One Dapper Street isn't wearing two jackets. Its a single piece from Scotch and Soda. Richie Le's top isn't a brown sweatshirt over a grey hoodie. Its a two-tone hoodie from his collection. Also this has been said countless times by countless people but certain clothes are made for all people who want them, not just for people within an age bracket. If you like or want something and it comes in your size, then get it. Same goes with colours. DO NOT restrict yourselves from colour options just because it happens to be winter, summer, etc.
That last one paragraph is just wishful thinking or just pointing out the obvious, is like telling someone "If you wish to reach something, you just wish it hard enough and you can be whatever you want" and expect the to take it literal. Some clothes doesn't look good on everyone without taking on considerations age, lifestyle, complexion, skin tone, etc. Is something similar to decorating a space. You don't just buy something because you like it, put that as decoration, and expect that magically it would look good on a room that had a consistent style of decoration before.
@@MiMenteOnLineif apparently thousands of people still actually believe in this channel's advice, then obviously stating the obvious hasn't been enough. Neither is it "wishful thinking" for one to dress as they see fit. The statement you're referring to also does not mean people should choose clothes blindly. It means that your preference should weigh more than what the societal standards hold you to (in terms of clothing ofc) .
If Everyone wore Dark wash jeans or olive Chinos Fashion would be so Boring and I love those 2 items but I appreciate people showing their individuality in Fashion even if it’s not something I personally like. There would be no runway fashion show if we all followed these rules. I think these rules only apply to people who want to look like everyone else but hey at least they will look good doing it!
Honestly, I don't know how the general style is around you/in your city but in my city, people in general don't dress well. So, Ashley's advice absolutely would result in the common guy looking good which is probably the goal for most guys that don't want to be obsessing about their style all the time. However, I agree with you that if everyone followed these guidelines then it would be boring. That's why these fashion influencers veer away from trad menswear, to stand out online.
Agree. But I think everyone should know the rules first before they can break them and do it in a good way. I also think not everyone should wear whatever they want… some rules do exist for a reason and not everyone can pull everything off.. dress with what suits you but explore and have fun within that. Mistakes are how you find this out
Except most people these days either go for fashion forward looks or simply aren't well-dressed due to the lack of foundational style knowledge to the point that going the classic route makes you stand out and subtly gives the impression of you being well put together since everyone around you is a stark contrast. You could even see this on everyday people's shoe choices alone where everyone wears outlandish looking kicks now and you very rarely see men wear the quality lace up, boots, etc.
This only proves that being a stylist doesn’t mean you know everything about style lol, fashion is what you make it. I’ve seen some crazy things but I can’t judge because people like what they like and fashion has no boundaries, even if a one dimensional “stylist” thinks so.
Conclussion: don't take any risks. Wear dark slim jeans and khaki chinos. Don't fuse elements from different aesthetics. Just take this formula and it will always work. I mean, I can respect that perspective for people who really don't care about their style. But trying to find some general "one fits all" type of phylosophy in fashion seems pointless for me. I think it's about identity and finding out what you like and what you don't. And the only way of doing that is trying out new things, TAKING RISKS and HAVING FUN. You're probably not going to get it right the first time, but at least, it's gonna be yours. Expressing yourself through clothing is something beautiful and trying to fit in a box to "look good to everyone" just sound like wasted potential.
You are advising men to look like they all stepped out of the mall. These guys have personal style, are fashion forward and way out of your league fashion wise. What do you know about men's style in London, New York where they reside ? Why are you trying to make them all conform to your basic style? Those brown boots you recommended twice are so generic and have been around for 20'yrs that's why they would never wear them because they are basic. Your are not in the game. Guys need to get style advise from them , not you.
Rating mens style influencers is great but I find it more helpful when you rate the outfits of regular guys who are trying to put all this advice we get from all these channels into practice. We appreciate the chance to get honest and knowledgeable advice on our outfits. Often the opinions we get are biased, either by someone who doesn't want to hurt our feelings, someone who throws friendly jabs at us or someone with no style sense at all. No matter which one, it isn't helpful feedback.
I agree about getting reviews of us peons! However, what I like about her critiques of influencers is that there's a kind of unconscious expectation encoded in an influencer's presentation that can often be misleading. _"Ooh, nice photography, expensive clothes... this must be a good look, right?"_ When Ash breaks them down with the same rules she preaches to us, I think it really solidifies her concepts.
