Found this one this morning, searching for The Commandant's Own performances on RUclips. Saved to a playlist, so that I can enjoy them whenever I need a boost! These musicians are awesome!!!
Maybe that is troop a? its definitely different, the tenors dont play during it and idk i love it. you know what is coming and it just builds and then drops back and builds again before b kicks in and they come across the field in full formation
I'm so glad they didn't scrap this show, it was phenomenal to watch the pre-performance rehearsals at MCASY.
I stopped by at Iwo to watch at least four times because I liked the music so much.

That cadence sounds dangerous. Awesome.
Best show marines DBC have ever put on!
Nice sound.
The contras playing the role of bass trombone in Birdland's bridge section is pretty cool.
Great as usual, although I could do without the electronics.
Love it!!!

What’s the piece at 7:00 called?
First Circle, by Pat Metheney.
Where is Eric?
Drumset, in the pit.
@@LJ-wo1wf That goes to show you how deep the talent is in the group if
they can survive without a great player like Eric on tenors.
@@DennisJohnsonDrummer Obviously, we are biased!!! 😘🥰
Crowd is weak. Especially during the closer. Man I'm worried about our country. Smh. God Bless America!!!
I wouldn’t read to much into it. There wasn’t the usual tourist horde brought by thirty buses like in pre-pandemic seasons.
@@LJ-wo1wf gotcha. That closer is something else. Well written.
@@burdrchitect1680 One of Col Crawford's classics.
During a military ceremony? This isn't DCI or a band contest.
@@davidwarner3326 It is absolutely framed as a performance for the public's enjoyment on a summer evening.
