I love how it's so popular to hate on Seinfeld now. Comedy has epochs that ebb and flow, that evolve over time and seem absolutely bizarre to people in the future. If one tries watching some old shows like The Carol Burnett Show, The Three Stooges, etc., they'll understand. Seinfeld (the show) may seem cliché to younger people now, but it was revolutionary at its time, creating an entire genre of TV. One should always show respect to past comedians and artists, even if they don't understand it. These legends paved the way for the comedy we enjoy today. And remember, all of the shows you think are cutting edge now, the ones taking risks and breaking barriers-well, they will all be cliché, irrelevant, and misunderstood in the future, as well. So have some perspective. Have some respect and instead of following the crowd, maybe try to understand what makes them funny to people. Who knows? You might become a Monty Python fan. @@Michael-rk9iw My god - that was the entire point of what made Seinfeld a massive hit: sitcoms before then were filled with a bunch of cliched, perfect, or "model family" type setups, often containing heartfelt or "special" melodramatic episodes out of nowhere for ratings. People were so tired of seeing that kind of perfection, or cliche, and lack of reality, that Seinfeld was a massive breath of fresh air at the time. There was also a kind of honesty to it, in that most people have done at least some petty things in their lives, because even if they don't get to the level of the characters on the show - most people are imperfect, even if they won't admit it out loud (or more importantly, to themselves). A lot of the plots on Seinfeld could (or literally did) happen in real life, so it was also believable, vs. the idealized or sanitized elements of other TV at the time. Also, you're acting like them getting what they deserved for being such petty, vain, or selfish people was some kind of justice that was dished out external to the show, when _the show itself made that the entire plot of the finale,_ so basically was pointing that fact out in red, flashing letters.

It’s 2024 and now we all know why this man had such a successful career without making a single joke
Why would that be
All I hear is Barry from B movie
Iconic movie.
Is he really funny? His “Best of” don’t make me even smile.
Yeah but he's probably still funnier than you
@@hagayudamar832 Yeah but you're funnier than him
@@hbo1230 that reply brought me closer to laughing than the entire video did
whats with all these jokes you know ?
Honestly I get what makes people like him and hes a rly great in his Performance but his jokes are rly rly boring to me its all like "ha that was funny" not like "rly full on laughing half dead on the floor" kinda funny to me
It's very different viewing a clip, to being there in person. If you were in the audience, you would be laughing along with them.
I agree a friend recommended me him but damn I’m getting sleepy lol
This isn't the best of Jerry.

Really not rly.
@@Simply_Nyxx just did. Still not funny.
Please will someone help me understand how this man is funny. Kramar and George were the only funny ones on his show.
He says things that most people are already thinking but with a much better delivery than those same people would be able to do. Its basically everyone's existential crisis on a stage
i think that the lines, jokes or moves that he makes are like those you would see in a movie, like they are extremely false, you get me?
He’s not funny. The general public is just simple minded
this made me feel young
The McDonald's cow thing was funny.
He was funnier in the show for some reason I don’t like the stand up as much
I would rather take Jerry’s observation comedy over “hahaha, I say a lot of cuss words and talk about sex”.
Silence is funnier than this dude.
The Gay Seinfeld
It's baffling how a complete hack can be this successful
One thing we know for sure, though: he's WAY more successful that either you or me. The people have spoken, I guess. The fact that Americans think he's hilarious, has made him a legit billionaire. Saying he's a hack, is like saying the Beatles, Taylor Swift, and Warren Buffet are hacks. You can say it, but then again...come on, man. Right? In the USA, we have Capitalism. That means we value things with what? Capital. Dollars. Which makes the Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Jerry Seinfeld the Kings of Show Business. You can always argue taste, so maybe he's not your taste. But you really can't argue with Taylor Swift's concert ticket sales, or Jerry's success in comedy. You can't argue dollars and cents -- that's like arguing that you wouldn't trade bank accounts with Jerry...which both you and I would, in a heartbeat!
@@phillipbarlow9387 welp, at least MJ was talented
@@phillipbarlow9387
Marketability, image, and budget dictate success more so than actual talent and skill in various fields. Just like with movies and games, sometimes it’s consensus that others are better but the amount of support is so great for others that ultimately it leads to more success despite weaker critical and consumer acclaim. I’ve seen artist or movies that sell the most get terrible audience and critic scores while ones that aren’t nearly as successful have much better scores with a large sample size. Context is key in these scenarios.
@@phillipbarlow9387 We had Capitalism til a bunch of snowflakes aged 30 and younger fell in love with Bernie Sanders and now we got Biden as President. Capitalism hanging on by a thread unfortunately.
@@lucianSom Maybe if he wrote his own music. MJ was born to give dance lessons not be an entertainer.
It would be easier to explain the rules of cricket to a deafblind person than to understand how anything Jerry has every said is funny
Seinfeld was the best comedian , RIP buddy.
@lav火山 right? I fkn panicked for a second. This is why ya need to fact check
@Señor Guapo u
@Señor Guapo Ease up Señor crybaby
He actually good but I love the show been watching for years and I am still watch it
Why does everyone protect this guy like saying he's not funny is an affront to the Holy Emperor? Comedians act like he's a god when he's brought up but never otherwise. Seems like they're terrified of him and I think he made it that way. He was rich growing up; he's FILTHY rich now. It's not a stretch to think him and his team manipulated this situation (it's 100% reality in music I imagine it is in comedy)
People in the comment section saying J.Seinfeld isn't funny clearly don't realize how hard it is to create clean humour without the swearing words, not everyone is into the fuck fucking fuck shit fuck type of rant :)
so this probably made the 80'-90' lobotomized boomers cry laugh, pretty average by today standards
Congrats on finding 6 minutes of material to fill a ‘best of’ video. Not sure if this actually is the best of, but from what I’ve seen, it’s up there. Think the best thing he ever did was meeting Larry David 😃.
Not even mildly amusing
And this is his best stuff?
meh. just as i suspected. he's not very funny for a comedian. 🤷🏻♀️
This man is no address no passport rich lol he don’t have to make you laugh! :)
He is like Micheal Scott in the first season of the office... Not sure what all the fuss is about this guy, I still need to laugh at one of his jokes.
This is his best? ok, humor is very personal, but he doesn't even made me smile once. Guess he is not for me.
Meeeh... I mean this is more like reverse heckling, if nothing else I think a lot less about Jerry now, if he thinks that his experience makes him an expert on what others find funny, then he needs a serious attitude adjustment
Bye Jerry!
He should get credit for being so successful and not being funny... THAT is hilarious... his comedy... not so much.
The show was funny but this is not my thing
Wheres the comedy?
Hes one of the unfunniest comedians ever and on top of that hes a narcissist. How could someone believe that you cant be funny unless your a comedian. Realistically he should have never gone past doing kids parties.
