Was actually fishing the underspin today at the Taylorsville lake spillway this afternoon, no bites but it performed well and I was pretty satisfied. Definitely gonna stay tied on to at least one of my rods always
I use underspins a lot... Some lakes they work well and some lakes the do not seem to work at all... When the water gets really dirty I normally throw a keitech with more motion which seems to work great....
@@southerncastin2552 oh dang... that sounds kinda weird, I guess that's how it used to be with pro anglers- but like tactical bassin keeps it real... I would just like some other youtuber of that caliber to get second opinions~
Tactical Bassin can “keep it real” and review all companies because they have 400K subscribers and a more active fan base. They make more money on RUclips. I don’t. So I have to work with companies (sponsors) to make a living doing what I love
I have the SLX 150 with 10lb flouro specifically for light jerkbaits and finesse. It works great- performance is awesome and casts far for a small profile reel.
If I’m having a rough day fishing I’ll throw on a Beetle Spin. Like the real thing. It just catches fish. But yeah the underspin definitely catches them too.
Need your help Tyler. I’m in Northern Virginia. Water temps are probably 35-40 and I fish ponds with stained water to chocolate milk. Creeping a finesse swim bait on a flashy swimmer is one of my go-to options. I feel like a drop shot or Ned Rig is not the best choice with so little visibility. I’ve had very little success over the years, with a lipless crank-bait. What do you recommend?? Thx
Yeahhh that’s a tough combo haha. I would just stop fishing if it was 40° muddy water 😂 drive around to find some clear water and throw a deep diving jerkbait
I have tried to throw around shakey heads for a while now but haven’t seen to catch a thing, is there a special trick to it or should I just leave it for a little bit?
What is so funny about this is that I caught my PB bass on a beetle spin😂
The official weight was 4.57 lbs
Haha nice
Your videos help alot, thanks.
I’m glad!
Another great video Tyler🤙Under spin is used quite a bit by anglers here in so cal for spotted bay bass.
I’ve heard that!! Those bay bass SLAM lures
@@TylersReelFishing they do!! They fight like a smallmouth bass. Until you get a visual, it’s hard to judge the size of the bass sometimes
I’ve always wanted to try underspins, this helps a ton. Thanks Tyler!!
Awesome! Glad it helped

Hey a beetlespin is a dam good Lure
Good informative content as always. May have to go get me a few of these.
Not much of a bass fisherman I'm more into trout but still LOVE!! watching you.
Awesome thanks!
Caught so many with an underspin. Only used it when the water is churned up and the visibility is not good after the rain on a sunny day.
Hmm interesting. It’s mainly supposed to be used in finesse clear water situations
Man I have caught so many fish on a underspin.
Great tips thank you

That’s probably a good move
15 lbs test is overkill I never use anything lower than 100 lbs test
I found a really small under spin on a grin in my neighborhood lake
I've used road runners and there pretty good
Can you do some Shimano reel reviews? Would love ur take on em- especially the SLX series!
He’s sponsored by Lews reels i don’t think he’s going to review other companies because it could lose him his sponsor

Thanks for the info. Know now not to get them. Most of the lakes here around PGH aren't that clear. Thanks again Tyler.
I’ve caught lots of fish on them
Don’t sleep on Beetle spins! For 99cents they can’t be beat.
For sure haha
could you do a video on how to catch bass that cruise the bank? Great video by the way.
I almost bought one today
Are you gonna be at Harris creek tomorrow
Yessir! Leading worship though again on the 20th
I think I’ll be there on the 20
good stuff! gigem!
Gig Em!!
Man I have caught a lot of fish on a beetlespin
