Crisis is Alexisonfire's third studio album, and the follow-up to Watch Out!. The album was released on August 22, 2006. The album debuted at #1 on the Canadian Album Charts, selling over 20,000 copies in its first week. Crisis was certified Platinum in Canada in May 2007. It was also the first Alexisonfire album to feature a title track and first album featuring drummer Jordan Hastings.
---
Hailing from St. Catharines, Alexisonfire rose up out of the Southern Ontario underground in late 2001, to become one of the most successful indie bands in Canada. The band’s success also reached far beyond Canada’s borders. AOF released four hugely successful studio albums, Alexisonfire (2002), Watch Out (2004), Crisis (2006), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals (2009). Crisis debuted at #1 on the Top 200 Soundscan chart (Canada), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals debuted at #2, and charted at #9 on the US Billboard Independent Album chart. Watch Out helped earn the band New Group of the Year at the 2004 JUNO Awards. Their first 3 albums achieved Platinum certification in Canada while Old Crows / Young Cardinals reached Gold certification. The band also topped charts and graced several notable music magazine covers internationally (Kerrang, Blunt, Big Cheese, Canadian Musician, Exclaim! ). AOF’s sold-out 10th Year Anniversary Farewell tour in December 2012 touched down on four continents in 24 days, illustrating how meaningful the band still is to their legion of fans around the world.

What the fuck I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS AND I FINALLY FOUND IT
I used to listen to it EVERYDAY on my Samsung pocket when i was a little kid but I eventually forgot it's name, but this song alone made me LOVE metal and is one of the most important songs for me. I don't know where I would've been without this song and this band.
the lore 🤌🤌🤌 - I still drive around listening to this, Saosin, A Static Lullaby, Underoath, BTBAM, and more! Rock on!
I had a song that I was looking for for years too. Thickfreakness by black keys. I finally found it after years of searching.
Good now go listen 🎧 Dallas solo’s
Best feeling when you find a song you've been searching for. Better than...... lol
@@marleyofficialmedia Better than 6
I'm telling you when you get older these songs aren't just "fun" to listen to anymore.
They will creep up and hit right in the heart.
I really agree with this
Amen brother.
Yes sir!!! As i sit in the sauna sweating all the toxins from my youth 😂
Im 44 they are still fun to listen to
@@zacatkinson3926 Never let that spirit fade away 🤘🏻🔥
When you're happy you listen to the music, when you're not happy you understand the message behind the lyrics.
Still hits even after 16 years
Alexisonfire is the best !!! 🤘 but you have to listen to “Seen/Unseen” by SLT ……….right away!!! Y’all missing out 🎸🤘🔥
Yep love it forever
Bc the city the city is haunted
Remember my 16 years😢
One of the best choruses in any rock song.
Shit is pro level.
Dallas Green is a mage. How should one define quality? CONSISTENT BRILLIANCE ACROSS DIVERSE PLATFORMS
This is from my childhood, high school era. My buddies used to play with these dudes. Well play shows with them... In southern ontario Canada
Concars chill u damn sweat
I agree. This chorus and the chorus in coheeds in keeping secrets of silent earth 3 are the two best in my opinion. Dallas and claudio are the only 2 who bring me goosebumps with their vocals
2021 BR
Ah, yes, it's like yet another free therapy session in comments, seeing all those people coming to listen to this after all those years. Nothing quite anything like 2005-7 emo/rock/punk music out there, huh?
Masterpiece. This song will never get old.
this is so good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🐺
Almost 2023. Still one of the best songs.
Alexisonfire is the best ! 🤘 but you have to listen to “Seen/Unseen” by SLT ……….right away!!! Y’all missing out 🎸🤘🔥
Haha, facts.
2023 and it slaps even harder

