@@RandyRandomson After the 74-72 game a few years ago happened (LSU vs TAMU I think), they changed the rule in, maybe, 2021 so that you have to go for two on the 2nd OT. Beginning in 3rd OT, you no longer start at the 25-yard line and have the opportunity to drive the ball. Instead, you just do 2pt attempts for each subsequent OT until someone messes up.

From the moment i turned on the game i was like “oh that crowd looks ready!!” Like this is no cupcake for Tech, this is a hostile environment
I live 1/4 mile from the stadium and I could hear the crowd after the last play
They tore the goal post down and took it through the town when we beat Air Force in 2002 😂😂
For Peasley to make THAT throw while microseconds away from being sacked, on fourth down no less, is extremely impressive

Shout out to the crowd! We know TTU isn’t a national championship contender but the fans don’t care they just wanted to watch a great game and that’s what they got. I agree with the field storm especially because it’s a BIG12 Team
Actually they were a dark horse champ contender. They were slated to be potentially what Kstate did last season, and if they beat Oregon then they would have the resume to make the championship if they won the B12.

By far the most exciting college football game in a while. That 4th and 7 in 2OT was the craziest and most unreal play I’ve seen in a very long time. Nice job, Wyoming!
UGA fan in Georgia. This just proves you don't need to be SEC for football to be extremely entertaining and fun to watch. Wyoming fans surprised me by how loud that stadium was. Talk about home field advantage. Thank you Wyoming and Texas Tech for a thoroughly entertaining game...go Dogs

I was positive that 'A' gap blitz was going to be the nail in the coffin. Watching it again, the defensive end fails to delay the tight end off the line. This gave the QB the precious moment he needed to complete the pass. Unreal.
From what it looks like (in my non-football player analysis, I was a lacrosse guy so this may be wrong) it seems there was not anyone assigned to the TE. Number 7 went to cover the RB, Number 19 went to cover the Receiver in the endzone, and with both Linebackers blitzing it left the middle of the field open right where the first down line was. Does this come down to a wise offensive playcall with a calm and poised QB, or was this a busted coverage by the defense?

@@dawsonbosco8217what the op said is correct, its called a chip block. Its used to mess up the timing of the QB/WR or this case the TE. If he makes that block the TE doesn't have time to get back on his route, even if he did it would slow him down enough for the D to close in on him.
A lifetime Husker fan here, but always respected and liked Wyoming. Glad to see them pull it out! What a great win!
I'm a younger guy and my first ever Husker game was vs. Wyoming in 2013. Got great seats right on the 50 yard line, was so excited. It was 100 degrees on the field that night and Wyoming came in to town and ALMOST beat us, but we pulled it out 37-34. Always had some level respect for Wyoming ever since then. The next time we played them it wasn't quite as close but I'll never forget that first game.

I used to recruit engineers from both of these two schools, and they're great colleges. I went to bed before 4th quarter and the OT on video was fabulous. Great job by both schools to play competitive football!

You won't see this type of OT action & winning celebration in the NFL, that's why I like college football!
These are games that make CFB great, despite tradition-killing realignment coming. A Power 5 school paying a visit to a school that never hosts a prime time game and gets exposure to more casual fans who wouldn't otherwise know who this team is, is what CFB needs more of. Wyoming winning when in their biggest spotlight in years couldn't make me any happier.
Looking forward to Tulane hosting Ole Miss. This makes me crave more Power 5 schools visiting overlooked Group of 5 schools.

After the Cowboys went down by 17 i was about ready to go fishing instead of watching the game, glad i decided to watch. Best game since we beat Missouri.
Definitely one of the bigger wins that Wyoming has had in a while, last time was 2016 I believe that was bigger when they upset a ranked Boise State team.

How can you not root for Craig and Wyoming. After getting down 17-0 I sure thought it was over but Wyoming showed no quit and battled back for the big upset win. Only thing I still don't like about the game is being forced to go for 2 in the second overtime.

That final TD was a textbook example of making a defense pay for an all out blitz.
QB stood in there like a champ knowing the hit was happening. The TE had the awareness to get that head turned back seeing the safety blitzing

This was a great game to watch. It was a perfect nightcap to kick off the official opening weekend of the season and what makes college football so special.

I live nearby War Memorial and wasn't at the game but was following live updates. No wonder it was close, I think the game ended around 10:30 or so and still heard stuff at the stadium until about 11:15.

What a humiliating defeat for Tech but at least it wasn't on their homefield. Congrats to the Cowboys for defending their turf and giving their home-fans to cheer for. Tech's got their home-owner coming up and they should be able to do the same. Lubbock has been waiting for a year for every home-opener, and next week's is no difference.

As a Texas Tech alum who graduated during the
Mahomes years--Wyoming has a stud QB and gonna have a great year clutch performance looked like Josh Allen with his side arm throws around defenders especially at the end to win it. Wish our QB had a little more Mahomes Magic but penalties and special teams did us in as much as our defense on the road. Wyoming won every phase of the game and came out on top in 2OT. Rooting for yall agaisnt UT at DKR in a few weeks might be playing Arch Manning after Ewers sees Bama in T-Town next week.

As a Tech fan, all i can say is congratulation to Wyoming. It was a hard fought game and everybody left it out on the field. I don't believe Tech took Wyoming for granted one bit. You can't take any opponent for granted whether they are CFS or not.

One time when we went camping at the lake, we had like a gallon jug of really good chocolate milk that had a yellow and brown label on it. To this day, every time I see Wyoming's endzone art, that's what it reminds me of. Maybe that association is why I don't hate their color combination the way most people seem to.
Wyo has great unis, very distinctive western lettering, and they rock the brown well
I always liked Wyoming's whole "scheme" and football and basketball stadium.
Something about it just seems perfect for a school that's really "out there".

Go Cowboys. My team (UNM) has another tough season ahead of them so I might find a few other teams to root for. The lesser known Cowboys is a good start.

Yellow and brown is a bad color combo. Red = healthy meat. Green = nice crisp clean veggies. Yellow = #1. Brown = #2. Case closed.
I like the colors too but I lived in Wyoming for a few years so maybe I'm a bit biased.