I really do appreciate your rating on men's combo, but personal style counts,we can't be creative in our own style if we just want to follow what everyone else is wearing or thinks cuz being stylish is inner creativity and not opinions 👍🏼
I think Marcel's style is extraordinary (one dapper street). He has always involved his style. I know you like classy style and safe play But I prefer Marcel's experimental manner more (white jeans , patchy Jeans amd stuff like that....❤️ ) Cauz at the end - we wear which we love
@@skyhook9337 Agreed ❤️ But Marcel is an influencer . So he always experiments with different styles, fits & colors to influence various and larger people. And those people's style may vary from each other in terms of dapper to street and to many more. So it depends on the person and his surroundings, workings and dress accordingly . isn't it? (Ex: white and patchy jeans & many trendy pieces can be worn according to your age your surroundings,,and that's my point regardless of the season)
In the first picture that was shown, Marcel wanted to wear whites in winter, that was a kind of theme for this winter for him. And if I'm not wrong, it's not two jackets. The middle layer is just a faux jacket stitched to the outer one.
The thing with Marcel, is that white jeans are to him what blue jeans are to everyone else. He loves them and he's what got me to finally buy a pair. Also for that jacket, it's actually one piece. Not a separate bomber and jacket. I'm also 95% sure that hoodie for Richie is one piece khaki base with a grey hood
I love videos like this . Personally, Daniel’s style is my preferred; cosy and casual. It kinda challenges what we think is stylish and helps to think outside the box with clothing. Sometimes I don’t always vibe with the looks but most of the time they go hard. Anyway, love the vids would be cool to see one with Ali Gordon
I'm all for these stylists having their own styles but I respect fashion youtubers who always bring in new styles and are more fashion forward like Tim Dessaint and Daniel Simmons.
I like this series and your perspective on these fashion channels. I'd love to see you do commentaries on Hugo from Sartorial Talks, Rafael from Gentleman's Gazette, and He Spoke Style.
Just a few call outs. 1. That hoodie that Richie Le is wearing is a green hoodie with a gray hood. He’s not layering. 2. I think instead of “rating” these individuals simply based off menswear style is wrong. Each one has their own personal style and you should rate them as such. For example, Richie Le is 95% streetwear. He’s not going to put on some loafers, style his outfits like he’s coming out of J Crew. I think you should take their intended styles into consideration and rate them off that. Explain how you would make that streetwear outfit better, with OTHER streetwear pieces, etc.
Yet he wore the standard J.Crew uniform of blue polo, olive pants and loafers, but made himself look shorter than I'm sure he intended with the longer pants, odd crease and unfortunately bulky loafers.
@@MensFashioner Sort of. Those are Fear of God loafers which are much more streetwear oriented than anything else. I just think each individual should be “rated” for what they were going for, instead of just being judged on a classic menswear look that ultimately might not be their end idea with their outfit.
@@ovojrod she can’t rate it for what they’re going for if she don’t understand their style or what they’re going for. Her stuff is very cookie cutter. While what she suggests looks “good” it’s a very basic style. Not “in style” lol.
@Jesus - Brands don't mean it looks good or works well for you. That's an amateur move. I know exactly what he was going for, and the choice to sport a label instead of something that actually works for him is where he messed up.
Hey Ashley, Heres my challenge. How would you dress a rapper like Post Malone, Lil Pump, Migos and such? And what can you say about Jerry Lorenzo’s way of fashion?
Love this kind of critique. One thing to keep in mind is that these are individual’s instagram style that may look interesting for photos but may look awkward or doesn’t make sense IRL. What I really find crazy and would love to see you critically critique are how clothing brand models are styled in brochures and on their web sites. These IMO are where you find the most awkward looking style choices. Example: Allen Edmonds has all models wearing dress shoes w/ suits and jeans but no socks. JCrew and Banana Republic (the worst offender) has models wearing 3-4 layers while advertising the middle layer and most pants are rolled up way to high. These are supposedly brands for everyday casual styles, but no one IRL dresses this way.
