Spring 2024 is almost here! With the new season headed our way, I thought it was time to get my home clean and decorated for Spring! In today’s video, I share some spring decorating ideas and some items I found on sale! I hope this video gives you lots of cleaning motivation and some new Spring decor ideas! Even though you don't have a ton of spring decor, I think you got some good mileage out of what you do have. I really like the layered welcome mats and the new plant in your front room. Whether artificial or real, I like to have a touch of greenery in every room. It just seems to breathe some life into my spaces. As always, a bang up job! I hope your weekend is whatever you wish it to be.

I don’t really have a goal of what I want my weekend to be, but I’m sure a few smiles, a bit of relaxation and a small sense of accomplishment will do the trick! Hi Shelby! I am loving the fern, and the stand is growing on me! I have always loved ferns, but I have a hard time keeping them pruned and looking healthy! Nice to know this one will always look beautiful, even with my black thumb! 🤣

Hi DeDe, isn’t it amazing how a pop of color changes things? Love the flowers in front of the fireplace! So pretty! I think adding greenery to any space makes it feel lighter and fresher. I have a few real plants that my husband takes care of bc of my black thumb😂😂😂 and most of the rest of the rooms in my house have some kind of artificial greenery. I would have more real plants but some spaces would not be good for a live plant bc of lack of sun and my black thumb. I enjoy seeing you decorate for the seasons! It gives me great ideas and motivation! The items you got on clearance are super cute. Can’t even tell the bunny has a broken foot! LOL. Love the carrots! Happy Spring!

Funny that you mentioned a black thumb…. I think all of my fingers are black! My husband is wonderful with plants and has an amazing garden, yet I can’t seem to keep even a cactus alive without his help! ! Oh, well, we all have our talents and our weaknesses!

Good morning DeDe. I love spring!! I don’t put out a lot but a few pops of color does the trick. I change my stems in vases and add some lemons to my kitchen! I love the fern. For me that’s the best kind. (The ones you can’t kill)😝. I don’t decorate Easter either. This year the boys are going to their other grandma, my mom is in Italy and my brother is going to his in-laws. So it’s us and my husband sister and family for Easter. Everything looks wonderful as usual in your home. The boys will love it. I’ve been working on Easter baskets this week for all the kiddos. (My boys and my brothers kids). Thank you for letting us into your home once again. Oh and I wanted to share my wonderful news with you. Baby #3 is coming in October!!!❤️. We are so blessed! See you next week😘
Adding lemons, what a great idea! So fresh,bright and cheery! 🍋 maybe I will have to try that next year since I have lemon decor in the guest room downstairs, maybe I could bring some of those items upstairs!

We both definitely have amazing little fellas in our lives, but maybe we’ll get a princess as well. The thing is, I have found so much joy in the two boys, I don’t think I would be sad if we were blessed with another one. 🤗 Congratulations friend, I am so excited for you! You have more fun times ahead! 🍼👶

What about getting a white tray for your kitchen counter and use the brown tray for fall and winter season. Or use a light blue tray. The color will work well with kitchen counter top. You could also use that sea foam green color with the white plates and a white,cream, or sea foam color place mat like the one in your living room.

I love the Fern ! .. Wow ! ..., its gorgeous. ( I am in the Same Club .. I am not good with House plants.That's why I like Faux ones, .... I can grow flowers outdoors.No problem.But House plants indoors?..its usually n o t a " good idea " lol ! ) I need one of those Ferns , or two !

have had more Spring Decor last year (?) ...but you gave a lot of things to Donation. so maybe it went bye bye, lol. But no matter, because what you used is setting the Tone for Spring ! ... that Doormat , so cute ! ( People are surprised that I absolutely love those little Peeps candies... I buy those by like ten at a time during Spring and Easter, lol. ) I thougjt " oh my, so cute ! I like that you layered those,... doesn't matter about the shape... ; I always ' layer ' my front Door Mat , it gives ' substance " to the Mat and also ' grounds the space ' as well.
I'm sorry I had to chuckle when you said it took you so long to do that front Entryway piece.....Oh my.... lol. That is " shades of me..." Because I will do something for my Decor and then I say ... " I don't know if I like that I don't know.. " Then I'll change it 4 or 5 times..... I completely understand! Lol. It looks nice, you always get it to where " it works ' ,looks so lovely.
And the Coffee area.. so cute !
I was thinking... In regard to the tray on your peninsula there in your kitchen.... .I just think it maybe needs A lighter colour tray , something circular to break up all the square and the rectangles. (?) And then you could put a vase of Faux flowers. Or some branches of flowering Greenery, ..and a couple of Spring candles or a pair of " Nuetral colour " Rabbits. ( not too tall ) ...or something like that, with the vase. ..but I was thinking on some possibilities to Change it up a little bit. 😊

@MyBigTidyUp I mowed the 5 acres yesterday. Tomorrow we will start cutting more trees down. Next week I will start cleaning out the creek that runs thru the front of our property.
I also decorate for every holiday more for myself than my kids. When my boys were little, the only holidays I decorated for were Halloween and Christmas. Wasn't until they were preteens/teens that I started doing all the holidays.

@@MyBigTidyUp I only remember because that is when we practically gutted our entire living area and uphraded everything. Paint, floors, furniture, etc.
DeeDee, What brand/model of vacuum do you use and would you recommend it?
Hello Mary!! I have a corded vacuum, which is a shark, that I love! I also have a cordless rechargeable vacuum that is a Dyson! I love them both and use them both!
@@MyBigTidyUp Which Dyson is it??? I want something cordless that I can easily take up and down my stairs. I know Dyson's are pricey, so I want to get recommendations.
What does your cleaning routing look like
Hi Debbie! 👋🏼 I try to do a little something every day so that it doesn’t get away from me. Every night before I go to bed my kitchen is wiped down and my dishes are done. I don’t always have a perfectly clean home, but I do make sure that my home is picked up and I don’t have things laying around. I do a load of laundry every day or every every other day. Having laundry build up really bothers me, so I pretty much do it every day. I’m pretty good about keeping my floors swept up but to be honest, I don’t mop, as often as I should! 🤷🏻♀️ thank you so much for watching and I appreciate your question!
