Is anyone else shocked by how much unreleased music this woman has?! She literally has more music than some record labels who are in charge of multiple artists.
You haven't searched for Prince's unreleased stuff then 😉
Alex Κallianos No shade, but I truly haven’t. I’m just always surprised, even as a huge MC fan at how much of her music I STILL have not heard. But I guess when someone’s passion in life is to create music, it’s easy to forget some of the material made along the way.
@@MC1Diva no shade taken or meant, I just meant the guy had a vault full of albums, full of demos, full of videos, concerts etc. I'm sure Mariah has a lot as well, I believe however Prince had the most unreleased material. It must be both amazing and heartbreaking to have all this material and to just let it sit there
I think this happens to most artists linked to major labels. Usually, they record a bunch of songs, and then the record label decides which ones will make the final album--or even to cancel a whole album.
Just as a curiosity, Mariah said in that Larry King interview that she recorded some 20 songs for Charmbracelet. I also remember Celine Dion saying that she had almost 30 songs recorded for her "A New Day" album, but only 17 made it to the final album. Britney Spears has unending leftovers from each studio album. More recently, Taylor Swift announced that the rerelease of Fearless will include songs that her label cut out at the time. Luckily for fans, a small part of this pearls leak on the internet.
RadioCJG I have no doubt all musicians have unreleased material, but imagine how much has accumulated in the 30 years and 15+ albums that MC has made. Not to mention, she went through a period of her career where she practically re-wrote her songs just to create a “remix” version. Who knows how many of those have been kept in the vault. It wouldn’t surprise me if she has other albums like the one mentioned in this video, but have never mentioned to the public.
I reallyyy would like to have an Interlude, I love all Mariah’s Interludes ✨✨✨✨
Yes!!! Me too! Her interludes are 🔥 of creativity
We need a good interlude, I miss the days when albums had those!
Reach for the Sky sounds like it would be so iconic 😭😭
I'm glad we got Charmbracelet as it was in the end. A live album instead of Rainbow would have been awesome though, and then that way she could have put Heartbreaker on Glitter the year later.
Quickly editing this comment to say I still like Rainbow, I just wish she didn't have to create a rushed album.
3:00 FACTS. LITERALLY. I'm sorry but some interviewers are really bad and boring at their job. If I was an interviewer, would get all the tea for us lambs whilst respecting Mimi's privacy and legacy.
Totally agree. I think the problem is that most interviewers do not know fully her work. And many of them are interested only in her personal life. The best interview I have seen until now is that one for Genius. The host made very specific questions about her songs, and we found out some very interesting things. My dream is having a chance to interview Mariah and only ask her about her songs - starting with the leaked Weakness of the Body.
I didn't hear her say at that time she was doing a separate album or Extended Play. I remember her saying for Charmbracelet she was working with a lot of live musicians instead of just sampled/synth instruments and said it was sort of "New Age" - she said specifically in an interview. The final though was not really a lot of live instruments.
For all Mariah Carey's channel on YT, please be kind to mention/share this video to all of Mariah's official social medias.
She is forgetful guys, sometimes she need us as her Reminder.
Very interesting video. I wonder if this album will see the light of the day sometime. Also, I love the sade song on the background 😍
Always bringing the best of our so loved queen 👸🦋😊 Thanks for sharing 🥀 Happy Sunday my faithful Lamb 🦋🥀🎶☕💙
I never heard a rumour of a live EP at the time of Charmbracelet. We did hear about the live instrumentation though and some of the track titles and the comments from the people she worked with. An intro or clip was leaked at one point of Reach For The Sky but the quality was really bad. I doubt the songs were ever finished or if she was ever happy with the bits they got done otherwise she would’ve released them in some form during #MC30
Do you Know Where We Can Find that clip or snippet? Or at least do you remember how It sounded?
Oh yes, the intro of Long Ago.
Love that song 💓💕💞
I never heard from Mariah about Live album in 2002.
Wish she had discussed all of these in her memoir :(
Very interesting!
Even more possibilities here to include on a second Rarities set! 🤩
Theae unreleased songs should have been included on her 2020 Rarities compilation album. I wished it should be 😭
Are you all getting Smooth Operator by Sade? Go the 80s reference! 👍🏽👍🏽
Imagine MC covering "No Ordinary Love".
@@DJQTUBE Or The Sweetest Taboo. I think her voice would suit Sade's style of music very well.
she released her demo tracks and the firecracker there must be chance that Mariah could release this Live Album ✨🦋
It was all scrapped because, again, Tommy and JLo copied her by having JLo release a song called "Alive."
Second☺️🙌
Hi can I ask what was the intro music of this vid? I loved it🥺🥺