About the guy wearing the hoodie zipped in an uncommon way, that's something that's kinda becoming a trend especially for tech/streetwear bc it let's you layer in a different modern way. Also, it's something that, specifically when sitting down, let's you keep the jacket zipped without having a tummy. I think it's somewhat ingenious
@@a-abelase9887 2 way zippers are very old but more expensive. All zipped hoodies, sweaters, and jackets and parkas should have 2 way zippers imo. From a practical sense it allows you to regulate heat w/o taking anything off w/o looking unkempt. Allows you to access pants pockets w/o either completely unzipping or hiking up the hem as you would w/ a single way zipper. Just how you don’t button the bottom button of a cardigan to give the garment the ability to flare w/ your hips instead of looking frumpy and gathering at the belly. 2 way zippers work in the same way. I don’t care how nice the garment is, if the zipper isn’t 2 way, or at least have a button option, it’s a hard pass.
@@pattgsm agree but also my point is that using them unzipped on the bottom is becoming more and more a trend in tech-fashion bc it allows different layering and everything you mentioned
I think you're trying too hard on Marcel's first outfit because there's nothing really bad about it. And on Daniel's first look, the cap tied the outfit together in a way that there's something different going on. Unlike what you suggested which is wearing a cap the same color as the coat, that would just look awful.
Damn some people forget the main point in the comments, yes style evolves over time and good fashion is subjective. But she's just giving her own perspective as someone who knows what's considered "good styling" in the eyes of the mainstream for both runway and streetwear. It's better to KNOW the rules before you break them, and she's just telling you the rules
I think she provides good basic mainstream fashion advice but I wouldn't describe her as innovative. Marcel and Daniel provide advice which is slightly outside the mainstream and that's their thing. Overall I don't see anything wrong with the outfits ie I wouldn't walk past them and say 'oh my God what are they wearing' Remember fashion isn't a science. You're meant to experiment and enjoy the clothes you wear.
Since everyone is a critic, where’s the channel that critics her? Lol 2022 and you still need “permission” of what to wear depending on what kids tell you?
Wonder who she styles? Seems like her style is kind of stuck in the 2010’s era. Cool to listen to her perspective but I thought fashion was suppose to be an expression of an individual. Some of her tips aren’t bad but doesn’t seem to factor in taking a risk or being your own person.
Re: Richie Le's second outfit...those are Travis Scott Dunks. I would never wear a dark wash jean with those sneakers for fear they would bleed onto the sneaker. Those sneakers sell for over 2k.
And those loafers are a modern casual take on the typical dressier loafer, like all of fear of god’s stuff. And she wanted to replace that with normal boring typical penny loafers lol
Price never should be the reason you wear something. Wear it because you love it and/or it works. I hope he really loves them, because they don't work for his frame and makes his foot look big relative to his stature.
@@MensFashioner I'm not saying those shoes are worth that price, I'm pointing out that they're not "cheap". I've held a pair and the quality is actually pretty good.
About the first outfit of Marcel (aka One Dapper Street) that jacket is particular bc it's composed of that "second jacket" underneath. Sorry for my bad English, but what I mean is that you can't separate the two since it's part of the outer jacket itself
9:50 those Birkenstock i believe, looks really good and complements the cozy overall vibe of the outfit .A leather boot doesn't match the vibe idk what you are talking about ,idk if you know what you are talking bout
About the first outfit. Marcel's jacket is like 2 in 1. There is no bomber jacket 😁. And the white jeans, he said many times that he likes to wear them all year round.
Even more reason to ditch the jacket then! He can do as he pleases, but walking around snowy NYC in white pants as a regular dude looks weird - trust me on that one.
Ok she lost me with Richie 2nd outfit. Understandably she didn’t know. That hoodie is Richie clothing brand, its a hoodie with a gray hood. Not a gray hoodie with a brown sweatshirt on top of it. Not her fault but to critique that it turned me off of what’s she’s doing for this video idea.
Completely disagree on the white jeans only in summer/spring. When things are dull, dark, and gloomy the pop of white makes things brighter, hopeful, happier. Also on Marcel's outfit he isn't wearing a bomber underneath the burgundy jacket, that's the inner lining of the jacket. Meant to give the Illusion of an underlayer.
Exactly. Explorer sheikh. I liked to wear a olive green parka with white pants in the winter.( not Chino pants) but jeans because that's what the military would wear. White to blend in with snow & green to blend in with Christmas tree's
I totally get it when you set rules for the seasons but then again if you know what you're doing, it won't really matter. I think the white pants are fine if you live in an urban area like NYC. What I love about Marcel is that even though I don't always find all his outfits to my taste, it's stepping out of the norm. I see you keep suggesting the same exact stuff... if everyone provided the same advise by wearing the same typical dark wash or light wash jeans, then it's nothing new worth exploring.
