- Red Rocks Amphitheater, Morrison, CO. I was so super excited (Happy Enchilada !!) about this collaboration. I expected Scott to sing on 'Spanish Pipedream', but not this one~ my favorite John Prine song!
Seeing Scott smile singing this song with the legend is the coolest thing. Long live John Prine music.
People complain about others taking videos at shows. Videos such as this are exactly why I love seeing people with their phones out at shows. It was a memory I will forever cherish!
Everyone wants to play and sing with John. Love seeing Scott Avett team up on this happy song. And watching John step aside and watch Scott take the second second verse. And a screaming audience. It's all there. How come there are not over a million watching this video is beyond me. An Avett and THE PRINE in one helping.
Can really see the admiration Scott has for him and seeing John smile back must have been such an amazing moment. I'm sure they played together before this but at Red Rocks! What a cool moment to see.
I was there. Opening/short set for J.P. Avetts were good...had never heard of them.
I love how happy Scott is to be singing with John Prine… he cant keep the smile off his face.

It appears they don't know each other that well. It's as though John Prine's reputation is well in before him. But when John realises how much Scott deeply loves his music, John starts to relax and the joy is revealed. I may be wrong. It's a nice ending

Not as good as his, of course, but hopefully with some of his wit. A good way to remember him.
