It used to be for me too. I did a Vincent model recently for my girlfriend and used a wetpalette for my mixing, to figure out the ratios I wanted of what colors and it was unbelievable. It looked SO nice. I use mostly Vallejo, think I used some "skintone", leather brown, and some blood red, just a touch.
I do really need those support settings… oh boy, those crispy details with bare minimum support damage and those big parts with any layer lines or anything!
Just started painting this model and found it funny how we both painted on her scalp to help blend the gap between the two pieces of hair since there is a slight gap 😅
This is funny because in my quest to find a replacement for O Dermis I came across nomad flesh but I too thought it was missing something. Now I see what it was!
Awesome video as always 👍🏻 best channel for 3D prints 🤟🏻 could you give your honest opinion on the Creality High precision resin that you were using in this video? Some people been saying its very sticky even after the wash/cure. So i wanna know what you think of it?? Im looking for some new resin. The phrozen 8k resin is getting pretty expensive for all my prints. So need a new brand (open for suggestions) 😬🙏🏻
Out of curiosity, what alligator clips do you use to hang and hold your 3d prints? They look really sturdy and I could definitely use some 😂 @groundeffected
Using paint matcher - vallejo old rose and army painter agate skin are close but the closest by far is reaper - Redfork jasper just using basic cmyk comparison dunno if that's helpful but just FYI the only one that's really spot on in terms of closeness is the reaper one the other 2 are a bit off in shade
Freaking love your models, love how realistic they turn out. I’m just getting into this kind of stuff. Please please tell where you got that large Eve model???
Awesome print and paint job. Quick question... do you remove supports straight after washing and then cure, or cure first? I've seen recommendations to remove supports prior to curing, which does make them easier to remove, but also leaves surface damage from minor scratches
bruh I heard you once saying that you had trouble finding some vallejo, im from spain and here i have some physicall shops that always have the full collections, if need anything i could send it for you
Brent what do you do if you cock up and get a bit of the wrong colour in a place where that colour should not go? How often do you seal your work, because I take it that helps. I'm doing a Supergirl S and the red and the blue of the costume is driving me nuts.
I bought a printer for cheap with a rather large pixel size of 48 microns, do you think I'd be able to print scale figures with it or will the layer lines be too noticeable? It's not the topic of the vid but I thought maybe you have some experience on that.
Do you know how small 48 microns is my dude? Hear me out. You not getting any more detail printing at lower than 0.05mm layers. This means you’ll get fairly fast prints. But anti ailiasing and orientation will be your best friend here. You didn’t make a mistake you can still get good prints with that
I would love to know where you got the stl file for Eve from Stellar Blade at the start of this vid 😮 please let me know, you would be a legend if you did!
Another great video. I like how you just tell people what you think. It's a printer. It works. If you like it buy one. Others just always want to tell you how bad it is or that they have not inovated enough. Does it do what it's supposed to? Then great!! Sorry if I ranted. F'n off now!!
❤ can't wait to see that huge doll at the back painted ....looks amazing... great printer.
You really do make it look easy, Ada turn out amazing. Can't wait to see you paint the 1/4 scale Eve displayed at the end.
I just bought this printer to get into the hobby, I'm so glad to hear I didn't screw up!
Hands down best 3D printing channel
Do you have a video detailing support size and depth in the model? Also, what resolution were these models printed at? Great job as always!
Not the slightest flaw in IT....iam in awe how do you achieve this exact Clean painting...simply masterfull and extremly pretty👍❣️
It's amazing how easy it is to remove the support. What a good attitude.
After seening your video, I'm buying a 3D printer and starting a new hobby. You painting skills are epic!
Skin tones are the bane of my life. But thanks again for breaking it down and finding replacements for stuff that’s not available 😂
Me too! I'm working on a model right now and have stripped the paint off 3x so far because I keep messing up the skin tone 😭

Are you on the newest lychee pro the supports come off like butter
Lines are never present in resin models
So impressed with your painting, something I'm still trying to master, but struggling.
Just started painting this model and found it funny how we both painted on her scalp to help blend the gap between the two pieces of hair since there is a slight gap 😅
Yea that gap was annoying haha, Great minds tho.
I have officially joined the club, ordered my Halot Mage Pro today
I'm starting to think that orcish dermis was never the secret for these amazing skin tones... 😮Amazing work as always!!
Those are some very nice prints from that machine. Great work on the paint job always love watching and seeing the end result.
Amazing details✨️🙌! I am struggling with skin tones, yet watching your videos always helps me to get better at it. Much thanks!
Glad it helps.
Not sure but I just ordered Athena Skin from vallejo. Haven't tried it but did see it looked very similar.
This is funny because in my quest to find a replacement for O Dermis I came across nomad flesh but I too thought it was missing something. Now I see what it was!
Just a bit of punch in the red.