I'm a bit confused. Do light colors in the summer keep you cooler and dark colors in the winter keep you warmer? I wear light wash denim in the winter and feel no difference.
@@박중훈-n5o Makes sense I guess. Where I'm from we have cold winters and there are lots of people who wear white winter coats and light wash jeans which is pretty normal so probably not a hard rule
Yes typically wearing light colors in summer will make the light from the sun bounce off the clothing item, so you won’t be absorbing heat from your clothing and will be a lot cooler. On the other hand, if you wear black on a sunny summer day then you’ll be really hot and sweating a lot because dark colors absorb light and heat. If you do decide to wear darker colors, make sure it’s in a fabric that’s breathable like viscose or linen
I don't wear chinos anymore and I only wear dark colors. Nothing with holes and I always wear socks. The younger guys can pull that off, but not me. LOL.
I fully accept that Ashley has an incredibly good sense of style. The seasonal color thing seems too arbitrary to me, though. if you have to check your calendar to see if something works rather than just using your eyes, then that doesn't seem like a reliable measure of what looks good.
I hear that. But i also think it's a subconscious thing. Dark colors in warmer months hits a little strange, and vice versa. It may well work as an ensemble in the mirror, but outside in relation to the world it _feels_ wrong. I realize you're being facetious about the calendar, but there's only 4 of them... most people instinctively know what season they're in currently. Plus... there may well be some small element of *tribalism* to seasonal colors. Maybe being 180º out of phase with the rest of society is your thing, and more power to you if that's the case. But often "fashionable" and "timeless style" is about checking off the right pre-existing aesthetic boxes for a pleasing look. I often think Ashley's mission is to help some of us learn to _see_ these 'boxes' because for whatever reason, we don't realize they exist. (Certainly, I didn't. And I'm working on it.) And yes, I agree her palettes are generally limited, and we could theoretically fall into a trap of all of us ending up looking exactly the same... but I think it's actually another case of learning and understanding the 'rules' _before_ you go breaking them.
@Scott - Speaking the gospel!! Start here, learn all the ropes by trying, then go beyond it, if you want to. My favorite is guys who say, "So then we'll all look the same?" When you look around, there's maybe a single digit percentage of men who dress the way I'm proposing, and they're loving all the attention they get simply for dressing a little better than the average guy.
@@Scott.Sandifer That was a really strong point and I am really impressed. I still disagree but I have to give you some credit. Yes I was being facetious, and yes most people know what season they're in, but seasons are different everywhere and light colors occur naturally in colder months as well as darker colors occurring naturally in warmer months and I don't feel an innate connection between color and outdoor temperature that correlates with these rules. I don't think society as a whole follows these rules generally or naturally. I think people with awesome celebrity stylists do. So like Men's Fashioner says, you will be more likely to be out of phase, or in the (better dressed) single digit percentage if you are following the rule. Just to be clear, I think these videos are amazing and insightful and have benefitted me dramatically. My only contention is with the season based color rules. You made a good point and are probably right, and even though I still disagree with the color rule I find it useful to learn about it.
Her advice is all her personal taste, this video should be called how to not take any chances with your outfit and make it more boring and conservative, don’t listen to this advice
This is a very good series! I would like to see you talk about all the 3 members of Gentleman’s Gazette, Frugal Aesthetic (for this one it’s probably better to react to several outfits of his to more understand his style) and the Modest Man
That's a big problem it seems for everyone who watches these "fashion influencers" and take what they say as gospel. How old are you if you don't mind me asking? 50, 60? Perhaps then you would steer clear from the fashion outfit ideas that Flores and others provide. You can be in your 40s and still be able to wear hoodies, nike sneakers, etc. and not look ridiculous. This idea that once you hit your mis 20's one should not wear certain clothes or dress a certain way is ridiculous. Look at the Style OG. He's in his 40s and although he always recommends chinos, sweaters and other classic casual fashions, he still sports preppy and street wear styles and looks great when doing so.
Be yourself. I respect her but not gospel. She’s highly focused on styles that are great for so cal weather. Her cold weather clothing principles are text book and standard. The white jeans were an example of that. White ski outfits are fairly standard so why not jeans. Spring in SoCal is completely different than spring in NY, Germany, Scandinavia, Canada…or Miami. Spring temp can get into the low 40’s overnight and 70’s at 2pm. Beanie for spring socal may be interesting but necessary in NYC. Also Marcel is an athlete and his style represents his energy, dynamic, and competitive nature. I can use the other as examples too. Be true to yourself.
