    This is a true story: My stepson used to play his acoustic guitar in an old house (he played very well) and a MOUSE would come out of its hole to listen, and go back when he finished. It happened repeatedly, and was witnessed, so alchohol was not involved!

    • @SilverFlame819
      @SilverFlame819 3 года назад +169

      I used to watch TV late at night, and when I turned the TV on, a mouse would come out and sit in front of the TV and watch it with me, while giving himself a bath. When I turned the TV off, he'd disappear again. It was the damnedest thing. Never saw anything pooped on or chewed on, have no idea where he came from, but he was down with a good late night movie! :) Only happened for a few months though, and then I found him dead on the floor one morning, in his TV-watching spot. :(

      +Elric De Melniboné yes it is a very beautiful sound, BUT..
      if you ever play one in a city, they get really racist towards you.
      even those directly related to you.
      long ago I used to play around the Mt. Rushmore area in SoDak, that was a much better climate for that, sometimes I would get people stuck out there with a flute.
      don't know why it is like that, just seems to be.
      whats even better is that today these can be made of a plastic composite that will actually play in rain, the traditional wooden flute however will swell with just moisture in the air till it will not play and you can actually ruin the instrument with swelling/drying.
      I am a homeless native, I kept a composite model near where I sleep and those around me came and took the windblock and ruined the flute for me.. they don't know that the word "song" means "holy" in truth, they know not how much they hurt themselves.

Whilst playing an Irish flute a deer moved up very close and spent quite a long while just listening, before slowly, peacefully and quietly moving off. It was evidently fascinated and showed no sign of fear, seemingly calmed by the sound. It was an amazing event.

    One does not need to be Native American to play a Native American style flute, though some do.This is a contrabass flute and is exceptionally tall, so it has the power in it to play the low notes it is designed to play. It's not easy. If one thinks otherwise, let's hear you play one and post it here for everyone to hear. The man playing this flute does so very well and I enjoyed listening to his music, his songs. ....On the horse front, many folks who wrote comments, missed a lot of things the video presented. Yep, it didn't attract all the horses. The geldings didn't seem to particularly enraptured by the music, short of the one gelding that rolled. That, at least showed he was at ease enough to roll (a submissive stance, showing his belly) in the company of someone playing a flute, which is not probably the average thing that happens in the paddocks at a horse farm. The 2 horses, one sorrel and one white Arab, were both mares (did you note that?) The "ladies" loved his music and the musician, for playing it, not for a carrot, not for a treat, because they listened (watch their ears move back and forth as he plays). They liked it. They not only didn't move away, they actively sought him out in the paddock, wanted to be with this musician and his music. They gave all kinds of body language that tells that. Thank you for posting this. Sorry there are not more folks that understand the full implications of what you did. I thought it was great!

    That's a big flute, it's pretty close to bassoon territory!
    If you don't have any albums, you should make some, and if you do, where can they be bought? I like the lower keyed flutes.

      +SpiritBear12 Amon Olarin makes them, but i think he is done, which leaves Michael Graham Allen (who is actually a white man) who is capable, but always reluctant to do custom work (I know personally, I tried to get him to make me a bass plains flute like he played on the album "In Medicine River").
      I have bought from Amon Olarin a couple times in the past, see aoflutes.com

    • @capricorn1971ad
      @capricorn1971ad 7 лет назад

      +mlaiuppa he says right of the bat it is a F#, Amon Olarin makes a F# largebore native american flute.
      this isn't about looks like, this is about it IS.
      I'm not only telling you the type of flute but the maker of it as well, who would be Ken Light.
      see aoflutes.com
      last time I talked to Ken he sounded like he was done though really.
      you can still see his work at that site though.

      it's not unreasonable to assume that certain noises frequencies are calming. for example, babies tend to sleep better with white noise (static of tv, car engine sound etc) since it's pretty close to what blood flow sounds like within the womb.
