last year (2019) I saw this pattern and really wanted to try it. the problem was, I didn't know how to crochet. so, I taught myself through RUclips and today, I have a successful crochet business all because of this video. now, I am very happy to say that in October 2020, I am able to make this hat. thank you fiber flux, you inspired me.

@@donnamayo8504 that's so great to hear! im actually 12 so im a bit young, but my older cousin loves selling things so she sells them for me. she uses the selling website called "depop" and it Is super easy to use! once someone orders something, you just ship it out. hope this helps! if you need anything else, just ask :)

I've recently started crocheting again, I've done a few hats from RUclips but this is the nicest. I used Aran wool, 4.5 hook, casted on 70 loops and it's a good fit. As for the crocheting into the back of the stitch, I found this a bit difficult for me, so I turned the work to the back side and just went into the front of the stitch instead then turned back onto the right side. Worked out really well. A bonus being able to use both sides of the hat, they're both very attractive. Thank you for taking the time to upload.

I've seen a lot of hat tutorials on youtube, but this is by far the best one I've found. Super easy, can be adjusted to different yarn and hook sizes, and best of all it looks amazing when it's finished. I have made two so far and I can't wait to experiment. Thank you!

I started to crochet about year ago and just finished this hat. Special thanks for clear instructions. This wasn’t even beginners tutorial but since you explained so well, I think that even those who have just started to exploring wide crochet world could do this hat. Finished hat is so beautiful that I’m considering to make one for myself too (first one is going as gift) even I’m not hat person. 😊
I did it! Now I can make hats for all my daughters and my sisters. We have big heads. Lol. This was a really fun pattern.

Love the hat. I saw where someone made this hat but made it super long in a green and put grinch eyes on the brim. It also had tassel on skinny tip of hat. So cute.

I completed this hat and a neck cowel as a present. Im fairly new (about 1 year). I had to use a 9mm didn't have an 8mm at the start. I also used some yarn with different colors. It came out beautifully!

Noob here, finishing up this hat! I made it first time, used one skein and it turned out too short. Bought more yarn and redoing the top part. Good instructions, even for someone who had never heard of front post/back post, and never touched yarn or hook for decades. Thank you!
I just finished making this hat. LOVE it! I used #3 weight Premier Bamboo Joy yarn. I held two strands together. I also made my hat 10 inches long, as I wanted the slouch to be very obvious. I am still deciding if I want to put a pompom on it or leave it as is.
Love this hat. Made two in short time. I did chain only 45, being 50 was too big. Great beginner project. Nice for Christmas gifting. Thank you again for the tutorial.
How many inches long was your chain ? Does it need to be long enough to the desired circumference or less? Thanks
Just finished my hat and love love love it!!! I have A LOT of hair and I can wear this hat over or stuff all my hair into it and it fits perfect either way! Will be trying with different bulks and colors. Great tutorial!👍🏾

Saved this pattern ages ago for something to do. Decided to use a odd ball of chunky wool I had decided to make it. Came out better than I thought really pleased with it. Since I am not that goid at crocheting, I fine fine with watching tutorials but not reading patterns

If you're new at crocheting and only have a 5mm or 6mm just add more chains and rows to get desired look

Christine, I used the size 8mm hook with the scarfie yarn. It is a bulky 5 yarn, so it works. I’ve made 4 so far. This is my go-to hat for this Christmas! 💙

Love this! Almost finished with mine! I used a multicolor yarn and you can see the seem up the hat and I don’t like that. I would recommend a solid color yarn. I think hers is gorgeous!