@@KC-bv9kf for sure. I'm trying to just listen to as many of them as possible and then come up with things I feel comfortable in. I'm Canadian and early spring here still warrants a beanie most mornings. I don't take her word as gospel, I respect her opinion but most of her stuff is pretty preppy. I'm a little more casual than that, that's why I like Marcel. I didn't mean to say I'm too old for all of his styles but there are some that are definitely too young for a 40 year old. This all started when I turned 40 too. I felt this really strange, really strong need to refine my style and make sure I was dressing appropriately for my age. I guess I'm still doing it but I'm realizing not everything has to be polos and chinos when you're in your 40's. I'm starting to think that the most important thing about whatever you wear is that it fits you well. Thanks for reply! Have a good one!
In this other Video, Tom ford also styles someone in a brown jacket and white pants. It could work, but the loafers Tom ford selects feel off as the top is heavy. Guys let’s not forget that her channel it’s not made for fashion enthusiasts, it’s made for mens in their 40’s who don’t know how to pull of the most basic of outfits (there are a lot of them out there). For guys like us, her advices will always sound stupid because we like fashion, we care about trends, we know how to experiment and elevate your style and leave the comfort zone. Most men watching her videos just want to know the basics, and her advices are good for those people. We (fashion enthusiasts) should never watch her videos to help us get more creative and to get more ideas, we should stick with other Chanels to dress better, because she is not teatching anything to us, because we already know what she is telling, this is a Channel for people who don’t know how to dress, not a channel to people who really love do dress and express their personality true clothes. What is really chocking to me it’s the fact the she is a stylist and doesn’t have an open mind about clothing.
Oh and I forgot to mention, she is wrong in every single little thing she mentioned in Daniel Simmons outfit, his outfits are perfect, and she is a really trashy stylist, for sure she wouldn’t work a LV, Rick Owens, ISL, … . She doesn’t like fashion forward cuts on clothes, witch is a MASSIVE problem for a stylist. She just doesn’t understand hype fashion.
Alright I'm white as hell and I thought you said light colors wash people like us out? Can you make a spring/summer video for colors like what colors to avoid and what colors work for each skin tone?
I see everyone else in the comments is also thinking the same thing… she is very rigid in her perception of mens style. It’s conventional looks or bust with her. Respectfully, that isn’t fun and doesn’t lend itself to the purpose of style: self-expression. These suggestions she’s offering just make the outfits more socially acceptable (i.e., common).
Also, I don’t know if she noticed… her recommendations for all of these are essentially, if not literally (e.g., khaki chinos, leather lace up boots) the same… Literally makes me think of a J. Crew stylist.
"These suggestions she’s offering just make the outfits more socially acceptable" which is completely fine. Most of these fashion youtubers are targeting a younger audience (25 and younger") they get away with alot more. You can walk around like a clown and people will think its fine because you are still a teen. At some point you dont want to look like an attention whoring youngster hunting trends but a mature adult with proper basic sense of style. These youtubers also live in bubbles. I can garantuee you that unless they walk around in new york or a similiar big fashion city, people will laugh at them. You stick out so much to the point that everyone will think you are desperate for attention. Thats not a characteristic any adult should be identified with. I also think that this channel targets more beginners and my believe is that you need to understand basics first to then venture out. Same goes for drawing for example where you learn basic principles and then find your own style later on. I gotta admit that Im also a little bit resentful because searching for style youtubers can be quite hard if you dont want to be too experiemental.

With regards to the first outfit from One Dapper Street, I feel as though white jeans are appropriate all year round a la Alessandro Squarzi. However I do feel Marcel could have paired the jeans with hiking and/or chelsea boots instead of sneakers to be more fall/winter specific.
Good tips. I think for general conservative men style this is perfect. I do wonder don't this take away the aspect that outfits are also meant to be individualized?

She made the fits worse, she’s not very good with personal style and she doesn’t have a good knowledge of designer brands and styles. She literally called the fear of god loafers “cheap” lmaooo. T
I feel like (atleast for Daniel) these are all older outfits and now their fashion has significantly improved
Only for him tbh the rest are all stuck in 2015 lol
Facts bro🖒
Would love to see her react to WISDM’s outfits as they are waayyyyy out there and she seems to always gravitate towards the most basic of basics.
