I did enjoy this...I've been a mechanic for a long time...the gizmo that you thought was a regulator is the electronic ignition module...it has to be grounded before the coil will fire..
That was the regulator hanging there. At 13:20 you can see the ignition module bolted to the firewall. The best thing to do with these old Dodges is to put a more modern fuel injected engine in them, I did that with my 83 Dodge 4x4 and never looked back. Mileage, power and starting are amazing over what the old carbureted engines can offer.
@@moparfan4388 I suppose that would be possible. However, I had two Dodge trucks with the 318 in them, a 1979 and 1985, both carbureted. Both were quite reliable and I piled the miles on them. My father had a 1980 Dodge truck with the 225 in it, the engine needed what we used to call a ring job at 80K miles. My father's truck should have at least made it to 120K before needing the engine at least partially rebuilt even back then, the 1979 I had made it to 200K without a rebuild (that truck pretty much only saw use by me as it had a manual transmission) and the 1985 received an engine rebuild at 140K, it still ran fine but it developed a few small oil leaks, may have burned a little bit of oil (but a tolerable amount) and some tappet ticks that I would have normally lived with but my father convinced me to have the engine rebuilt, the rebuilt engine made it to 270K without any major problems although the mechanic bored the cylinder walls out .060 and put performance parts in the engine.
Bueno para 500 no se puede pedir más esta súper además de el año que es esta genial es mi opinión personal ella es una reliquia no más le hace falta unos toquecitos
Hey buddy I know this is an old old video but do you still have the old Dodge camper you want to get rid of I'm just checking I'm interested if you do please let me know thank you
They did not pay that much money for a damn refrigerator trust me I mean by looking at that I would think they probably gave baby $50 for it and that's the truth
That isn't an RV refrigerator. That is a bar style that someone attempted to make look like a built-in. It might have cost $400 but it is definitely not the correct refrigerator for an RV (I owned a motorhome and two travel trailers and extensively traveled with the motorhome, the travel trailers were used for the family business). I guess if you are always going to use it connected to shore power the refrigerator might not be a deal breaker. I replaced one RV refrigerator, it was replaced with another one that ran on either propane or electric, my motorhome had a generator but I didn't want to run it constantly so I would run the refrigerator off of propane when I wasn't connected to shore power.
The miles don't match up with the condition of the upholstery I don't understand that was that back when they could Seth odometers and all that back in the day don't know I'll know when I finish watching this I love shows like this just to let you know
I wish I could find something like this that's where I would be living till the day I died and that's the truth. And I go to where nobody could ever find me other than my children and that would be it and I'd come out of my little cranny when I wanted to I'm 74 I've dealt with the world I don't like it anymore but I love my family they're my everything.
That’s not a bad shape that’s amazing. You know I had a 1986 years difference I think I bought mine with 105 on it. You got this for five dollars
Would love to fix that up, beautiful old rvs are the best
