    Sasha the man. This guy is a genius. He made 600hp from a naturally aspirated VQ (just think about that for a second) then he's integrating a hybrid system into it. I don't know many people who understand both EVs and ICE's as well as this guy.

      Still has room in the bay for turbos or a supercharger as well. Makes what a twin turbo Z does while still NA which is a testament to how awesome the hybrid conversion is on its own...but there's still so much power left on the table.

      @F Malik he is saying this car wouldn’t pass emissions, so you wouldn’t be able to get tags on your car, so you can’t get it registered. But if Nissan took the idea (blueprint) they would obviously install high performance cats and detune/get more fuel efficiency wherever necessary.

    • @wparsons
      @wparsons 4 года назад +8

      My guess is it'll shut down the gas engine when stopping/stopped, and use pure electric to get rolling, then just add fuel/spark to the gas engine once rolling and it'll fire up.

    On Point: VH41/45 block, LS7 GM Darton MID Sleeves, VK45 crankshaft, Alu Rods, Supremex MMC forged piston at 4.185in./106.30mm bore size, titanium valves, DLC coated buckets and everything.
    VK56 welded ported heads and sheet metal intake.
    10,500-11,000 rpm super oversquare with the 2.99in/76mm stroke and 4.185in./106.30mm bore for 329 cubic inches or 5.4L displacement. With Aluminum rods, 7mm stem titanium valves, and SupremEx pistons speeds around 6000 feet per second will be possible with track endurance. 76mm stroke has excellent main/rod journal overlap for incredibly stiff crank with small webs/throws. The VH45DE block is unbelievable. Makes VR38DETT block look weak and will take the 4.200 bore capable LS7 style Darton MIDs. VK blocks don't have the material near the base of the cylinders.
    Figured I'd share my research with you guys because you have the resources and the will to do it. A 5.4 liter mill like that will get you the GT2 winning numbers.
    Might even consider solid deck using a separate radiator for head cooling with lower temperature and lighter weight oil? Run the heads at 125f/55C? Don't know if that's legal with older GT rules?

    It’s better to have a PHEV over an EV, well EVs are great for the environment, but there not great cars for power outages for days, and auto brands should be going PHEV rather than EV only just because we still need gas for emergencies, and power outages aren’t gonna shorten sooner, and brands need to improve the electric range in their plug in hybrids so that way they might have an even longer range than electric only.
