- Hi friends!
I’m back on the road again! I am so excited! I love decluttering and organizing! I really love going to new spaces to declutter and organize! This project was quite a challenge, but the results were worth it!! This was a complete closet clean out and closet declutter! I had to be creative and I use containers that the homeowner had and tried to be creative with my home storage ideas! If you are needing to declutter and organize, this video should give you plenty of motivation! Thanks for traveling with me!

Hello Carolyn! Yes ma’am, I definitely go on the road! I wish I could go more often, but it is hard to coordinate my schedule and the homeowners, and many of the places I go to don’t want their homes shared. I can understand that though. It’s nice to know you appreciate my cheater glasses! 🤓 I sure do appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment! I hope you have a lovely Mother’s Day as well!

I m p r e s s i v e . ...and so many variables in the Equation !...From Pantry Items , to Hats to Holiday Decor ....and Look at the Transformation... 👏🏻👏🏻✨️....!
The Moment I saw the Wreaths. Etc .. my thought was " hang those up on the wall...." And you got that same thought. spot on...! I don't have as many Hats, but I do have about 4 or 5...I keep them in Hat Boxes to preserve them ,but I'm wierd like that. Lol. ( Some of y'all know I'm wierd , lol.. And I'm ok with that ! 😁😂)
That is a lot .. a l.o t of items leaving , wow... so I'm sure the Homeowner feels like she's taken back part of areas in her Life that were not functional for her... I smiled, and my Heart smiled...when I heard your statement about " looking at from not just our desire to Organize things in a certain way ...but rather, what works for the Homeowner.." .. 😊🙂😌 ... That is a huge thing, to know that although ( as you stated ) we are inclined to put " all the kitchen things together " . it may not work for a particular person. I have certain things, various places, in my home... because I know that having it set up in a different way would be taxing on my Blonde brain ....😅🤣😂.
Great job on everything, Dede ....I must say , with the amount of de- clutter and all the Organization.... surely you know - and feel - that what you do brings so much to the lives of others.

@texasstardust6010 hello again, friend! Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I love reading what you have to say you are so insightful! I did not know that were a hat person! I learned something new every day! Between the Declutter, watching the Kentucky Derby last weekend and hearing of your hat ownership, I’m feeling I might need to get myself a hat of some type! I do have a glitter Kansas City Royals ball, cap and a sparkly Fourth of July ball cap, but other than that, I can’t say I have anything other than just stocking caps for winter. I really did enjoy looking at all of her beautiful hats. Looking back now I wish I had zoomed in and featured them a bit more., especially the fascinator hats at the bottom of the shelf unit!
It was a bit of a challenge to get so many items organized in a cohesive manner, but the homeowner was thrilled and that makes my heart happy! I always love to go on the road, but it is always a challenge because everybody’s needs are different! I sure do appreciate your feedback and thank you so much for supporting me!

I think you ought to try on a few Hats... you look good in Hats... not everyone does , so that's something you might consider, my friend! Are you telling me you don't have a Derby Hat ,of some kind??!! Lol... I used to have one. ..but it got lost in the move from " there to here " ...so maybe one day I'll replace it. Lol.

Wonderful job! You have a very good point, esthetically pleasing and function can be 2 different things. Sometimes we gwt too caught up in Pintrest perfect. I've found, in my 938 sq ft home, that good function is very important. My friends and family enjoy coming to my home. Partially, because i am minimal and my home is calm, but also because they can make themselves at home and can find things easily, due to functionality.

Hi DeDe great job 👏, I could be doing a with someone like you to help declutter and organise my spare room. It’s going to be my craft space / bedroom as I am bed-bound most of the time my hubby looks after me the house and works so he has no time to fix up my craft space and declutter. It really depresses me sleeping in such a mess but I can’t sleep in my hubby’s bed with him because he snores and I am very restless with pain 😔 ,keep up the great work huni your a wee star 👍😉😊💛🌼
Oh thank you so much! Don’t let it depress you, maybe you can do just small little projects when you feel up to it. I think sometimes we look at a huge mess and it feels so overwhelming. Maybe when you are up, you can just commit to five minutes of straightening or tidying up one little part of the room. Maybe you can have a little basket in there when you’re up if you see something you wanna get rid of you just pitch it in that basket. That way you don’t feel like you have to do everything at one time. Decluttering is definitely a process. Such a random selection of items to organise!!!! You did a brilliant job job as usual ❤ what did we do before dates on stored foods? If it smelt ok we ate it and still hear to tell the tale. In the UK there is a discussion to only date foods that are definitely dangerous to eat when bad ( chicken, pork and fresh stuff) to try and reduce so much food waste.
I definitely take a little bit of personal liberty when it comes to expiration dates. if it is a canned good and I see no dents or bulging. I think it is fine. There were many of these food items that were expired by 10 years or more. Since the dates were so overdue, the homeowner decided to eliminate them.
What an impressive declutter! When I saw the wreaths, my first thought was to hang them up on the wall. Great minds... I really love what you did with the hats. Brilliant! So simple and effective. I am so glad that you are available to help people directly with your hard work and ingenuity. I was wondering awhile ago if people sent you pictures of their problem areas if you'd be able to give them advice just by looking at them. I know it's not the same as being there and doing the work yourself and with the homeowner but I think it might be a nice way to share your wisdom and insights. I was really happy with how it turned out, but more importantly, the homeowner was thrilled! Yes, our great minds do think alike! I was happy to get the wreaths on the wall and I tried to put the thicker ones above the containers, and the thinner items on the opposite wall so she would be less likely to knock them over entering the closet. I have received a few photos in the past asking my opinion I try my best to give them a different take. Sometimes we get so blinded to our own items, that’s for sure. Even if I hear a different idea that may not work for me, sometimes it leads me to a new idea that will work. to me, all feedback is usually good! Hi DeDe, what a fantastic declutter and organize! It looks amazing. I love how you are always so thoughtful and aware of the homeowners needs. Organization is definitely not a one size fits all situation. Hanging the oversized items was genius! I may try that hack myself! What better way to see what you have than to display it? Great idea and such an easy way to store wreaths and other items that you don’t want mashed! Hat tower was genius too! They will prolly get more wear bc she can see them! Love it! You are so talented, my friend!
