Most BMW E90/E92 (3 Series) owners love their cars for how they drive and what they can do on the road and now we can personalize our cars by coding. You can unlock hidden features that are not available in the country you live in or not available on the model of car you have. Coding a BMW is as simple as downloading the BimmerCode app and buying a simple adapter (VEEPEAK OBD2). The rest is just selecting the options you want and coding the module with the update. My favorite coding feature on this age BMW is disabled the yellow lights in the headlights and giving the car a more modern look. I also, really like getting rid of the unnecessary warnings and enabling convenient closing with the key. This way we can close the windows, sun roof and close the mirrors by just holding the lock button the remote.

Great video, I love these kinds of videos where you discover something you wouldn't even think about. Great editing as well!
Thanks!
Appreciate it! Thank you for watching!
Hey i love your reviews. I have a f10 535i m sport. You always have great tips and are very informative. I live in suburbs of chicago too, i live in naperville.
Good video man, just wondering, i can see that ur eyebrow (the white stipe) above the angles eyes is not lit up, is there any coding i can do too turn it off😊

MaximilianMus😭😭
This is great! Just got BimmerCode and the adapter. Looking forward to having a look!!
4:36 he went into Kermit mode for a second.
Lmao I sure did! It was cold and my voice cracked.
Thanks for watching
The seat belt is the main problem, it gets soft on the area where the butler hooks up...I wonder if some starch will work 🤔
Good video! Wondering that does this work with mine 320d E91 2006?
I came from Reddit saw your post. *Subscribed*
Welcome and thanks for watching!
can i unplug the adapter or does it have to stay plugged in at all times
Just during the coding session. You are free to take it elsewhere and use it to code another car after. You are basically changing the software settings on your car.
@@SimpleCarGuy would a THOR/MHD OBD adapter work for coding on the bimmercode app?
@@conordaly1845yes I honestly recommend Thor because it works with almost all the bmw apps and software applications
@@conordaly1845mhd adapter will work idk about thor though
How did you remove the temperature warning? That really has me annoyed
Thnx man i think ill try Bimmercode!
is there a way to reset this stuff from inside the car because i bought a 06 325i and the alarm is muted
Hello, can you use this scanner to register new battery to car?
yes
How to set a colant temperature alert in bimmerlink?
can I code everything with Veepeak or I need to buy premium?
How could I get rid of that annoying sos light that says the sos is not working
Hi there, I have been following you for the past three months since Purchasing a Z4e89. Just wanted to check with you and ask if you plan to make a video on flaws for these cars. It has been my experience with the car to have found a few flaws or should I say; unexpected faulty materials and or parts around the first 10 year mark on the car. with only 69K on the clock, I have all shocks failed, oil pan leakage, trunk lid struts, and taillights cracking on the bottom part (clear area). The rest has been a lot of elbow grease and love to make the car look halfway decent. maybe someone thinking about acquiring an e89 may find your video of great help. Thanks!
Can we activate aux with bimmercode?
I am with 2006 E60 530d. I've read in the amazon page of the veepeak adapter, that it won't work with models before 2008. What adapter would you recommend me?
The bubbles in the back window tint are not doing me any good 😂
Removed it shortly after that video, was from previous owner
Omg this is awesome video thanks for sharing
Good video!
👍🏽
Thank you, does this work with a 2009 328i?
Yes, it does
2011 328xdrive ?
Would the auto mirror fold work on E90 328i? Right now I've to manually press the button inside the car.
Yes
My key fob won't close windows. Why ? Or is it broke ?
Will this scanner work on a bmw 328in2009
Yes, it will
Worth the cost of app dyi. Local euro repair shop charging $250 for coding mods.
What country in Europe are you from? 😅 My local bmw dealer charge 70 euro for coding
@@henrikjohnsen4403but there's mods that they don't tho, for example turning off always the start and stop feature
thank u so much for alllll those informations
You're so welcome!
I cannot disable my led corner lights idk why its just not working
Same.
I think it a safety feature, in case your headlight goes out the light let other drivers know it's a car not a motorcycle at night !
Do you know if this will work on an X5? I have a 08 X5 and I'm wondering if all these options will work. Thanks
Maybe not all of them, but many will. Which ones are you looking for more specifically?
@@SimpleCarGuy I just want to change the signal lights and have the windows roll up with the key fob if possible. Maybe a few little things but not much.
Coding out the seatbelt reminders fucking crazy
So?? How do you code brighter halos?
Angel Eyes light brightness can be changed here: “Footwell Module” FRM2_E89 or “Footwell Module” FRM3_E89 control unit
These codes won’t affect the frm module?
Has been fine for me since I’ve done it. No codes.
Will this work for the e93?
Yes.
will this work for an e90 325i from 2005?
@yannik68 I'd like to know the same, Did you figure it out?
@@Equalz420 Not Yet 😅
@yannik68 I ordered the obd scanner, and I'm gonna test it out when it comes in. I'll update you in November. 😉
@@Equalz420 Thank you, im very excited 😊
@@yannik68 the obd scanner doesn't work for 2005.
I've checked on bimmercode website after finding out the hard way :p
I now placed an order for the correct obd scanner called the "Vgate vLinker MC+ OBD2".
That one should work, and I can start coding on friday.
This " DOES NOT " work on e92 335i 2007 ... i just bought veepeack adaptor and its not working fml UGHHH :((((((((
It definitely should. In fact, I have coded same generation (preLCI) car before.
What hasn’t worked for you?
@SimpleCarGuy Connection error
It says
"The OBD adapter is not suitable for use with this car. For further information please visit our website."
Don't y'all do not buy the veepeak if you have 2007 335i as it won't work !
I'll send update to what odb2 might work on my car !
@@ziatmget obdlink cx or mx+. They are recommended from the company
You have KLINE, NOT DCAN. Thats why its not working
Did you find a solution? Running into the same problem here.
Both bmws I’ve had close my windows with remote
Love your videos. I followed your advice and bought the BimmerCode and Adapter for my E89 Z4. I haven't been able to get the remote to open/close the removable hardtop. Do you know if the BimmerCode can do this? Thanks.
Hi Chris! Thanks for watching!
Yes, BimmerCode can do this, I have programmed it on my car using it. What options have you changed to try and make it work? I can check my current options so you can compare.
@@SimpleCarGuy I have all of the Convenient Opening/Closing options Active. When I press and hold the remote to open or close, nothing happens.
Whats the difference between bimmerlink and bimmercode?
BimmerCode focuses on coding and customization, while BimmerLink focuses on monitoring and diagnostics. Both apps can be used independently or in conjunction with one another, depending on the user's needs and preferences. Both need buying the license separately.
what version bimmercode? The new version does not seat belt extender
I’m sending you a bottle of tire dressing I got u
Awesome, thanks!
Bro my battery died due to this hahaha make sure you charging your battery when doing this
Great point, battery should be in good condition on at least on tender when making any changes or coding modules.
Can you answer the comment man
❤
Its shit… does not connect
why it is soooo tall. It stand's like milles of ground. Go buy x series
Whattt? It’s on the lower sports suspension. Regular 3 series sits higher than this
Will this work on a 2008 335i twin turbo convertible?
Yes