Thanks for this dad !
Unfortunately, Army Painter is also hard to get from where I live, so I'll have to rely only on Vallejo/Citadel paints for now.
I’m working on a Vallejo equivalent. When I find it I’ll make it known
Thanks so much. I will be trying this alchemy out.
those prints turn out great.
Just curious were the files pre-supported or do you have a updated way to set your supports and hollowing?
Out of curiosity, what alligator clips do you use to hang and hold your 3d prints? They look really sturdy and I could definitely use some 😂 @groundeffected
I just found em on Amazon. Might be a link in my description if I added them I’m not sure 🤔
Thanks for another great vid and the TED talk! Models look fantastic!

What did you use to print Eve from stellar blade?
I am very interested in watching you paint her as well.
What types of brushes do you use? Does the brush(and technique) help to paint tight areas without having the paint overlap like on those straps?
Freaking love your models, love how realistic they turn out. I’m just getting into this kind of stuff. Please please tell where you got that large Eve model???
Pretty sure it’s from abe 3d
Mate your skin tone game is on point!! Nice work!
Man I love how your skin tones come out.
Thank you for all your great videos ! You are the best !
Thank you for watching them.

I remove the supports before the wash even
@@Groundeffected sounds good. Saves on IPA too 😎
Thanks Dad! DTF, cheers!🍻
Who makes the Eve model at the end? It looks amazing and can’t wait to see you paint it
Abe 3d
@@Groundeffected thank you so so much.
Great models and paint jobs.
Never let me down, like a true dad.
I have a question, why do you always use black primer first?
I never used Orcish Dermis but it seems like Orcish Dermis looks kinda like Dusty Rose from Green Stuff World which I do have.
Those awesome lychee supports , nice work
Awesome as always
Thank you.
another awesome video dude
What layer height you use for these figures?
best ted talk ever!!!! 🤣
bruh I heard you once saying that you had trouble finding some vallejo, im from spain and here i have some physicall shops that always have the full collections, if need anything i could send it for you
It was the nocturna stuff. That cos it all got sold out. thanks dude, I’ll keep it in mind.
Words in a box

Lock it off before it dries. Or just touch up after.
Great prints!

So what we gonna do when this alternative is sold out after this video ?
nice - veri good
Nice vid !

From abe 3d
@@Groundeffected cheers my guy!
Hey dad... This was very usefull!! Mom says hi.
Awesome!
hi there ..... would you say this 3d printer is better than the uniformation gk two ???
No I wouldnt. But they’re completely different target markets though.
Another great video. I like how you just tell people what you think. It's a printer. It works. If you like it buy one. Others just always want to tell you how bad it is or that they have not inovated enough. Does it do what it's supposed to? Then great!! Sorry if I ranted. F'n off now!!
sos un genio !!!
Where do I get the file for the tall print next to the printer?
That was from abe 3d I think.
What happens when your building up skin tone highlights and you do to much and cover to much of the pinks/purples. How can you go back? Or can you?
You can add more back with magenta if needed
Adas Datass is phatt. But dem hips...too big pour mois. April'N'Rogue still reign
👍
“Welcome to my Ted talk” - 🤣
what type of resin did you use please?
I used the high detail one but as I said in the video I don’t attribute the print quality that much to the resin.
@@Groundeffected no was more interested in color
@@peterpeter5666same colour as in the video, grey
@@Groundeffected lol ya but didnt look like the common grey resin was just curious what brand
@@peterpeter5666it’s the creality high definition one haha 😂
When ever i pull off my supports like that it always leaves pitting and marks 😢 tell us your secrets dad!
My support settings are in my insta stories. But you have to tune your resin to use them properly.
Ava Wang 🤣

Ada 😫🥵😍
Look at all those K's! All 14 of them. o0.
So many k’s haha
hello dad
aaaand now you can't find nomad flesh lol
But i finally got orcish dermis 😂
>:) just bought 6 orcish dermis from a shop
Probably part of the reason it keeps running out 😂
@@hicontrast😂 well the shipping cost is a lot so it’s only worth if I added a few more
@@cookie_doki My precioussss....lol! 😂
imagine printing something that is 1 pixel in area and 3 cm tall xD
Good going make something good out of something bad ???🎉