_"Ooh, nice photography, expensive clothes... this must be a good look, right?"_ When Ash breaks them down with the same rules she preaches to us, I think it really solidifies her concepts.
her entire style advice is just to switch out any pant style other than chinos and denim... to chinos or denim
I really do appreciate your rating on men's combo, but personal style counts,we can't be creative in our own style if we just want to follow what everyone else is wearing or thinks cuz being stylish is inner creativity and not opinions 👍🏼
She called Richie lee shoes zara high tops 🤣 I'm so dead those are Travis Scott SB lows, that would be so painful for Richie 🤣🤣🤣
I think Marcel's style is extraordinary (one dapper street). He has always involved his style.
I know you like classy style and safe play
But I prefer Marcel's experimental manner more (white jeans , patchy Jeans amd stuff like that....❤️ )
Cauz at the end - we wear which we love
@@skyhook9337 Agreed ❤️
But Marcel is an influencer .
@@skyhook9337 Indeed 🤝
In the first picture that was shown, Marcel wanted to wear whites in winter, that was a kind of theme for this winter for him.
And if I'm not wrong, it's not two jackets. The middle layer is just a faux jacket stitched to the outer one.

lights colours are great in winter it brightens the place up and makes you feel good. Fashion is subjective and who cares.
She is gatekeeping fashion lmao
Me too!
Don't forget Mark Cho and Alan See from the Armoury
Well if there would be a video on Rafael’s style it would probably be better if Preston and Kyle would be featured as well
Richie literally owns a fashion brand 😂😂😂
@@kbhoioejma Richie le is very cookie cutter too tho lol
@Jesus - Brands don't mean it looks good or works well for you. That's an amateur move. I know exactly what he was going for, and the choice to sport a label instead of something that actually works for him is where he messed up.
Hey Ashley, Heres my challenge. How would you dress a rapper like Post Malone, Lil Pump, Migos and such? And what can you say about Jerry Lorenzo’s way of fashion?
She usually dresses those guys VERY different from the advice she gives on her RUclips channel.
Love love LOVE this series. Please continue!!!
Light colours are great for winter (if you looking for explanation: snow is white)
Check out PART 2 of this video where I rated more of their outfits that were cut for time: mfer.link/mfrates2
I think the green and black was perfect on Jeff. The contrast was perfect.
The way I talk to the average guy and how I dress my clients is not the same. Check the IG for how I dress my clients - definitely not the same.
You’re absolutely right. She’s awful lol
Haha 😄 I know your husband dressing sence too 🤣... she thinks herself as a queen 😀😀
Dude what are these rules lol. Fashion is so subjective, it’s stupid that ppl “judge” them
I love these videos keep them coming :)
One dapper street is the best!!!
Richie’s second outfit is not a hoodie and jacket layer…. It’s literally one hoodie… the hood is different from the bottom.
Since everyone is a critic, where’s the channel that critics her? Lol
2022 and you still need “permission” of what to wear depending on what kids tell you?
I'm curious to know what your opinion is on influences such as jairwoo Paul zedrich and style og
Wonder who she styles? Seems like her style is kind of stuck in the 2010’s era. Cool to listen to her perspective but I thought fashion was suppose to be an expression of an individual. Some of her tips aren’t bad but doesn’t seem to factor in taking a risk or being your own person.
Please review Frugal Aesthetic!
Love these types of videos. Can we get part 3?
Thank you for this Ashley!
so basically wear like it's 2010?
Great video! Parker York Smith and Hespoke style if you do another 😁
Thank you for always providing great content!
Marcel is not wearing 2 jacket for layering it is one jacket giving the feel of 2 I believe that is from soctch and soda
Re: Richie Le's second outfit...those are Travis Scott Dunks. I would never wear a dark wash jean with those sneakers for fear they would bleed onto the sneaker. Those sneakers sell for over 2k.
Those "cheap" loafers with the gummi soles are $700 Fear of God loafers 🤣
And those loafers are a modern casual take on the typical dressier loafer, like all of fear of god’s stuff. And she wanted to replace that with normal boring typical penny loafers lol
Price never should be the reason you wear something. Wear it because you love it and/or it works. I hope he really loves them, because they don't work for his frame and makes his foot look big relative to his stature.
@@MensFashioner I'm not saying those shoes are worth that price, I'm pointing out that they're not "cheap".
I've held a pair and the quality is actually pretty good.
