- In this video I am working on a 2Gb Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T to mainly address an oil leak issue generated at the cam seals. Hope you guys enjoyed the video, don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel (if you guys haven't already done so) and turn the notifications button. Thanks for viewing!
Would you happen to know how to fix a shock tower..?
Nah man, sorry. I actually have no knowledge as far as welding goes... I would ask body shops around your area to see if they are capable of that kind of work.
When you removed the timing belt any tips to make everything stay lined up? I have a cam lock tool that goes in from previous dsms ive had but my 96 gst is leaking a tad. There is small amounts of oil on the water pump, and down at the oil filter housing is a bit messy. Ive timed these up before but its been a minute. I just want to know what you did before you removed the t belt. Thanks.
On this car, I lined up the marks and then used an impact wrench to break the car gear bolts free before releasing the tension off the timing belt (at the tensioner pulley).
Cam seals do not rotate as the cam spins. It stays in place.
This one did, due to someone not installing them correctly.
@@DSMTHuNDeR oh gotcha. Thought you were saying that it’s suppose to spin. Lol
@@AWD_T lol I probably should of explained it in the video better. Good looking out though 🤙
@@DSMTHuNDeR No problem man. Keep the dsm content coming 👍
