Nice future plans!. Little tip as we have the 2021 18RR BL, there is a hole in the plywood above the water heater that is easily accessible if you simply lift the mattress to turn off the valves for winterizing. Easy peasy. Enjoy! It's a great little hauler.
OOohhhhh the black label! awesome. Thats awesome to know about the hole above the water heater! Thanks for the tip! We are super excited to take it out soon. Please subscribe to the channel for more camping videos and for the Grey wolf upgrade tutorial videos! Cheers
Awesome! Which one did you get? Same one? Yea I was thrilled how well those fit in and they are so much better then the flimsy regular one, the tops are super solid too. Make sure and subscribe so you can get tutorials on the other upgrades! Cheers
There is a hole in board under mattress. Thats where you reach in and turn the valves for water heater. I hinged the little door also tho. Put in brace works nice to get stuff in and out. I access my invertor stuff there
Thank you. Unfortunatly for us we have a UTV and they are wider. Plus even through the addition of a piece of wood would be needed, that would not replace the weight without some support in the wheel well. What we did was make some "Z" brackets up under the wheel coming off the frame then added a piece of 3/4" treated. That should dispalce the additional weight. Plus the only weight would be from the one side of the machine which is not the entire load.
I have two lithium batteries on my trailer and I mounted them under the bed up by the side of the hot water heater so I can store my trailer hitch and load bars up on the tongue where the batteries originally were
Hello We have the 2021 (even new sold as used) Please check as yours is 2022 but we are pretty sure in correct in saying that the wheel well is load bearing so that takes away 11" plus reduces the length of 68".
You can easily add a piece of plywood to the wheel well if you are concerned about driving your side by side over it. In my case, our four wheelers are only 4 feet wide so I wont need to go over the wheel well. How wide is what you are going to be hauling in yours? Make sure and subscribe to the channel for the solar upgrade tutorial video, digital thermostat, and other upgrades! Cheers
I would cut the plywood off and fasten is down on the far end and hindge and shock the large piece. Also I would put a curtain in front of the screen on the ramp so you can leave the ramp in the deck position at night for privacy.
I’m heavily looking into this years model of this but the black label edition. I’m wondering if my Kia telluride could tow it? Kia says it can tow 5,000 and the gross weight on the model is 4,999… pushing it I know lol but I won’t actually be hauling anything but ourselves and a big dog. Any thoughts? Love the video
Yea that’s pushing it for sure. I’d rather have some wiggle room personally but it’s totally your call. I’ve towed mine with my 03 Toyota sequoia, and it’s tow capacity is 6500 and it struggles going up canyons, granted we had two bikes, and a large kayak and all our other camping stuff. I’ll be towing it with my duramax from now on for sure 😂
Sir...I have a Honda 700 s×s.60"×114".Would it fit?Presently have a Jayco 236th.But it has cabinets one side sink the other. So the Honda won't fit. This one you have also is 4' shorter which means easier towing/sway. Nice.Let me know.
Hey man nice camper. We have an 27rr from 2021 brand new last yr. I would love to know how you would do the upgrade on the solar panel i done quite of few upgrades myself. Bit yet to do the solar upgrade i already but 1 renogy 100amp panel and a 30amp control. But woupd love to know alot more. From the side wire to how to remove te old wire. Put maybe placing an inverter. Shunts. Etc etc. Im handy-dandy. 😆. I just need directions and hand on if you k ow what i mean. We love our. Im in florida. May we see each other around. Happy camping. Lol
Hey! Thanks for watching! Make sure and subscribe to the channel to see that video when it comes out! I’m sure it will be in the next month or two. My plan is to do two lithium ion batteries, and a 200watt panel. Stay tuned!!
It doesn’t feel flimsy when you are laying on the bed because there are plenty of supports. But I’m definitely going to be putting that storage access piece on a hinge and putting a flush mount handle ln it. Make sure and subscribe for more helpful camping/overloading videos coming up! Cheers
@@waynesargent5299 yes! I forgot to mention this in the video but I’m very interested in that! Have you done it yourself? I read about someone who tried it and it worked a hand full of times and then the generator wasnt able to do it after that…. So I’m not sure.
Oh it will EASILY fit. The floor area is 15’ long by 5.5’ Let me know if you have any other questions! I’m always happy to help. Make sure and subscribe for the upgrades If you get one! Cheers
I was told it only runs on electric and the solar panel. If it ran on gas too there would be an exhaust vent in the back and the only one back there is for the furnace.

Floor space in total is 15'x5.5' So yes it will totally fit! with 6'' to spare.

That ply wood under the bed looks weak.. does it feel flimsy?

Have you thought of installing a soft start on the air con so you can run it with a 2500 watt generator

we have a can-am atv, 2up, it's just shy of 8 feet long and just shy of 4 feet wide, will it fit in the 18rr ?? we are thinking of getting 1

@@diyhvacguy thank-you for getting back to me,, and yes,, if we get 1, i'll let you know
Where did tyou find the rear screen on you 18RR ? Can find one small enough
It came with it.. you should be able to get it from the dealer
Nice camper! Can a small SUV pull it safely?
Dry weight is 4000 lbs so you could definitely pull it with an suv. Probably not a small suv like a crv, but we pulled it with my Toyota Sequoia :)
some reviewers say the fridge is gas or electric ??
