Great review but really when you spend 2k on gun upgrades how good is the gun really ? You should break down the best carbine guns that you don't think are over priced and a gun you don't feel you need to add 2k worth of upgrades for it to a good gun
I have a 995TS-CA (Grrrr because of the mag release tool required to be legal) I can attest my 995TS has never had a single FTF, FTE or had ANY problem in over 1800 rounds. Since I live in SoCal with their stupid 10 round mag restrictions, it just doesn't make sense to buy a carbine made to run normal capacity mags that are illegal in CA.
Couldn't agree with you more...my Hi Point 995TS is a joy to shoot! A little labor intensive to clean, but for the price & reliability you just can't go wrong.
I am possibly looking at getting a Southern Gun Co 9mm "lever release" rifle. Seeing as I couldn't own any of these in the UK due to them being semi auto, with the SGC rifle it locks the bolt back after every round fired and you manually release it each time with a lever where the safety would be on an AR with your thumb. That is about as close as I can get to any of these sadly. I would love that MP5...
just move to Arizona here in the United States. Our state legislature just voted in a new bill which states that Arizona will never follow any of the new federal regulations regarding firearms due to them being unconstitutional. You can own a tank legally here, so getting you into a hk mp5 shouldn't be too hard. Just expensive, lol.
Hi Point 995TS beat out the KelTec in every test I've seen and the Mini 30 does too in my opinion. Seems strange you claim these are the best while telling about all the troubles you experienced with them. The only problem with the Hi Point is the 10 round mag and that is due too the govt. regulations at the time. It's one of the most durable and has the best warranty in the industry. I suspect you fellas are biased toward black gun clones !
@Tyler Hier: Being a Hi-Point 995TS owner who shoots mostly cheap crap like Federal Aluminum 9mm, I can attest my 995TS has never had a single FTF, FTE or had ANY problem in over 1800 rounds. Since I live in SoCal with their stupid 10 round mag restrictions, it just doesn't make sense to buy a carbine made to run normal capacity mags that are illegal in CA.
Regor Haroscoe The mag situation sucks for hi-points. Yeah, there's a goofy 20 rd option that boomerangs out the bottom as long as a glock 33, but it's not the same as double stacks.
BEST AR15 / 9mm RIFLE: Stay with all COLT factory original parts when building a AR15 / 9mm rifle. The Hahn Precision magazine well top loading adapter with MetalForm 32 round magazines and a high quality hydraulic recoil buffer makes your AR9mm rifle shoot ultra smooth !
Rak-9 from the factory has a threaded barrel. Has a interchange plate for glock, berreta, and Luger mags with adapters. Has the dove tail side mount so you can buy a picatinny adapter. Already has polymer foregrips and has thousands of parts that will fit because it’s the same size as a ak-47 but is labeled a carbine because of the 9mm rounds it shoots. I think the best part of it I have noticed is the simplicity of the mechanism which almost 100% mirrors the original design. I purchased it for 699 total after transfer fees from GB. It’s not on this list because it’s a professional through and through
I have a stupid question about the carbines that take glock mags: do they have to look that stupid? I mean I'm guessing the mag has to sit in that weird angle because that's how it sits in the pistol relative to the barrel but must the magwell be that thick so the whole thing looks even uglier?
That's why I much prefer carbines built from the ground up for pistol calibers like the Kriss Vector, Scorpion, MP5, etc. The AR conversions are just hideous.

Spent all my money on a Krebs AKM. More versatile. No tax stamps. Went and bought a Hi Point 9mm carbine for shit kicking when I'm out fishing, camping, or checking my lines. Sling it around, bang it up in the truck and it just does what I need it to do. With the exception of the Kel Tec Sub 2000 this is definitely a rich boys game. Love the videos though. I remember when you made videos about slicking up M91/30's lol.
Casey Ellis - I'd gladly drop $ 200 or $ 300 fixin' up a Marlin Camp 9 Carbine found at a Pawn Shop, then spending the $ 300 towards any of these other Carbines, just my opinion though?? I have a couple Camp 9's, and a few Factory mags, and my lil'girls absolutely love it!😀
I can’t get over how they look with the Glock mag in the AR platform which is why I have the endo mags for my AR9’s and I love the way it works and looks MUCH BETTER now.
Chad's 9mmAR = $400 of extortion money + $1600 of specially made gun parts AND modifications = Too much damn money to sink into a gun for just plinking. If you are going to use the gun for just plinking, save your money for expensive modifications and buy more ammo. If the gun can't hit the target right out the box, then return the damn thing because there is something defective with it. Oh and glock mags are NOT the end all/be all to pistol mags. NOT everything has to accommodate them.
+Returning Shadow It's Chad's money, he can spend them on whatever he wants. Also, the reason everything is being made to accommodate Glock mags is because they've got a good solid system, they're pretty cheap and readily available. Of course there are better magazines out there, but that's what standardizing means. There sure as hell are better bullet designs than 5.56 and 9mm out there.
