I like how the wrap over skirt looks as well. I agree with you that the flatter front appearance of the extra panel you sewed in makes it smoother. Too many gathers are just not flattering. I like that you're including the fit issues you encountered and how you fix them with these Burda Patterns. I can't wait to see what you're making for July!
Gorgeous makes. I made the 109 top but I should have though more carefully about my measurements as it came up way too big on me. Yours looks great. Also love the black floral dress
I'm so glad that you had so many wins this month; it sort of makes up for the chevron bias issue. I love wearing bias cut garments but I don't look forward to sewing them. I was crushed about your dress being torn as it is so lovely. I totally get where you're coming from though. My husband has a 4 wheel drive truck (he was an emergency on call person in his last job, so had to be out in inclement weather) and I do not enjoy getting in and out of it. You did a fabulous save on your dress though, because you can't tell where it was torn. What a great save for such a lovely dress! Everything was nice but for some reason I really like the 109 top. I don't get the Burdastyle magazine anymore, but I do have Burda 6502. When we get finished moving. I'll have to make it up after seeing yours.. For some reason, I don't know if its the style or the fabric, but it's my very favorite garment this month. Congrats on all your sucesses this month.
