Goenitz is my all time favourite KOF boss. Unlike other FG bosses before him who were typically brutes, he's very polite and dignified. But beneath that veneer of priestly wisdom and beatific calmness is a ruthless murderer who kills gracefully with little effort. Goenitz paved the way for other somewhat calm, elegant and dignified bosses like Orochi, Kagami from Last Blade, Kain from Garou, Original Zero and Igniz. Goenitz is also the only KOF villain boss besides Orochi and Original Zero who's gracious and maintains his poise when he loses (except against the Fatal Fury team in 96 for whatever reason, check it out, it's a pretty funny deviation from all the other 96 team endings). So glad to see him return and remind us how terrifying he could be as a boss. The mood in the video completely changed when his introduction music from 96 played at 1:12, then segued into Trash Head. My one and only complaint is his revised Shin Ya Otome (especially the MAX version) feels less impactful now without the slams at the end. The original SDM version shows how vicious Goenitz gets when pushed to desperation and he loses his cool. This revised version feels like he's still being civil, even if the ending animation makes it a lot more similar to Iori's Ya Otome. And I also feel the loss of his Fuujin Ibuki super from SVC Chaos. Granted, the animation was just a recycled Shin Aoi Hana with two Yonokaze back-to-back, but the way he gestures with his fingers summoning the two tornados was pure class. So glad to see that animation reworked into a new finisher for his MAX Yamidoukoku. Welcome back Goenitz, you have been sorely missed.
Every resurrected characters was confirmed in the kof 14 manga since they got the ideas there. Orochi won't awake cuz he's seal is guarded by the sacred treasures team however Krizalid was shown as a silhouette with zero so there's a chance both can come back

Orochi's been gone for what feels like eons despite being what many people think is the pinnacle of KOF bosses and Krizalid is universally seen as the NESTS boss with the best story while also being the least broken.
I'm blown away by this (see what I did there?). But seriously, I got chills from watching Goenitz making such a great comeback! Since Rugal is pretty much the only character in the game with no interaction, hopefully Goenitz and him will have their own since they had some history together.
I feel like Goenitz would "politely" disrespect Rugal for not only taking his eye, but also mentioning that Rugal's body couldn't handle the immense Orochi power that Goenitz gave him.
Yeah, I love that KOF XV gave the Orochi Team their Hakkeshu costumes, so Goenitz getting a new costume befits his status as Orochi's first messenger and herald.
Goenitz looks really cool. It's nice to see that he retain his old moveset and add a few new tricks. Hearing "Koko desuka" triggered a few PTSD flashbacks, not gonna lie XD Really liked his new outfit, the big cape gives me the same vibe as the KOF EX2 final boss, which was possesed by Goenitz spirit.

SNK mandando muito bem trazendo os chefes como update gratuito. Eu espero que o próximo seja o Orochi e que cheguem nos chefes da saga NESTS, queria ver o Krizalid de volta.
KOF XV é canon, não é "dream match" igual igual o 98 ou 2002 por exemplo, que não são canon. Orochi não conseguiu reviver no final do XIV igual os outros personagens porque Kyo, Chizuru e Iori destruiram a essencia dele quando ele estava revivendo. Então com certeza Orochi não vai aparecer no XV. Krizalid pode ser que apareça, mas bem dificil. Eles só estão usando os classicos pelo fator nostalgia.

En gameplay si estaria bueno un bossmode de orochi ya que el de 97 es super facil. En lore, en el final de iori chizuru y kyo, estos sellan otra vez la tumba de orochi en kof 15.
Wow!!! That theme at the end of the trailer... Goenitz was how I met KOF, I remember seeing him in action in those days and nobody could beat him! I was just a kid and I didn't know what KOF was but I saw Terry in the game and I was even more intrigued because I played a lot of FF and FF2 on my SNES. Goenitz was always and will always be my favorite boss of KOF, his design is so cool and his way of attacking too. Thanks for bringing him back!!!🙏

@@Raliuga999 I have played KOF before. But SNK really nerfed the bosses in KOF XV, they don't get their health back when you lose a character. And in this game, the bosses have cheap moves, but their AI is not as strong as in the previous games.
Jesus..... the boss mode Goneitz is scary as fark. He can launch THREE tornadoes to hit you in a row, a teleport counter, and a (near) invincible super? Seems more harder than O. Rugal..... (BTW, going by the boss sequence.... O.Rugal [95], now Goneitz [96]... so, Orochi next?)

I have played KOF before. But SNK really nerfed the bosses in KOF XV, they don't get their health back when you lose a character.
And in this game, the bosses have cheap moves, but their AI is not as strong as in the previous games.
I kind of miss the blood on his attacks, but he looks impressive!!! As good as I remember him or even better

Jesus..... the boss mode Goneitz is scary as fark. He can launch THREE tornadoes to hit you in a row, a teleport counter, and a (near) invincible super? Seems more harder than O. Rugal.....
