As everyone has said as well...the phone decal went above and beyond! Thank you for always explaining everything you do. You are truly a leader in the community of us 3D model artists.
Awesome! I have this model in my 3d stl folder too. I wasn't sure how I was going to do the phone screen, but I think you've sold me on buying some decal paper.
Great work on the build as always, going to have to print her out! And, awesome idea on the phone decal I would have been an oaf and just left it blank. Going to have to steal that idea :)
the way you think about the details and how to add them in is just crazy to me. I need to step up my way of thinking when it comes to making my models more detailed.
Another amzing job. I'd love to see a whole video where you go through the decal process is more detail. How do you reduce the size without losing the details?
i was feeling this was mid(for you is a 8) till the camera detail and i want one now lol mine would be a ginger with the ben riley costume. love your stuff love learning something new with each video.
I am not sure about this but pastel green mixed with pastel violet makes pastel grey. 😅 I mean I mix radiant violet with radiant green and I get a radiant grey. You did a great job on the paintwork.
Hey dad you rocked once again. I have two questions. What brush did you use to paint her eyes ? and if you sugest to varnish the figure once its finished. I saw you did not. is there a reason for this? Thank you and keep up the great work
amazing work, learned some with this video tooo, the custom decals was not soemthing i knew you could do easily! So thanks for that infor :) and youre welcome for the single piece of the legs+lower torso STL on this one 🙂at first they cut the legs off at the top of the thighs, but I kindly requested if we could get it with those as a single piece instead of cut into 3 😁😁 thanks to you I know about CA3D studios too and signed up for them :)
To be fair I just joined those parts myself. I made a video to show my patreons how to join parts. And yes dude decals can be made super easy. They can be volatile at times tho and break easy but make details a bit easier at times
@@Groundeffected ohhh fair! I just assumed since they were together, I tried at first to just join yhem, but I really didn't want to end up sanding away the hexagon pattern on the suit, so asked for the single part 🙂 And yea Gona have to give the decal stuff ago for some projects 🙏🙏
if you could record one of your supporting sessions it'd be much appreciated. i'm curious as to how you support your parts. i've been struggling with warping and parts not fitting right
Thanks. I was offered to test it but I don’t really like testing resins because everyone wants me to test theirs and it becomes a mess of settings and excess work that I don’t really have time for at the moment. Perhaps in the future if it’s possible I will but for now I usually turn down resin testing.
@@Groundeffected I understand, just thought it might be a good idea to try as it is very flexible and just got released so there is a lot of intrigue around it. I also understand your point, I’m also a busy guy. Anyways, thanks for your response, will keep watching your videos, cheers!
I see that you sometimes use 'normal game color' paints from Vallejo. What is the dilution ration you use? And what do you use to dilute? I can't get my game color thinned right to airbrush consistently?
I usually dilute them 50:50 ... either with distilled water or with my own thinner. Sometimes even more - for example for skin colors usualy about 70:30. But Vallejo thinner + flow improver is also great, it just seems unnecessarily expensive to me, so I mix my own thinner for about 5-10% of the price :)
I honestly can’t say an exact solution cos I just use a brush in my water cup to transfer plain tap water as the thinner. I don’t find it necessary for my work to need any kind of thinner I just use plain water
Hi your dad! I've bought two models from ca3d (queen marika, and the newest 2b sitting on a thing..). And have been unsuccessful in printing both of them. After cure they are so warped that I can't get the key holes anywhere close to lining up. Is this an issue you've run into with them? I know you've done gap filling vids in the past but i cant find any that address this issue specifically. Could you do a video better detailing how you go from the model file to the assembled model?
This is going to be down to the supports and your printer settings. I usually support my own models and I have my printers pretty much dialled in. I will do an updated video on the printing process
The brand doesn't matter - anything that prints well on paper will print just as well on decals... Just be careful with decal paper - it's different for laser printers and different for inkjet. And when printing, I recommend setting the paper type to rough or something similar.
I don’t think the brand matters. The better the printer the better the image will be but any inkjet will work for inkjet decal paper and laser jet for laser jet paper.
No tiene sentido el espejo, ya que depende del angulo que lo mires te dará distintas perspectivas de la figura, y lo que se busca emular acá es una cámara, la cual no varia su imagen si la miras de distintos ángulos. Saludos
That picture u did for the phone was crazy simple but crazy detail
The extra steps with the decals and the selfie shot on the phone was simply GENIUS!!!
Dude Brent the photo selfy was such a good add on looks awesome man

pffffiouuuuu, you are so inspiring ... awesome paint
came out great!
Another fantastic piece and attention to details. I still need to figure out flesh tones. Also may need a better airbrush too.
I subbed to ca 3d studios and now I'm struggling with Mary Jane's face lol
Nice film effect at 11:44, haha; wonder how many viewers noticed it, though ...
i freakin love your videos! so insane paint jobs!
Great job dad! Thanks for sharing. DTFE! :)

Amazing job my man!
Well I'll be watching now and futures coming I hope one day I can do the same one day.
"From the heart of my bottom". I'm stealing that Dad...
Looks awesome as usual. You should put out a video on making decals start to finish.
I have in my patreon
Such an incredibly cute model, and so well painted!
Going the extra with those decals was insane, fantastic work, you wouldn’t by chance have those decal images available for purchase maybe?
I’m gonna be posting them to my patreon in a day or two
Just amazing

really amazing painting job!
Amazing work, I am tempted to buy a printer for the decals
Cheap inkjet is good enough for most things.
Looks fantastic!
men i love you i am slicing the file

Top notch
ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS TOP NOTCH!!!!!
прекрасная работа!
That is gorgeous. Thanks for the video.

@@Groundeffected My pleasure.
Well DAD I do love CA 3D studio they make perfect models but anyway what brush are you using? Love all your videos your paintings skills is always 💯 🔥
Awesome video 👍🔥👍🔥👍🔥
Great video!
Thanks dude
Sensacional ! Parabéns maia uma vez
The best 🎉🎉
This is so inspiring! I have a FDM printer instead of a resin one atm but do you have suggestions for a resin printer?

Ok dammit. I’m gonna buy a resin printer, some paint and will give this a try
Very impressive chap, you never fail to enlighten us. Btw please don't stop the waffle sessions for they are the seasoning in your videos. 👍👍👍

You should really paint more.
Hola, como haces para que tus soportes no dejen marcas y como logras un tiempo de exposición tan increíble 😢
I saw my name!
Love your videos, would you mind making a review video of the RPG resin from Phrozen?

can you give me a good answer about why artist spray on alcohol on print figure when it paints ?

How do you paint without brushstrokes like that 🥺
How do you scale your prints ?
how do you cure the inside? 🤔