I always enjoy your energy and videos!
About the first outfit of Marcel (aka One Dapper Street) that jacket is particular bc it's composed of that "second jacket" underneath.
Sorry for my bad English, but what I mean is that you can't separate the two since it's part of the outer jacket itself
Richie le’s hoodie is a two tone hoodie
the sweatshirt is brown but the hood is grey!
I have that hoodie myself
9:50 those Birkenstock i believe, looks really good and complements the cozy overall vibe of the outfit .A leather boot doesn't match the vibe idk what you are talking about ,idk if you know what you are talking bout
She’s making every fit into the exact same thing. This isn’t fashion this is just clothing
About the first outfit. Marcel's jacket is like 2 in 1. There is no bomber jacket 😁. And the white jeans, he said many times that he likes to wear them all year round.
❤️yepp
Even more reason to ditch the jacket then! He can do as he pleases, but walking around snowy NYC in white pants as a regular dude looks weird - trust me on that one.
Ok she lost me with Richie 2nd outfit. Understandably she didn’t know. That hoodie is Richie clothing brand, its a hoodie with a gray hood. Not a gray hoodie with a brown sweatshirt on top of it. Not her fault but to critique that it turned me off of what’s she’s doing for this video idea.
"Is it winter or spring?"
You clearly have never visited Vancouver or Seattle
where I can find the blouse you r wearing?
As an educator, I just don’t think people want to always look like a teacher. But, maybe that’s the style for this channel
Been enjoying your videos so far!
As a sneaker enthusiast, would love to see a video where you give us a woman’s opinion on current hyped sneakers
Its all about how other people feel when looking at your outfit. Dark colors will give that warm ambiance and light colors for cooler ambiance :)
To be fair white jeans in winter has been popping up everywhere and it also helps create a statement
More videos like this please. Really enjoyed it.
You should do hespoke style and parker York smith
Thanks for the video, fun to watch
am i the only one who never pays attention to the season? i wear basically the same style year round 😭
Ashley can you please make a video on how to style jordan 1’s high!
she called a natural/ crepe sole "gummy".....also said they look cheap. 🙃
You should review he spoke style that guy is pure class...
I would pick Daniel Simmons outfits over her picks any day.
100%
Richie Le: Did you say olive? Lol (Richies favorite color)
This is a very good series! I would like to see you talk about all the 3 members of Gentleman’s Gazette, Frugal Aesthetic (for this one it’s probably better to react to several outfits of his to more understand his style) and the Modest Man
Really hoping to see more summer styles in a while!! ❤️
Ashley with a bodycount, slay, queen
I usually always like Marcels style but I also fully recognize that I'm too old for it...
@@bigvanvader3122 hey, I'm actually 41 so maybe I can still pull it off. I haven't seen the Style OG. I'll check it out. Thanks for the reply!
I love this channel, I hope you also make videos for women's clothes maybe in a separate channel?
How about John of 40 Over Fashion?
For the first Richie Le outfit with draw string pants and navy shirt, it looks weird that he just has the draw string just hanging.
Also, I don’t know if she noticed… her recommendations for all of these are essentially, if not literally (e.g., khaki chinos, leather lace up boots) the same…
Literally makes me think of a J.
Spot on! Appreciate your sincere open and honest critique of each gentlemen's style attire with emphasis on balance to take the look to its highest potential thanks 🤓
She’s not a very good stylist. She doesn’t know trends lol. Those are fear of god loafers. Def not cheap. I really feel like she only knows and likes one type of style. She prolly styles are her dudes the exact same, or very similar
With regards to the first outfit from One Dapper Street, I feel as though white jeans are appropriate all year round a la Alessandro Squarzi. However I do feel Marcel could have paired the jeans with hiking and/or chelsea boots instead of sneakers to be more fall/winter specific.
Gotta rate my guy Demetrios Levi. His style is wild and i love it
Guess her advice is for guys with not much fashion knowledge but if you been into fashion not just your stereotypical style it does not workout.
Great series, please consider Style OG and He Spoke Style next

Good video. One of many takeaways: shoes are critical!
Good tips. I think for general conservative men style this is perfect. I do wonder don't this take away the aspect that outfits are also meant to be individualized?
It’s silly, you need to look cool and fashionable now not 10 years later, Birkenstock are really trendy now, when they will go out of fashion you won’t wear them but now it’s definitely a beautiful pair
