques watching different creators. Seen a few of your vids and your work is top notch. My Harley didn’t come out as nice but it’s a little different model. Love the vids though.

When will you do the 2 Ray Skywalker from VX Labs ? Thanks Eric
Not sure if I am unless someone asks me to make it for them it’s not on the list of stuff to paint for now
Awesome job on this.

Have you ever done like an opposite zenethal on a modal? Like where the light is coming from the bottom of the model? Thanks boet
Amazing work as ever. Wow.
Thanks so much.
I love your videos. Just perfect in every way. I have one question. what color did you use for harley's hair?
Nice content man. Really enjoy your commentary
That looks really nice! GREAT job. 👍 Thanks for the handy tips too.
Increible trabajo mi hermano.
Damn Bits! Another smashing piece Brent! I have to start getting into putting magnets in since I currently just glue everything.
Thank you dude. Yea magnets are great especially for the printing process too. Just takes a little brain power figuring them out sometimes.
So talented!
Which kind of brushes do you use ? Which sizes ? And how long time spend making this Harley Quinn figure ??
You are awesome
Great job.
Thank you dude
