Shatranj Ki Khiladi is like a rare and exquisite wine that needs time to appreciate and consume ..... it's not Pepsi or Coke that you just open and drink it ..... its not a 'masala' film that u see and vomit out the moment u leave the movie theatre .... it's like something cooked by mother's hand whose taste stays with u forever ..... wonderful wonderful movie, and great performance by Amjad khan, saeed jaffrey and sanjeev kumar ....

@@Shadow-bx8ri I'm American, but let me tell you that Satyajit Ray is a universal artist, even though he is deeply and authentically Bengali. I watched the Apu trilogy many times and saw many of his movies, and I'll watch him still over and over again. No one, and I mean NO ONE in cheap Bollywood is by far his equal, it's an insult to even think of that.
