    The stance is great. I think you made the right choice with those coil overs. And I really dig the color of your Corolla. Cheers man

      Thank you! I have been trying to decide on coil overs since I bought the new corolla. And these we’re the ones that seemed to be the best for what I needed as a decent price!

    11:00 Yes you need an alignment. With ALL suspension work(especially with replacing a whole part) an alignment is recquired after

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah will most likely get an alignment soon once I get the suspension dialed in.

    I'm still on stock suspension at 269k miles and I knew exactly who to come to for new part reviews for this car. My right rear strut is leaking and is fully covered in fluid. I thought about getting some more stock struts but I'm going with coilovers.

    I think it looks pretty good. The back could be raised a little more just so it’s no a pain to drive every day. Pretty unfortunate that the wheel got misaligned so be sure to update us once that’s fixed

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  11 месяцев назад +2

      Yeah going to be raising it up soon, and getting the height where I want it.
      As for the wheel, not sure why the alignment was so far off. But definitely will need to get one soon!

    700$ is budget??????? there´s like 250$ ones out there

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  8 месяцев назад +4

      These are budget coil overs that are actually good! They are half the price of BC racing, and give you great handling!
      Cheaper ones like maxspeeding rods are very cheap and don’t give that good of handling!

    farm people... we live on dirt roads. No way can we lower the car! I am getting ready to change out the cabin filter and the fan blower resistor since the air is weak until you get to the last notch. I just got done with the oil change and the air filter. I'm so glad you have videos on this car!!!!

    Nice Corolla. I suggest getting a roll center/bump steer kit If you want your ride comfort to improve while being lowered and you can most likely run softer damper settings, too. Your daily driver shouldn't be brutal to drive. Get an alignment soon.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah that would be a good idea to add.
      And the ride is a little hard. But I have been so used to a harder ride I almost would rather have it, then soft suspension.
      But definitely will be getting an alignment soon once I get the ride height to where I want it!

  • @wesfields9322
    @wesfields9322 11 месяцев назад

    Recommendation, i knew you were going to do this to finish what you started. Add a rubber lip to protect those factory valances. Pretty much what you did to compesate with the other one but this time its just for protection. Also hopefully you still have the skid plate that protects the trans pan?

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  11 месяцев назад

      You might add a rubber lip to protect everything.
      As for the trans pan, this is a manual trans, so I don’t have a pan to worry about rubbing up against, and the trans is high enough where it won’t rub.

    Great video. I have the same corolla but in auto and in the modsing faze now. I was looking into the truharts and rev 9, so I'm curious about the differences between them. This is my daily and i love it.

      I had Rev9 coil overs on my last corolla. They were great coil overs. The TruHarts I have on this corolla, and they are good too, the ride quality is about the same. I would probably say the Truharts have a stiffer ride than the Rev 9.

    just out of curiousity, when you bought the seat covers for your other corolla, how long did you wait for them to come in? I ordered about a month ago they still are in production it says.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  11 месяцев назад

      They took about a week to receive. But I made sure the ones I ordered were in stock. If you add any customizing that usually makes the lead time about 8-10 weeks.
      So I just bought all black ones.

  • @Geek_2_freak

    • @BrandonStellmach

      The cheaper ones tend to be made very similar to most of the expensive one. The only things are would be the materials might be a little worse!

  • @Xanthro2
    @Xanthro2 11 месяцев назад +1

    I was legit going to ask if it would need an alinement after doing this, I'm glad you showed driving it. Thank you :)
    I hope you get it to where you want it height wise. I would not have it anywhere close to that low my self tbh, I do alot of bumpy trail rolling for fishing with my stock 04 S. If anything, I want to raise mine abit cuz that "body kit" keeps it about balled fist sideways (like holding a screw driver pointing at the sky, not throwing a punch) off the ground and it got bottomed out rubbed on parking lot entry driveways/slammed on trail roads more then a few times.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  11 месяцев назад +2

      I wouldn’t want to try to take my corolla off road now. I feel that I would scrap against everything!
      Definitely will be easing it up a little bit so I’m
      Not to low!

  • @hollylaw8272

    Hey Brandon... what type of gas do you put into your corollas? I thought I read that it requires 91 octane, but my husband is insisting that he saw cheaper gas was ok. I'm not sure what to do, and I can not seem to find videos on it specific to corollas

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  11 месяцев назад +1

      I believe I answered your question on another comment, but 87 octane is perfectly fine for these corollas. Toyota deigns the engines to run on lower octane fuel.

      Only have had them for a few weeks, and have almost been maxed out on the height,
      But so far they seem to handle great, but the ride does seem stiffer. But still want to adjust the height and drive some more before I give a honest review.
