The shot of Maggie next to the solar generator is probably the best promo-shot ever ❤
😍
Game changer not having drag your clothes off and wait for them!
Nice job using up your leftovers.
You two are so inspiring and enjoyable to watch.
Thanks Regina, so happy with how it turned out!
Woohoo!🎉; Time and money saver, so great! And their little shed is so cute! ❤
Whilst a new washer and dryer will not have been cheap, compared to using a launderette (Expensive), they will pay for themselves in no time. Plus you gain so much extra time (no trips to the Launderette) to develop your dream. Love seeing every little bit coming together, a new laundry room, a greenhouse, a garden, little projects that make a BIG difference, and soon a small house. Wishing you every success in your future endeavors. Love from Yorkshire.
Luckily for us iue washing machine was from our old house we sold to buy the land, we had stored it in our candle studio and the dryer was Jon's parents old one, so it was great we didn't have to buy anything 🎉
@@CampOutWest Wow even better, Nothing to be paid but everything to be gained.🤟
I really love how you guy's are not wasting anything and making very good use of it. A good example being set i feel. Keep up the good work and hopefully we are now through the worse of the rain now.
Such a good feeling using up all our off cuts and left over bits. Can't believe we can now wash our clothes on the land 🎉
@@CampOutWest it is but the smallest of thing's that gives the greatest pleasure. I remember when I no longer needed a launderette. The 7 miles to get there, the 1 hour of being there etc . 👍😁
Dirt (,muck) and mud is the reason farmers wear coveralls, and people before washing machines wore aprons and sleevecovers. Using a catch the dirt layer as your outer layer of clothes will save wear on your clothes and a lot of washing.
Do love a pair of overalls!
You kids are great! We enjoy watching you and admire your resourcefulness and work ethic. Thanks for allowing us to share your adventure. We are old enough to be your grandparents, btw, and have lived as you are now. May the LORD bless you and continue to protect and keep you.
Thank you so much ❤
I hope that people get inspiration from your use of your leftover materials/stuff…. Great work… the planning and thought is so evident as well as the skill! You are really impressive people! Anyone who can keep going through all 4 seasons in one day…. Very inspiring ! Love the progress!
Thanks Andrea ❤ the best feeling putting all our off cuts to good use.
Thank God you are 2 hardworking individuals .. You are quite a GREAT TEAM. ❤ from Québec
The dog is eyeing up his new kennel! Nice build
🤣🤣🤣🤣 this made us laugh out loud. To be fair she quite liked it inside
The little laundry shed was a great idea to save money in the long run. AND you can wash Maggie’s blankets too. Saw the sign at the launderette about dog blankets. :( I understand where they are coming from, but still annoying.
Now, you might kick yourselves later that you didn’t build a covered porch for your shed. Then you can do laundry in all weather! Of course, you can always add that later to the front and enclose it too when you have the funds.
We sometimes used to use a outdoor laundry station by our candle studio and we used it once after someone had washed their dog blankets and our clothes sadly got COVERED 😅 maybe they should have dedicated dog/animal blanket washing machines instead 😍
Now, you only have to find a way to make your own detergent so your washing experience will be totally free! I love the confidence you had! "We built a house, we can built a wee shed!" Well done! Wishing you some really good weather!
Oh we actually used 'soap nuts' a few years ago in our old house! I'd love to give that ago again 😄
It must feel like luxury being able to do the laundry on site. Chuffed for you
I absolutely love your channel. You use everything you make it less expensive. You young people really amaze me. You use your ingenuity and determination to achieve what you want and what you need.
Maggie is so inquisitive, and I love watching how she acts. Thank you for sharing your amazing journey! 👏 😊
Did U know U can make detergent from boiled down ivy leaves 😊
@@CampOutWest Ha! I came to recommend soap nuts! They are awesome and last so long. Great thing is they can be composted after.
