+Justin Opinion - the fact that you need a tool to field strip the pistol coupled with the sights being almost unusable at night (too dim) made it a no-go for me. I do give Sig high-marks for innovation. Just my personal Opinion. Thanks for another well-done and informative video!
MDpolo Gun Channel I’m with you on that, I didn’t really see the point of this gun since the P365 didn’t really snag on anything and I’m not a big fan of those sights. I will say Sig does a good job innovating
I watched a newer video on the sight. The guy called Sig they told him that they told him that the torx 9 screws on the back of the sight are too tight from the factory due to stacking tolerances. They recommend loosening them and only doing hand tight! I would also add some blue lock tight on them for good measure! Too bad sig doesn't make it better known, so people don't think it's them!
I love sig because they make a lot of great pistols and are very innovative, but sometimes I think they could do a better job testing and vetting their products before releasing them. I don't see the follow up video about the sights yet, but am looking forward to it. Thanks Justin!
Love helpful people. Had a guy come up to me at the range to advise me that I was putting too much finger on the trigger, and that's why I was pulling right. I had to advise him that I shoot quadrants to save paper, so all of those bullets going into that little square were on purpose. #thanksforthehelp
I am sure you figured this out....when you push the gun out to your target get a green dot first, then you must get a green halo around the green dot...then you are dead on your target
I think those sights are great for impulse buyers... the gun shop commandos tried to tell me how great the sights were over the original ones, but I went with the normal ones... and we all know “all” self defense shootings are within 7 yards.... wait a second ;\ Good job as always
95%+ are. and 99.9% of all ppl never get in a defensive shooting. plan for "what's likely", not "what could . just cuz 0.0000000000001% involve lvl3 body armor doesnt mean i should start carrying an AR-10 with AP rounds.
Damn i bought it as an not as impulse buyer but!, I should have done research on it first. I'm just gonna add a holosun optic or change the upper to a original.
I have the P938 SAS. The P365 and 938 are not target pistols. To get the best results, stay within 10 yards, thats their designed range. Extend the arms and keep both eyes open and you should see the bullseye roughly centered. Point the gun at center mass of the target, center the bullseye and pull the trigger. With a little practice this is a bit quicker than sight alignment with target sights.
Icing on the cake for me! I'm convinced that I DO NOT want the SAS anymore. The sights were very captivating whilst looking at the gun store stuffed turkey . I still love my P938 SAS though!
I keep hearing complaints about the 365 triggers. I have the X Macro Tacops version. At first trigger was slightly gritty but after a couple hundred rounds smoothed right out to a very nice trigger pull.
That 365 sas will be a discontinued model by the end of the year, I don't think I've seen one person have good things to say about it yet, I know of a few people who went out right away and got one, only to sell it shortly after trying it out.
After picking up all three P365’s last fall at an LGS I ended up bringing home the P365XL. I just love the full grip and it’s kind of surprising what a pleasant shooter it is. But, after looking down the slide of the SAS, I can see that mucho training would be involved in shooting it well. Lining up the little golf ball under stress, it seems to me, would require many, many presentation reps. I’ll stick with the beautiful Sig X-Ray sights.
I wa thinking of switching from the XS Big Dot ( Which I have on my G17 and really like. For those on my G19. After seeing that the answer is... I'll stick with the XS Big Dots or their new RAM 3 dot sights!
Just, I had heard that they shoot 4 inches left. A range buddy of mine called Sig about it and they (Told him to test fire it from a bench) He did and they were spot on (so the guy says). Might be a good test for ya.
@@JustinOpinionChannel I think you completely missed my point considering the SAS is meant to be a self defense gun, my point being why should you need to bench rest a self defense gun?? 🤔 It's basically point and shoot it's not designed for pin point accuracy
@@Highgear145 you are the one missing the point. the person's point who brought up the bench was that the sights are actually on, its just that we all need to relearn this new sighting system.