That's funny, cause I just hear poop. Turns out I don't know any songs by "Alexisonfire".
I've been listening to city and colour for a long time now and can't believe it took me so long to give aof a chance, holy s***!!! Absolutely amazing band
One of the greatest Canadian band.
Mark Hamburg Billy Talent tho
+Mark Hamburg with Silverstein and Billy Talent ♥
dont forget protest the hero !!
was in the same class as Dallas' sister, my sister was in Dallas' class in elementary school. 15 yrs later my mom worked with Dallas's dad just before they got big and signed the record deal that made em huge. They were pretty popular on the local circuit before they got big. Small world.
What about nickelback...?
This is in my opinion one of the absolute best metalcore songs ever made. It really showcases a masterfull blend of both clean and harsh vocals, a beautiful and haunting melody, and on point drumming that always keeping the pace with excellence in filling the voids.
Just seen Dallas live Wednesday night and he mixed this into a City and Colour song and it made my whole life ❤
Ladies and gentlemen = born and raised, thank me later👏
Jealous!!!!❤❤❤❤
I'm 33 now and appreciate this song so much more.
even if you don't like this kind of music ... you have to admit how well executed and done everything is here
I listen to just rap and rNb but holy fuck... this is literally a masterpiece... even if you don’t like / appreciate this type of this music you 100% can feel the passion that went into making this song.
Alexisonfire is the best !!! 🤘 but you have to listen to “Seen/Unseen” by SLT ……….right away!!! Y’all missing out 🎸🤘