Love that you are using all the left overs to make your laundry home.❤️❤️❤️
The most satisfying feeling 🙂
Putting the old slab to use for the washing machine was a great idea and that was a lovely laundry cabin you made well done. Great that you can do it off grid so kind of Anker to send you their product as they are very expensive to buy. You are both looking so much happier and your green house is lovely and so glad you could purchase stuff from the people retiring at the garden nursery to use. We've had nothing but rain all week too. A lovely video and have a lovely week.
Thank you 💛 the slabs have been so useful! We have our chickens on top of another old slab on the land too, just means nothing can dig underneath them🥰
That's a cracking build, it really is lovely to see you working together and what a result!
Thanks Jose! Super happy with how it turned out 😃
He’s the man 💪🏻he can do it all literally kemon
Wel done guys
He's amazing 😍😍😍
@@CampOutWest wish I lived closer so I could help 😁. Yous are doing great
My 2nd Great Grandmother was born in Pembrokeshire Wales and left with her parents to travel to the USA when she was 6 weeks old back in 1855.
great saving! great teamwork as usuel. unjoying your vids.
Well done indeed! Very brave , and its a very hard path to take ,but your love for each other will give you the strength you need ! Greetings from Moscow ! !
What a fantastic addition to the site - so accessible and using up so much stuff that was leftover. I know the hardware would have cost you a few pounds - and maybe the roofing felt - but a very big 'well done' on the laundry cabin! Here's to good weather for you and for the roof! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jim! Luckily we had half the roofing felt left over from a previous job, so we only needed a little patch at the front, but I reckon all in all it cost us £100, which is amazing!
The rubber mat is a brilliant idea. Never thought of that. Rock on!
I admire you two so much, I’m in my 50s and never really achieved much in my life so watching you two graft hard in all kinds of weather being totally brave and attempting most jobs really fills me with positivity and admiration
I log in and watch every episode and have from the very beginning,
You’re both so fearless and adorable,Maggie too.
Looking forward to many more episodes and adventures
Thanks WB 🥰 so kind of you to say! Thanks for watching and the support. It doesn't go un-noticed
You can build a drying canopy using the same panels that are on the greenhouse. Can be a little taller than the washing machine house you just built. Leave a 1m gap around the sides at the bottom for air to go through.
On the most overcast, wettest days in December, a pair of jeans will be dry in 2 days. Sunny day and they are dry in 1.5 hours or less.
Use your tumble dryer for 10mins then to get the last bit of dampness out of them in winter if you need to.
I use this system in the Irish Midlands, with very similar weather to you.
It will free up the Anker for other things during construction.
Great project, I always look forward to the videos.
Great ideas Kevin, something to definitely look into, i have been hanging my wet weather gear in the greenhouse to a similar effect since we built it as i found my kit constantly wet was making it stink! We recently visited Ireland and loved it there.
@@CampOutWest You need to keep the sides very open. Learned this the hard way too!! 😁
Looking forward to seeing great progress this summer!
Fingers crossed for sunshine and dry days heading our way 😊🤞
Great project this week! Having your laundry set up is going to be a game changer! Hopefully the sunshine will be with you and you can dry your washing for free! 😊
Thanks Lesley! Today we have our freshly washed bedding hanging on the washing line on the land, what a time to be alive 🎉🎉🎉
Even your washing station is a beautiful piece of work….what a great way to use up your surplus materials plus create a money & time saving facility for your site. Those power stations aren’t cheap at all so it was super good of Anker to help out….great job you two! Another brilliant episode & another step forwards. Hoping your getting on with the cabin, and look forward to your next video. Marcus
New build home 😝 custom homestead made with love 😍 i cannot wait to visit you guys in the future!!
Your skills have improved so much since you started to work on the land. Enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much Adel!
Love love love this - great ingenuity ! Keep them coming!
That was a brilliant idea. Not only will it save you money it will more importantly save you time. Everything is slowly coming together
Honestly, we couldn't believe when we worked it out how much we were paying each week 😅 the reality of trying to do this in the UK - we just don't get the weather to be able to dry your clothes outside haha!
Was waiting to see you.
