They lost, but there are still statues up, despite the fact they betrayed the US. A participation trophy is given out during to youth sports for participation, so everyone receives one regardless of winning or losing. Thus, Confederate statues are large participation trophies for the Civil War.

I'm not anti vax, but I limited how many vaccines were given AT ONCE with the pediatrician's provided alternative schedule photocopied from a medical publication... My son is very healthy AND fully vaxed. The real concern is 5 or more at once to children under 3 is not proven to be SAFE.

I don't really trust that theology though, I certainly know they've done little to accept people like myself (an intersexed lesbian who, due to the intersex condition, was raised as a male). I think I'm definitely now theistic rather than generally agnostic, I'm sure that somewhere in this majestic reality of fractally infinite wonder there's at least one benevolent power/intelligence that deserves the title "God", but I'm still firmly agnostic about the details.