+DevaKitty It's Chad's money...blah blah blah blah. Not my point. The point is they mentioned the idea of the M-5P being expensive from the start and yet they are willing to sink $1,000+ into a gun for modifications to get it to the reliability of the MP5 system. And the glock mags are NOT any better than the other mag systems that I mentioned originally. They ALL function the same way. The ONLY reason so many newer gun systems take glock mags is because of the glockaholics always bitching that the guns are useless without glock mags. Why do you think the Kel-Tec sub2000 is manufactured for THREE different mag designs? Glock, Beretta and Smith. Because NOT everyone thinks the glock mags are the ONLY mags.
Returning Shadow If they have no functional difference, then why not just stick to one and go from there? I mean same goes for many 5.56 rifles, people don't really wanna buy them if they don't take AR mags. It's just because it's convenient to people. It's elitism either way.
I don’t know MP5 specifics, but on the full size hk clones use of different locking pieces allows one to tune the back pressure with a can for soft, reliable cycling.
The ONLY problem I have with the Kel Tec sub 2000 is that the buffer knocks my muffs up off my ear. It appears that some of the others would do the same thing. I've taken to using ear plugs alone when shooting this.
Still no mention of the Beretta CX4 Storm, despite it being a proven design on the market for over 12 years now, which run flawlessly right out of the box. Those JRC's are unreliable crap and the Kel Tec's, while I love mine, isn't half as reliable or accurate as my Beretta.
It's nice to see that since this video was made, CZ fixed the EVO and aftermarket parts are readily available (and relatively cheap). $17 for the 32 round hybrid mags? YES! Now if only the EVO itself was as easy to find in black as it is in FDE...
I have a very early Lone Wolf lower with a YHM upper in 9mm. Have had it for years now, absolute blast to shoot and had been reliable as a hammer with whatever I feed it. Thing is a blast with a drum magazine.
So I saw one carbine, and a bunch of custom SBR builds with silencers, which are illegal without going through multistep, expensive, tax stamp, paperwork hell to actually get. Thanks for the useless video. Cool guns you guys have I guess.

I've been looking at sbrs and pccs for hours today alone. None of those have oragami to do except maybe unfolding or pulling or a stock or brace
Great review but really when you spend 2k on gun upgrades how good is the gun really ? You should break down the best carbine guns that you don't think are over priced and a gun you don't feel you need to add 2k worth of upgrades for it to a good gun
Feel like I just earned my masters in gunology 🎓
how come you guys did not do anything with the High Point it is ugly as Sin but it is worth its weight in gold especially for the budget-minded
as badly as i want a hi point carbine.... i dont like the low capacity mags, the minute they come out with 25 - 30 mags that will be my next choice.
I love watching these guys. I learn so much about firearms, and figure out what questions to ask dealers when I'm looking for a gun
Couldn't agree with you more...my Hi Point 995TS is a joy to shoot! A little labor intensive to clean, but for the price & reliability you just can't go wrong.
No Hi-Point? GASP
I think it's almost blasphemy at this point to not include the 995 in a "top 9mm carbines" video.
It's because they can't markup the price by several hundred dollars like they do with every other gun in their store
Voidac Single stack mags.
I like the voidvc
A lot of chatter about guns no one will ever have. No Hi-Point? No Beretta?
Mcarbo sells a decked out sub2k for like $800.
+cokedaz .
+cokedaz Go for it. Those are a neat little piece of engineering; I'm surprised they haven't taken off in 'ban' states here.
just move to Arizona here in the United States. Our state legislature just voted in a new bill which states that Arizona will never follow any of the new federal regulations regarding firearms due to them being unconstitutional. You can own a tank legally here, so getting you into a hk mp5 shouldn't be too hard. Just expensive, lol.
just ordered a sub2000 (im really surprised i was able to find one) im excited to get it out there and have some fun.
I have the Sig MPX, however I love what you Brother's had on that table, Blessings to you both.
My favorite thing that chad says is "that's serious firepower yknow"
jr carbine is dam heavy i would not repurchase.... nope!
+Regor Haroscoe, There is a Hi-Point endorsed 20-round magazine made by Red Ball Sports. They run flawlessly. Problem solved.
Hi-Point and KelTec both suck.
BEST AR15 / 9mm RIFLE:
Stay with all COLT factory original parts when building a AR15 / 9mm rifle.
It’s not on this list because it’s a professional through and through
Come on guys. The Beretta Storm Carbine should of been in there.
i liked my hi-point for plinking(no sarcasm)
A friend brought a 9mm hi point to the range, I was surprised how accurate it was out at 100 yds
+sogerc1 Lone Wolf just redesigned their lower with a smaller magwell.

Can you give a link? I can't seem find it.

They revealed it at Shot Show and don't have it updated on their website for some reason but the back order date is when they start shipping the new design.
Love that Chad is repping the INGO!
