- THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV Season 2 starts Jan 17th, 2023!
SHINGO YABUKI, the first Season 2 DLC character to launch, will release along-side a massive character refinement patch. In addition to KIM, SYLVIE PAULA PAULA and NAJD were also announced to join as Season 2 DLC characters!

For those who don't remember, Ash saved Shingo's life in KoF XI when Iori lost his mind and attacked both him and Kyo. Then Ash appeared and fought Iori, stealing his gem. Technically saving Shingo.
But this year, it’s a non-canon season.

@@andresmiltongutierrezorteg2764 No, Iori went mad because of the Orochi blood, attacked both Shingo and Kyo. In the ending you can see Kyo on the floor, passed, while Shingo is still conscious. Then Ash appeared with the intention of gathering Iori's gem. You could interpret (and the creators did) that Ash saved Shingo's life from Orochi Iori. Ash mocked both 'cause that's his whole deal, his personality, his way of talking.
Shingo still has Kyo's original gloves that he got as a gift from Kyo in KOF '97!
Such a lovely throwback to his original appearance.
Shingo, like KOF XV's graphics, is still green.
He always had them, but to color limitations in the older games, they're not the right color.😶

Loved how Shingo is finally being able to spurt some tiny flames after years of training, clearly a nod to that urban legend that stated that Shingo would occasionally pop some flames in kof 97/98
He does, but those are actually Shingo lighting up matches.
@@RaggedyRed1 As someone else mentioned, it wouldn't make sense for him to be surprised by his own flame if he's the one holding a match, and the recent gaiden manga showed him manifesting blue flames so there's fresh precedence
But it doesn’t fit in the story.

You can really notice the attention to detail when playing the trailer in 4k. I'm guessing they'll charge £4.99 when he's available and I might just buy him given how much fun he seems to be from the trailer. We also got the in-game model for Kim which looks great (looking forward to seeing him do some crazy kick-heavy combos). I'm not bothered about Sylvie and its interesting they decided to bring Najd back (I thought she was a one and done). I'm as curious as anyone to know who the 5th and 6th characters will be and understand why SNK is waiting before they reveal who they are (don't want us to know all of the DLC characters just yet).
1.Kept his original voice actor
2.Kept most of his latest moveset from XI
3.Has a new rendition of his personal theme
This is without a doubt the best piece of DLC we're gonna get for season 2.

Already they are doing such a great job with bringing back so many classic characters from the past,like how all the protagonists since the beginning have come here,ever since SNK was a pioneer of the arcade genre. Hence it'll only be putting a cherry on top if all the previous iconic bosses from the franchise come back again , making this game even more superior to KOF 98 UM and KOF 2002 UM in fan service and nostalgic satisfaction.

A Fatal Fury/Garou MOTW/Southtown villains/boss team (Mr Big, Krauser, Kain R Heinlein,Freeman)

A Those From The Pasts team consisting of Mukai, Shion and Magaki.
A Team Big Bad,which wud consist of the main villains of each KOF saga i.e Orochi, Igniz and Saiki.
A Maximum Impact team consisting of Alba Meira, Soiree Meira and Luise Meyrink.

Tw tengo una curiosa anécdota: a mi mw encantaba wl.personaje Shingo wrn la época de laa maquinitas y cada que podía jugar un KOF. Cuando me empecé a gustarme el anime que hasta me fijo wne loa seiyus y a mi sorpresa que em actor de voz de DIO de Jojo ES EL MISMO DE SHINGO de loa KOF. @@helltioeverygames si pero como como es la favorita de los que jugaron la xiv era obvio que tenia que volver más para concluir su historia que lo dejaron abierta, mira si a ti no te gusta bien por ti pero no todos piensan igual que tú ya que aunque haya gente que odia alos personajes nuevos de la xiv hay otros que los ama y silvie es uno de ellos asi que era obligatorio regresarla si no mira las estadisticas de chicas favoritas de kof más especifico los del xiv y te daras cuenta que personajes nuevos ocupan los primeros lugares asi que nada de despreciar a silvie porque te caeran a palos y agradece que habrá más dlc aparte de los que vendrán esta season 2 y más por ser individuales que les sera facil hacer los personajes esta empresa incluso por el lado positivo es que al ser individuales serán más baratos de conseguir en las tiendas digitales osea adios a los precios altos que tenian los dlcs anteriores(excepto omega rugal por ser gratuito que snk nos regaló junto una actualización del juego mismo)asi que sean agradecidos con snk que nos hacen esos milagros de vez en cuando

Shingo looks really great, and I can see a sprinkle of his usual silliness in his lines and in some of his animations, so that's good to see! Kim also looks really really good, his model is so handsome! And.. SYLVIA! ❤️ I personally really loved this character after reading the KOFXIV manga, so I'm glad she's in this game too!

For the silhouettes, I want to say for some reason it's Adelheid with a redesign. Could be totally wrong on that and plus Rugal is already in though that's not to say he could have some more new stuff on him either to how he could play. And the last one, I can't help, but think this is Hinako and man I would totally be pumped to see her.
Really praying for Adelheid, Ash's saga representation is barebones and Adel is truly a fan favorite between them

Because of KOF XV, it got me back into playing the series again after taking a long break from moving onto other games. I've just downloaded KOF the orochi saga (94-98), 2000, 2002 unlimited match, and KOF XIV on my PS4 while the PSN 80% deals (limited time only) are good and cheap till this Thursday. It feels good to be back; and just in time to reunite with my boy Shingo too (takes me back to the KOF XI days on PS2). Anyone else?

@@Michelle-7 lo mismo. A mi antes que fuera clavado dw ver anime wn su idioma original (hace como 8 años) me encantaba el personaje...imagina mi sorpresa al enterarme luego quw wl swiyu de Shingo es wl.mismo de DIO de Jojo. Coincidencia o destino?

Ohhh man this trailer is so hype. Takehito Koyasu reprising Shingo's voice brings back the same spark and energy to his character that we all loved. Absolutely amazing. It's a shame Shingo loses his Ge Kake Hourin, was really looking forward to him sending the opponent flying while screaming "Makerarenaiindayo!" but replacing it with a no flame Orochinagi super is good in its own right, especially the EX version. The "Chikaaan!", the Kusanagi eclipse symbol when the move starts, my gosh words can't describe the feels. And getting Burning Shingo back, is just ohh mann, I'm so happy. I always wondered why Shingo never had Kyo's XIV Climax- No, Saisyu's super after getting his tutelage, but now I don't have to now that he finally has it haha. With his own comical touch to it too. Man SNK poured so much love into bringing Shingo back and we are truly grateful for it. They even brought back his Crits. And don't get me started on Still Greener, this arrangement is sooo good, I hope it actually plays in game when you play against Shingo.
Ok now onto the DLC characters, if they put THAT much effort into Shingo, can't wait to see what they do with Kim and how they bring back his iconic pants physics. Also very happy to see Najd back. Sylvie is pretty meh for me but if they brought anyone else back from XIV she'd make the most sense so no complaints there. As for the unrevealed dlc characters I think 2:02 is Duo Lon? But 2:07 is definitely Hinako, if the pose doesn't give it away the silhouette sure does.
I'm glad they are giving Hinako another shot, because she is a character where I really enjoy the sillyness of the design (pale little aristocratic girl doing sumo) but never really enjoyed playing as her that much. Recent KOFs have managed to make a few older characters quite a bit more accessible, so I hope Hinako will benefit from such tweaks as well as KOF 15's system.