No doubt one the best shows I’ve been to. Got to see them in 2007 and they were so damn good live.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Crisis was the soundtrack to my knee surgery back in 07. Dead of winter, snow all over the ground, doing physical therapy, battling the pain and depression from being broken down. These screams kept me going and helped get me back up and running.
Almost 40 and this song is still amazing as the day as it was released. Damn.
this is so good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘
@@beezybeez4207stfu spamming this on every comment, goof
Hands down one of the best live acts I’ve seen in a long time, seeing them twice in a year is even better.
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “The Wave” by SLT 🤘
I’ve been wanting to see aof since I was 11 and I’m 28 now 😂 I’ll make it happen sooner or later.
Saw them in 2004. They were awesome. Saw them in 2014. Still awesome.
Gosh this is such a banger
Almost 2024. Forever one of the best songs!
MASTERPIECE!👀🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙌✌🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Saw them play this live, the energy in the crowd was insane.
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “The Wave” by SLT 🤘
I js saw them yesterday I came there to see avenged seven fold but they canceled it cuz of the weather
yea i just seen them today on monday in peg to start the concert off, the whole crowd was insane
Where at ? I saw them at warped tour 2010 saint Pete FL
One of the best metal songs from the 2000s. Demonically groovy drum line, elite screamo and clean vocals, and an amazing hook to boot.
what's crazy is the balance of the vocals situated it in alt rock...they would play this on the most mainstream rock stations in Toronto. Just genius song writing and sound.
@@thebusdriversupremetrue, it sounds like post-hardcore but also sounds like a lot of alt rock that was popular then like Kings of Leon or Interpol. It's kinda wild
I was like 14 when I first listened to this band, now I'm 35 and I didn't understand how good it was until now, holy shit, this is amazing.
this is so good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🐺
I was 15 when my friends dad showed me the band.. loved them from the first song I heard, now Im 30 and thankful to my friends father for showing me this band lol
This town has its claws buried in my neck
This town, it takes lives, without mercy, without hate
The streets are in distress
The sun suffocates behind darkened skies
The grass is growing on top of my feet
I'm sinking, won't be long, before I'm too deep to run
The line up seems endless
Underneath the salvation signs
We are the dead ones, we are the lost cause
We are the bend before the break, our steps seal our fate
Because this city, this city is haunted
By ghosts (ghosts) from broken homes (homes)
Because this city, this city is haunted
And there's no hope (hope) left for these souls (souls)
Every step I take I leave a small piece
Of myself behind, soon there will be nothing left
The cracks in the pavement
Match the cracks in their weathered skin
The sky's a brick wall, the ground's a juggernaut
Each day they get a bit closer, between them, I am caught
I stare in amazement
I can't believe this is where I live
Every breath I take I feel my lungs seal
This breeze feels more like shards of glass I'm more scars than skin
Because this city, this city is haunted
By ghosts (ghosts) from broken homes (homes)
Because this city, this city is haunted
And there's no hope (hope) left for these souls (souls)
Our steps seal fate
Our steps seal fate
This is our celebration
Come join the lost souls
This is our celebration
Come join the lost souls
This city, this city is haunted
Oh, walk with us
Oh, down, walk with us
This city, this city is haunted
By ghosts (ghosts) from broken homes (homes)
Because this city, this city is haunted
And there's no hope (hope) left for these souls (souls)
I remember watching Fuse when fuse was all about rock and nothing but rock for the most part that was around 15 years ago give or take when this video came out and I loved it. I am 32 now.
I’ll be 30 in May too big hoss I’m on that same shit 😅
I love this song … deep message… I’m here somewhere in the world dining alone…..
I was 11 when this song came out. Here I sit today, a 28 year old still jamming this like I did when MTV played it back in the day.
This song is a total banger live.
After all these years, I still get a burst of energy from this song. Chills. Ffffuuuccckkkkk!!
I love you is Amazing my son was 13 when I took him to your first concert at downtown Detroit, it was amazing. We’re at the Detroit Fox. I’ve seen you also at the Fillmore. You were his first concert you were the best.
1995 to 2010 was the best era in music.
This song will never know just how good it is
sometimes alexisonfire is all a person needs... thank you guys for helping calm my angry thoughts & stormy emotions.
Dallas green is better on his own!
@@stardustgirl2904 Eh, I personally prefer this band, but his solo stuff 'is' phenomenal!
This. Always keep coming back to alexisonfire, and finding it calming
I think Dallas Green is straight up wonderful, but you can't have instruments like this along with one man, live. Plus the input from the band members makes these songs what they are.
This song is straight up 2023 word for word, the anthem for the vibe we all feel; things are fucked.
Almost 2022. Still one of the best songs.
2022 now. still checks out
It's 2022 and still one of the best songs
Best bands* and fyi, they have a new record coming. But you didn't hear it from me
Just dug this track up from the time capsule. Still a certified banger
It’s 2022 and I have a ticket to see them live soon. This is an amazing song still
How is this hidden gem not more popular with views
such a great song
This song randomly came up while listening to some Karnivool. After a blast of nostalgia, I couldn't help but realize just how much Dallas sounds like Ian Kenny in this song lol. 2024 and still an absolute banger.
This video is burned into my brain as a young impressionable teen. Now, it brings back so many memories and the joy I had discovering this band.
2024 still one of the most iconic songs of the 2000s
To this very day..
This song is kept in my heart.
I went to see these guys in a gothic church in St John New brunswick back in early 2000 s ( the exact year escapes me) absolutely amazing show i sold my ps2 so i could afford tickets lol.
Thank you Headbanger’s Ball for introducing me to this amazing band back in the day! Dallas Green has such an amazing voice and it fits perfectly in a band as heavy as Alexisonfire is. Wish more music like this was still made!
Great video. Great song.
This song hits harder when you've struggled during your childhood ❤️

It hit me hard re watching this video because I picture these guys still looking like this , and then I watch an interview with how older they got and it makes me realize I got older and I’m just like where did my life go?
I remember when this came out and I saw this video for the first time on Fuse. God time has flown...

Classic song and for anyone from the Niagara area this hits harder knowing these guys came from St. Catharines
Saw these guys live in the early 2000's at the legion in Collingwood, Ontario. Must of been like 20 people there and no one really knew who they were. That year I went to warped tour in Barrie, Ontario and they played. They handed out so many promotional cd's that at the end of the day the ground was covered in black and purple alexisonfire cd's. Soon after they blew up. I'll never forget that show at the legion though.

I paid twice to see their "last show." Now they're coming back. I'm more stoked than disappointed.
Also paid to see "City and Colour." Money well spent. EVERY TIME.
I'd gladly pay again. But now I'm in Quesnel, without a licence.... So hopefully I can get the sorted with this new tour.... I wanna show my 12 yr old daughter what a great live show is about... Spent the last 15 years in Edmonton and saw Cancer Bats at the Ave...