Another wonderful project, really like it . All the best.
Such a smart idea guys, I am always learning while watching you work. Thanks for another awesome vlog 😊
Superb video, love seeing how resourceful you are and the stuff you can make, keep up the great content !!
Such a lovely couple
I am really amazed by that anker! You two work so hard! Looking forward to the next video ❤
Always a good time when Camp Out West uploads 😊 Had a tough few days mentally so this has made it worth the pain 😊
Hope you've been okay through the crazy weather the UK has had the last few days! Also those small greenhouses are amazing things, my mum has planted a few veggies and they've shot up!
Hope the grey clouds pass soon for you Josh 🙏 and some better days ahead ❤️ All ok here thanks, fingers crossed for some dryer days so we can progress with the build 🤞 the green house has been great to start our seeds off in, ready to move them outside 😊
@@CampOutWest They're easing thank you! It never ceases to amaze me how you can create anything out there on the land ❤️🙏
its so amazing to see how quickly your land is turning into a cosy homestead. love the Episode as always. hopefully one day i will be in a similar situation like both of you supplying your own food and building your dream homes. you guys are so amazing. keep it up!!
Your channel has really grown since the first episodes. Love keeping up with you guys.
Thanks Debbie, hard to believe so many people actually watch us each week 🥰
Great to see a video like this! Big inspiration for my own journey to going off grid in my old cottage
Another great vlog guys, you both work so hard and deserve all you have and will have. Glad you have your own washing facilities now 👍 that will make a big difference. Take care❤
Every little thing you two build is adorable
Excellent job on upcycling all you materials for the laundry - love it!
Enjoy watching your videos. Lots of good ideas and I like how nothing is wasted and all is recycled. Ur doing an amazing job xx
How nice for you to have your own laundry again! Congratulations!
It`s nice to see the equipment being recycled and put to good use .Well done.
Great video love the washer and dryer build..❤❤❤
Having the portable power unit will make life so much easier for you! Enjoyed your work today. Great score at the nursery.. items you can use over and over.
Keep cracking on. It’s looking good
I swear by Anker products - robust and always reliable 👌🏻🏴🍺
We are so grateful! We have had issues with all the other generators we've been sent apart from Anker, they are the only ones still going strong 🎉
Oh that must have been exciting and it looks so nice! Well done!
Absolute genius. You are both so talented, I'm amazed.
You guys are so inspirational, the weather here in Wales has been almost constant rain. Love how you looked at your spend and solved your problem and used materials you already had on site to build your own laundry room.
All made in between the rain, well done. Looking forward to watching your next video as your home comes to life.
Xxx
What an awesome thing to create. Well done guys!
Life made a little simpler! Great job!
You are so blessed to have such a handyman you both are amazing on how you are able to to be use all your resources on your land see you next week
Amazing work well done! Washer dryer deffo game changer 🙌
that's great work guys, well done! and super that you've used so much stuff that you already had.
Great job, Jon and Emillie. Looks fantastic. So much time and money saved, not to mention the petrol for your car. Thank you.
So glad you all have laundry on site now. Thanks for sharing your build with us.
Thank you 😃 such a game changer!
Great job guys, another great addition to the site
Thanks John, so excited to finally be able to do laundry 🧺 on site 🎉
Could not have been any more timely for me! Been fixing up an old shed with the hopes of moving my machines out of my kitchen and this keeps me motivated!!
Nice Job Looks Great.
I absolutely enjoy and love your channel. You have made amazing strides in what you both are doing. You do things that most people will not do and that is reuse things and material that can be very useful. Maggie is the treasure that you have there on your property. She is so inquisitive. Thank you for sharing your amazing journey. I can hardly wait to see what is next.😊
What a fantastic addition guys, now you can do your washing and drying on the land, the stuff from the garden nursery was an amazing find too, hopefully the weather settles down soon, tfs x Julie
Your skills are getting so good!
The Anker is a game changer.
Bliss! Washing and drying on your own land 😊
I absolutely love watching your progress guys... 🎉😊 Feeling inspired from Australia!
