    I have the same engine. When unscrewing the oil filling cap, the cap lifts up by its own, instead of being sucked down onto the engine opening. Is this positive pressure inside the valve gasket normal? I thought inside the valve gasket there is a negative pressure.

    Please can you tell me, where I should check for vacuum leak in this engine ? I replaced the gaskets, but now there is vacuum leak.

    Is it possible to disassemble intake manifold in two pieces and clean it, inside, with carb cleaner?

    Do you happen to know if the process is the same for removing the manifold on a corsa D? Thanks!

    Can a faulty intake manifold gasket cause a coolant leak on the Z series engines like this one? Thanks

    • @doit_vehicles
      @doit_vehicles  3 года назад +1

      No

      @@doit_vehicles Thanks. So one shall definitely look at the head gasket, EGR gasket and timing gasket if no visible leak is found around the engine bay (and the heater core isn't leaking) yet the level slowly drops when running.

      the coolant can leak through 3 points : external ( easy to be spoted ) internal into the oil channels ( easy to be spoted ) and combustion chamber ( hard to find ) for the last one an option is to remove the spark plugs and insert a tiny camera and check the cylinder walls for any water drops .

    Doesn’t really show things in detail as expected. Like how you got the wire clip from behind off... I needed to clean the intake manifold a long time ago since it was never done. The car is now around 231.000 km and the engine is performing poorly since the manifold is full of carbon.

    you mean that this manifold can be separated in two parts via the clips around it?