I sold my original P365 to buy the P365XL and I’m very glad I did, I looked at a SAS but don’t really see the point, the original P365 didn’t snag on anything and I don’t think I’d want my carry gun ported. And I’m not a big fan of those sights, I like traditional sights much better, it’s what I’m used to.
There was another RUclipsr who had the same issue where it shot consistently 11'O'Clock ...he took it back and they gave him another one and it was dead on bulls eye. You may also have one that was set on in the factory.
I love my “standard” P365 and carry it every day. But I have to say that the SAS seems to be an answer to a question that nobody was asking. Is 9mm recoil such an issue that the public was calling for a ported 3.1 inch barrel?? And this is the 2nd major channel that has had issues with those sights. (See Military Arms Channel”. No thanks.
I used a laser in the barrel of my Sig and at thirty feet, the barrel was off from the sights the exact amount where my hits were hitting! I have seen your shooting to know you are right about the sights!! SigP22o 45 acp
I shot a friends SAS and I too shot way to the left plus there is no way to adjust the sight. Also I didn't care for the porting. Sig puts great sights on their P365 and the XL so I think this will just be a passing fad. Looking forward to your upcoming Python review I'm sure is coming soon.
Hi, I just put a p320xf in .9mm on "layaway". I have a dilemma, I originally wanted a .40, should I get a conversion kit up to .40 caliber and call it good or just change to the .40 caliber gun? The gun shop hasn't ordered yet and they just had the one .9mm "in shop" . Thanks in advance!
I own this sig and I couldn’t hit anything with it so I bought the sig red dot for it. If I could do it over again I would’ve went with the night sights version and the red dot because it’s pretty bad ass
As far as H&K goes I’ve had my USP 40 for 32 years paid 525.00 out the door. Carry and shoot it all the time have no clue how many rounds possible 50,000 still functioning like new. H&K is so battle proven. I think I had a malfunction first five rounds or so but after that it’s been 100% reliable. I would definitely carry it into an Apocalyptic situation. Just my experience.

This gun should be used for quick off handed or draw with quick non-sight accusistion. Maybe, not the best gun for plinking. But, quick pull and four or five target take out with little or no sight use...Delta kill room exercise...
I think about 30% of the SAS sights are off... My cousin bought one and was really excited about it, until he shot it and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn... He brought it to me, and I couldn't hit the target with it either. Through experimentation, we found that the sight was about 2 1/2 feet left at 8 yards. Sig just slaps that sight on and doesn't even test the zero. So, its a crap shoot as to weather you get one that shoots to point of aim, or hell and gone off the target... I'm sure SIG will fix it if they continue with this model.
First. Thanks for the video. Sig would call it normal hitting at 11 o'clock. I have has a few concerns with my P365 and sig always says it's normal. Even though none of my other pistols have the same issues. Peening. Chassis being loose in the grip module. Sig customer service blows IMO concerning this P365. Sold my P320 after the drop safety recall. Contemplating selling my p365 and staying away from sig striker fired pistols.
That might be the best yet. Built-in 'hostage taker' windage. And since most people are right-handed, they probably would be to the left, as you noted. :D
I will not carry a ported pistol. Due to it possibly injuring the person using it. When in very close quarters encounters. Still a decent firearm at its core but I will stick with my normal sites.
Yes, if you have proper training you do. That's like asking if you would use your steering wheel in a sudden driving emergency. Not saying you align them to get a "sight picture", but they would be in your scope of awareness and your muscle memory would align them probably more than you think. This is assuming you have trained and done thousands of repetitions. What are your thoughts?
A gun costing that much should be test fired at the factory to make sure it is dead on. I bought a Walther PPK 30 years ago and it came with a paper target that showed it shot slightly lower right of center. Atleast I saw the factory test target before I bought the gun. This gun cost way too much for it to have the problems I have been seeing with it. I was in the market for a smaller gun than my Glock 26 and was looking at this gun but now, I am convinced to stick with Glock. Glock 43x is probably what I will get.
