    Thank you so much for the easy to follow tutorial. I love this stitch. I am on my second hat now. My first one I left a 4" opening at the top, trimmed with a SC , perfect for my daughter's ponytail or bun.

  • @dianegaspard9932
    @dianegaspard9932 2 года назад

    Should you measurement of the 3-inch cuff be the same as your head measurement or should it be smaller so that it stretches to fit? I crocheted enough to fit my head and it was 2 inches longer than your longest suggested measurement.

    • @StephanieZed

      It should be smaller. You want it to stretch so it has a snug fit.

      You can use any yarn. The hat is adjustable at the beginning depending on how long you make the brim to fit around your head.

    Hi! I've gotten to my second decrease round, but I'm very confused. When we make our bean stitches, we always put them in those little "v"s that you indicated. However, with the crochet 2 bean stitches together, it's throwing me off on how to make them line up. Is it possible for you to maybe demonstrate another round or 2 after the first decrease row please? Thanks!

    • @StephanieZed
      @StephanieZed  4 года назад +1

      When you decrease, you still put the hook in the “v” of the stitch. It just looks a bit different. Each decrease row is the same. I hope you can get it. 🙂

    • @StephanieZed
      @StephanieZed  3 года назад

      Yes, put one Sc at the end of each row. When you join them they become opposite (valleys and bumps). If you need to put a few extra stitches in, you can as well, for a bigger head or lots of hair.

    Hi Stephanie, when I fold the brim in half (to go from 8 cm to 4 cm), it starts to curve, like a letter C. I've started over and over again but I get the same result each time. It drives me crazy :-) Can you tell me what I do wrong??

    • @StephanieZed
      @StephanieZed  3 года назад

      Make sure your stitches are nice and tight. Or every 4th stitch, you could put 2 single crochet together. Let me know if that helps.