Needs a Camp 9 on this list
I agree & the Berretta cx4
+Casey Ellis Somebody needs to clone the camp 9
Weren't those the coolest little carbines and fairly good priced. Now try to get one on gunbroker , like finding Bigfoot or a new Kel-tec design.
Casey Ellis - I'd gladly drop $ 200 or $ 300 fixin' up a Marlin Camp 9 Carbine found at a Pawn Shop, then spending the $ 300 towards any of these other Carbines, just my opinion though?? I have a couple Camp 9's, and a few Factory mags, and my lil'girls absolutely love it!😀
Casey Ellis I wish they still made those.
So...
Since when is
S.B.R.
a carbine?
Sbr is a legal term, carbine is what it is
"Perfect for a backpack" lmao
Renick Cleveland 😂
I mean it’s true
I can’t get over how they look with the Glock mag in the AR platform which is why I have the endo mags for my AR9’s and I love the way it works and looks MUCH BETTER now.
So glad to see the JRC to get some love. I love mine to death.
NOT everything has to accommodate them.
glock mags are just easy to get almost anywhere
+lucky43113 So are Beretta mags and Smith mags and Sig mags. It's only because glockaholics only want glock mags for other guns.
One of the Top 5 gun is the bane of my existence. Sounds like any oxymoron if anything.
they have LOTS of oxyMORONS it seems!
Is it just me that would buy this if it had wood furniture ? Tired of black guns..
I've taken to using ear plugs alone when shooting this.
the ones you went over are way out of my price rante
Still no mention of the Beretta CX4 Storm, despite it being a proven design on the market for over 12 years now, which run flawlessly right out of the box. Those JRC's are unreliable crap and the Kel Tec's, while I love mine, isn't half as reliable or accurate as my Beretta.
+100nitrog do you have to wear them in?
+100nitrog thanks for clearing that up! I've been looking at pistol carbines for a while.
Beretta CX4
This is my first time watching your channel, and I love it! Subscribed
It's nice to see that since this video was made, CZ fixed the EVO and aftermarket parts are readily available (and relatively cheap). $17 for the 32 round hybrid mags? YES! Now if only the EVO itself was as easy to find in black as it is in FDE...
Wtf you didn't even show the best 9mm carbine thos are sbr's the best 9mm carbine is the criss vector followed by the ruger pc9 im so tired of ar's
13:50 LMFAO DA OOZI NEIN MILLIMEEDAH!!!
Do a California/Chicago legal top 5 it's hard for us or here
and CT.....been wanting one of these for a while, can only get pre-bans now.....
Move
I have a very early Lone Wolf lower with a YHM upper in 9mm. Have had it for years now, absolute blast to shoot and had been reliable as a hammer with whatever I feed it. Thing is a blast with a drum magazine.
I have that Surefire mini setup on my Sig MPX K with the Arisaka mount it is perfect. I used the shortest switch they make so no snags.
I'm starting a new trend...the 9mm M1 Garand...who's with me? Anybody? Bueller? Chad's 9mm AR is sick!
+jake86chev Chiappa makes one and from what I've seen it's totally unreliable. I agree about Chads AR though.
i cringe everytime he pronounces carbine as "Carbean"
Tomato Tomato?
Carbean Carbean
He needs a branded t-shirt "Dang hum in Carbeans"
Grew up in the so-called “gun culture,” always heard ‘car-bean’. Maybe it’s a southern dialect thing?
Beretta CX4 Storm?
Really ought to update this video... There's so much more in the 9mm PCC market today! Especially with pistol braces and such!
Would love to see an update to this video. Curious where the Stribog and Extar stack up.
Beretta CX4 Storm?
They should rename their channel the ar glock supressor fan boys.
+NotAFrackinHippy Or to plastic mushy heavy trigger non customizeable space guns suck.
meh, opinions are like noses, we all have one and the all smell
dam dam dam, eric talks so dam much he might as well do this youtube show by himself. i mean dam let the other guy talk.
carbean.... why god. Does anybody on this earth say carBINE
Aleksei 😂
Aleksei got to love those carBEANS hahaha haha
I do, Carbean sounds awful
Love that rack of classic military rifles behind them. !
yeah whats that ar next to the g3 or psg1 do ya know???
ALWAYS good info like I've come to expect! thank you brohers!
So I saw one carbine, and a bunch of custom SBR builds with silencers, which are illegal without going through multistep, expensive, tax stamp, paperwork hell to actually get. Thanks for the useless video. Cool guns you guys have I guess.
I have a gen2 it fits just fine in my swiss tech back pack. I can leave the pistol grip on. A lot of room for a few extra things too.
for home defense, is a red dot sight not really a good idea, better to use regular iron sights?
Gentlemen, truly an epic video!
Thank you Fellas.
Keep on keeping on Brothers.
Godspeed.
Mpx completely outclasses the scorpion, and the ar15 style build and shared components make super easy funiture and internal swaps
