I was out in my car one day on my rural property listening to heavy metal music and about 6 or 7 bulls came to the cattle fence separating their land from mine, the younger ones started bucking and head butting each other playing around while the older guys just stood and watched and listened. it was awesome.

Has been known for years if you play music cow's milk quicker my Uncle was a dairy farmer for years always had the radio on in the milking shed you could see the cow's loved it

I've tried this same thing and that's exactly what happened! I think for some reason cows do love accordion music they all have to get as close to the accordion as possible then just stand there and enjoy it. It's Awesome! Also, What's weird is the same cows didn't even care about the flute when I played that to them lol this made me like cows even more haha

Yeah, I'm wondering if they were responding to the music or just to the sound. It would have been interesting to see if they responded to non-musical sounds on the accordion.
They woulda came an investigated if he just stayed calm without the music. If you remain calm around them and not make sudden movements they will come right up to the fence. I have 30 head and one acts just like a dog. When I bring them corn. All but the one are skiddish. The “weird” one will come and bump you with his head and pretty much tell you “hurry up and give me some corn!” He also lets you pet him and is quite smarter than the rest of the heard. Cattle are funny animals

I played accordion when I was young & you brought back memories. I'm glad that even the cows liked it.

This is a big instrument and you can see him working it, but it requires much less pumping than a small one. I imagine you are thinking of something like the ones pirates play in movies, where they constantly push and pull.

I was raised on a ranch. Cattle are very curious, and often hilarious. They would come over to investigate if he'd done nothing but stand there. Over the years, they've been trained to expect food when humans show up. Granted there was a pasture full of grass, but they would prefer grain.
A nice day, green pasture to graze on and music to boot. I think those cows are well treated too, you can see they like that musical human.
If you consider "well-treated" being loaded onto slaughterhouse trucks in a few months and then seeing each of their friends getting killed right in front of them...or are you leaving that part out intentionally?
SOS Alert These cows aren't for eating. They're not fattened up, and they're eating grass instead of hay and somesuch. Very well taken care of, compared to the normal factory cow.

Max Loh Cows do like music, but they are picky. If the music in the Mike house got to loud, or wasn't the more soothing kind of music, milk production went down. So unless I wanted to get into trouble with Dad, I knew better than play any rock and roll.

When I was a small boy, our local farmer used to have the radio playing in the milking shed,he claimed it made the cows give more milk, better still, they tended toward more docility when the music was playing, (this was in hand milking days of course.I often wonder what modern cows would think of Micheal Jackson's songs?

I leave the music on when I leave for my 2 cats!! lol I have watched Food Inc. and they torture animals and they have a miserable existence, which in turn I really believe our meat can be toxic from this!
