- Hey everyone! I am starting to get ready for all the spring decorating at my house. The first stop, Goodwill! I want to see what home décor I can find thrifting before shopping at any of the retail stores. There was a lot to choose from on the shelves of Goodwill and I feel like I walked away with some beautiful, unique, and well-priced home décor items. Several things were even vintage. That is always a plus in my opinion. If you love a good bargain, the thrill of the hunt or are on a tight budget thrifting your home décor is a great way to have a beautifully decorated home. Thrifting is also the perfect opportunity to add unique and special touches to your home, creating a curated look that is original and one of a kind. So, come shopping with me as I look for the best thrifted items to decorate my home this spring. After shopping I will be sharing what I bought with a styled thrift haul, giving you great ideas for decorating your own home with affordable thrift finds.

Love the little mirror, it looks so good. I think the color of the wooden bowl is more of a rustic kitchen look color.

I am so glad you picked up that blue glass bowl with the birds, love that! The handmade wooden bowl was so pretty and I don't know if I would do anything to that, but I too don't like wood that is too orange so maybe you should. I don't ever see flowers as pretty as those in our Goodwill, those were beautiful in that crystal vase. I love videos where people thrift and immediately show how they used it in their home, thanks for that.
Hi Lesa You showed up on my feed when I turned on utube. I am so envious of your GW prices. We have two close by. One has a lot of priced items at 24.99! I love every thing u picked up. Your style is so much like mine…mix of different things but still cohesive . I would not strip the little bowl ( love it ) can have different woods for interest. We are fortunate to have lots of estate sales in our area and because there are so many the prices are low. We just went to a 1930s home with four floors. I can not believe you got that two tone basket at such a good price. I was almost to the end and I thought oh please tell me she got that precious blue bird dish. I decorate for every season too. I got a beautiful Spring wreath and got all the Easter eggs in the house so ai can add those since they are on picks. I have been thrifting for years. A long time ago my husband and I decided we would rather go to an estate sale on half price Saturdays rather than eat out at restaurants that usually are more expensive than our finds and definitely not as good as home made food.
No,dont strip it. Different colored woods pop. I noticed when I put darker wood decor with my dark stained furniture pieces they disappear.

You came accross so many nice items. I like the way you styled them also. I really like the wooden bowl. It looks really nice where you placed it. There is most certainly a contrast. Sometimes for us we don't always see the true color but I also don't like anything too orangey. If you would prefer to change it then you should do it for you. What a great deal on the blue bird dish and the flowers and all the rest. 😊 I wish you a nice week ahead 🤗

Good afternoon Lesa! I love the wooden bowl at the beginning of this video. Wow that’s a lot of clocks. Our Goodwill in Guthrie is very expensive! I like to travel to another town and get the good finds so much cheaper! I am not sure on tripping and restraining if it’s antique. I really like the bird dish. That chair turned out so pretty. Good evening Lesa! My Good Will Store is an hour away and I find the prices to be quite high. I usually shop at other small thrift stores around. I think I need to start going to state sales like you do. Love all this trips with you to different places and than seeing you transform them into beautiful pieces. Have an amazing week!

I would leave the bowl with a handle and the wood candle holder as is. I love the darker wood also, but I do mix some lighter wood and it looks fine.

Everything you picked up was so nice, and you have a great knack for styling the items. I will say the wood bowl w/handle, wood candlestick, and wood mirror you up cycled were my favorite pieces. In case you didn’t notice….I love wood items😂🥰.
How did you wash the flowers?
Hi there! Great question. I spray my thrifted flowers with Dawn Power Wash and then rinse them in warm water. They all seem to hold up really well with this method and come out clean. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a wonderful day. XO

Personally I would strip and re-stain or do a bleaching technique of some sort but I really, really dislike every variety of oarnge toned wood.😂
No strip it looks good the way it is, raw wood would look good if you do strip it though.

Why are Goodwill prices so much lower outside of Texas?
Hi there! After doing some online research and digging around, Goodwill has different pricing policies per location so even within the same city or region the price range can vary widely. Basically, no company standard and up to whomever is pricing on that given day. 🤯Thanks for watching! XO