WOW u two work so well together luv the washer and dryer idea😊😊😊
It's the small things that make such a difference. We were lucky to stay rent free in our friends 1865 cabin, which had electricity, a kitchen, and a toilet. But we had to drive to another friends to shower, and back to our house to use the laundry. It was so time consuming. Glad to be back in our house and have everything to hand again.
I'm so excited to see your progress.
Here in the US we're always impatient nice to see you two manage your weather set backs
Great to see yet more projects coming together. Will you make a temporary frame for the solar panels on the roof of the new wash-o-matic centre? Held on with some big spring clamps maybe?
We were looking at what we could do to make our solar panels more secure on the top. It the long run we want to install a solar array on the land, but for now your idea sounds great! Thanks 🙂
good show! you 2 are amazing. cheers from Canada🤠 You two make it look easy!😊
Thanks so much! Cheers for watching 😃
John has become so much better and more confident with building. Well done.
He is amazing 🥰
wow… you did amazing with the washing area 💞 & so nice to plant some seeds too!! 😊
Thank you for another engaging video, made especially so because of your lovely personalities, positive mentality, and work ethic - and video making skills! Lee
Thanks Lee! 😃
Well done!! ❤
So creative, I love it!
Well done guys, nice job on the laundry build, pity the weather has slowed down the cabin build. Hopefully nicer weather on the way for you. keep up the great work there. Alan from Swansea.
Honestly, can't believe we have washing and drying facilities on the land. We are hoping the weather will improve soon 🤞 We bought all our roofing boards ready to finish the roof and 2 days of the material being on the land covered in waterproof tarps and they literally went black with mould (no idea how the water even got in, as we double wrapped them) but that was £400 wasted, so we don't want to risk doing the roof and buying more material until we know it's 100% dry 😅 but next week 🤞is looking good!
Amazing
You have come such long way guys
You can now just put together anything you want
Love your laundry cubby
Wow you two are amazing! Can’t wait to see the house finished!
Thanks Susie!
another great vlog guys.
That haul from the garden centre was brilliant! Lovely to see so much of their things going on to be reused - it’s all about sustainability and reuse. The little green house is great and the laundry cabin is fab! Brilliant video - keep up the amazing work!
Thanks Richie! Honestly, the garden centre was amazing! It's so satisfying knowing you can re-use something.
Congratulations!
Love watching the progress its fab thanks for sharing with us all!!
Cheers for the support Alun!
"Waste not. Want not." It's great seeing all the old supplies get a new life. Cheers from FL, USA!
Such a stratifying feeling putting all the off-cuts to good use :)
Thrilled for you guys-- such a game-changer!
Never knew I'd be so excited to do washing 🤣
Hello from Pembrokeshire you guys are so amazing your dreams are starting to come true well done ❤
Great video update. It's a good idea to use all the leftover bits and pieces, and it will certainly save you money in the long term . Its a shame we are having some crazy weather lately, all the best Martin
Great job, guys. This will really make your lives easier 😊
Great to see a new video, I was worried the storms had damaged your progress.
Great job guys, love the way you use all the stuff up Happy clothes washing
You both have come along way I agree your building skills have come along way well done to you both 😊
You guys have done a great job. Awesome
Wonderful job guys, always so resourceful 🤩
Thanks Bev, so satisfying putting all the offcuts to good use!
Brilliant! A real game changer.
Always a good time of year to get the hands in the dirt and plant! My dads tomatoes have gone. Mental, hope your veggies do too. Power station looks crazy, hope it works for you.
Love the laundry shack xx
Great use of surplus materials, well done both. Here’s hoping for a break in the weather so that you can crack on with the Tiny House Build. Looking forward to the next instalment. Enjoy your new on-site launderette in the meantime. Paul 👍👍
fantastic another great video
A great time and money saving up grade and the rustic laundry room looks good too❤
Well done 👏 what a brilliant little laundry shed and your little greenhouse too 😊 xx
