Theres this weird glitch that allows you to be blue knuckles, 1st you need to enable sound test (Level Selection) Then go to 1 Player, and get a file with all emeralds offered to the master emerald, Make sure you dont give them power!, then go back to sound test and enable debug mode, go to sound test then go to hidden palace, holding A then press START, then switch gravity then put debug on and go all the way up (makr sure you sre yourself) and then go all the way left till you only see the background, if done correctly you should of have skipped knuckles's cutscene and not triggered it, then touch a super emerald and IMMEDIATELY run to a red sphere to fail the stage, if done correctly you should be teleported to the top of a flooded angel island, turn debug on then go down, you might get a screen seizure but dont worry, its good cause the game is gonna restart, then if you go to sound test you will see number: *80* below angel island, then hold A and press START to enter a zone and you will be able to play has blue knuckles! Thought theres a problem, the game detects you has sonic, so any pathway you go that requires knuckles, will result has death, i dont know why, but thats why you have to hold A then press START on a stage, NOTE: you cant beat mushroom hill act 2 since the boss goes offscreen *Edit: Hidden Palace is lava teed act 4 if you didnt know*
That's so cool! At 4:32 only pieces of the drill machine get loaded revealing unseen portions of it. Have the individual pieces of Robotnik's drill machine ever been ripped before?
There are other bosses this can happen to too. For instance, the Sandopolis boss can load without any armor and you can see a bunch of engine components that are hidden even when you knock the armor off normally. Big arms can also glitch up in rare circumstances and you can see the inside of the machine without anyone driving it.
This kind of reminds me of when I was in Carnival Night Zone Act 2, and a Badnik knocked me into the wall. I pressed right, and I pretty much skipped 90% of the act. Unfortunately, this was after I learned that you need to press up and down on the barrels. I feel like these games hate me.

Yeah. If i remeber correctly, bosses are different from individual sprites. They are self dependent so they are still in memory or the game.

At 1:03, did the object counter exceed 80? I thought the genesis could only handle 80 sprites maximum. Even if this is an emulator.
Also, certain glitches just change the game to Sonic & Knuckles
@@newgameld2512 no,the game cannot find any signal that says "Sonic 3 is locked" so it just boots Sonic & Knuckles instead.
I heard that booting S&k standalone or booting into the "no way" screen acts as a crash handler
