- So at Evo I was lucky enough for Capcom to let me try out the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection and let me run you through the details of what this collection has. For all the retro fans out there this collection has tons of great goodies, and for people who have never played mvc games, this is the best starting point you could hope for!

So while I was at Evo Capcom was nice enough to let me try out the Marvel vs Capcom collection early! So me being me, lets get into the weeds and details about the collection. The games are the games, I am pretty sure I don't gotta sell you on marvel vs capcom 2 at this point, but the collection itself features a lot of fun options within that might entice you so lets dig into it!

My God the wait for the release date for this is killing me
I played it at evo. Ps4 version was beautiful. Switch version played great but the visuals where more pixilated.
I see no lies. Checking the Playstation Store for a shadow release, nothing. Eventhubs; my usual fighting games news website, nothing.

Actually, 'The Punisher' was Capcom's first Marvel game.
Really looking forward to this. I had MvC2 as a kid but hadn't properly learned fighting games at the time so it was just spam normal and specials whilst praying I'd catch them. Can't wait to play it as was intended ^_^

That booth was fun. It was more fun when Saint Cola hosted a mini tourney for a pair of headphones and Saturday; The Capcom League Champs Team Bandidts where having a Meet & Greet signing posters.

I decided to give MVC2 a spin the other day on Fightcade and the differences between what's on this video and on that rom are insane.
I'm hoping they somewhat modernized the controls input shortcuts and etc because leverless on the OG was a very interesting ride.
unfortunately leverless can't really handle older games as well, they REALLY care that you hit all the diagonals

Thank you for doing this and always covering for newbies/casual fans, I have been waiting to watch this video for a few weeks as I’ve been busy and I was nervous I wouldn’t be able to approach these games due to my lack of input skills, but to know there are some modern supports to help me ease in is just amazing, bloody love you and all your content Rooflemonger! You got me to love fighting games again💙
Those collections is what we need :) , it is so heartwarming to see that Capcom care about preservation. I will be happy to throw money at them for this and many more collections of this sort!

It almost should be on here. Since Disney now owns the rights to Aliens and Predator franchises (for film at least, not sure who has the comics and toys nowadays)
But I guess since it was before Marvel/Disney owning them it wouldn't be a Marvel/Capcom game. I dunno but I hope it does get released. It is the best beat em up of that era imo

It ain't weird. They just announced the damn thing only a few weeks ago.
Most games take upwards of 5 months for that sort of thing. You're looking at someone who is a big Suikoden fan, waiting for Suikoden 1 & 2 collection, and I've been waiting for a release date since 2022.
Capcom is killing me by being vague w a release date. Just hook us up already!! ❤️❤️

Well maybe they’re gonna add some more extra features. I’m so excited though! It’s gonna be so fun to play all these classics again.
You do know that it's been this way since the 80's right? Packaging, promotion, marketing, patching, final tweaks, checks and balanced, final evaluation and going gold final build takes upwards of 2-4 months at best.
Having the move list at the press of a button is worth the price of the whole collection.
I was patient for this but now I'm getting annoyed because this collection is absolutely finished and ready to go but they are waiting for what? Smh evo24 was perfect to shadow drop with a cool trailer after sf6 finals.
Pixel smoothing filter is always the best filter.
Oh yeah, I feel like I should mention - the version of MvC2 used in the Fighting Collection is the Dreamcast version. Hence why Training Mode is there for it. Pretty cool that Capcom & Marvel Games did that! :D

I remember growing up in saw some guys in a local store used to play MvC2 all the time and i was like one day i’ll play that game and i got to play the crappy ios port, now I’m ready to finally properly play this game, i need to i owe it to my younger self
They could announce it at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.
I don't even have any nostalgia for these games but I'm still picking this collection up. Not only do they look so cool but I also want to show that we want another MVC game!

Im buying this 4 times. Physical on ps4 and switch. And digital on both. I’m not opening the physical copies
God I wish I could have gone to EVO so I can try out the collection. Just God I love Marvel 2 and the versus series. (For the record I’m on the younger side 19. 😅 Grew up on MvC2 thanks to my father buying it on PS3 and have been a fighting game fan ever since.)
I like how they made this selection but I wish they added ultimate marvel vs capcom instead of punisher
It sucks being 30 but relatively new to fighting games. Its hard to get hyped for old games even though you were around when they came out....

1) not announced yet
2) yes, you can unlock them in the game’s options, as seen in Maximilian Dood’s video with Justin Wong.
Im guessing they're gonna let SvC Chaos cook for awhile until finally releasing a date
To be fair, SvC Chaos is more of a SNK game, the Marvel vs. Capcom Collection is pure Capcom
They’re testing the waters and hopefully we get a Capcom Vs Snk 1 and 2 collection!

Hasn't it already been announced for Dec something (forgot the exact date?).

Gotcha, I didn't know... I hadn't looked at the actual date in December. I just saw December and assumed it was sometime then.
If I had actually looked up the exact date, I would have recognized the standard placeholder used when a game doesn't yet have an exact release date.
This is good news for me (just me) because I had just assumed the game was coming sometime in December. Now there's a better than good chance we're getting the game before Dec... who knows, maybe sometime real soon even!?
I just wish Capcom would have include the best versions of each game. Like the Saturn versions of X-Men Vs SF & MSH Vs SF. The Dreamcast version of MVC & the PS3/360 of MVC2. Also they should have included the X-men & Marvel SNES games.

Did you feel any noticeable input lag on these games? That's something I remember the older collections have a big issue with
everything felt perfectly fine as I played it
I was at evo and when I played the ps4 version it was much more smoother in my opinion.

1. Does all art collection can be export in any HD format for plexi art printouts?
2. All secret character in MvSF and MvC1 ? Are they accessible? How about Abyss from MvC2?

If this is like capcom fighting collection, the ps4/5 version will have a lot of input lag. Get the steam and or switch version, way more responsive.
Does the collection have Versus Mode? 3 punches or 3 kicks button? 3rd and 4th palette colors for all characters (like Saturn ports of XvsSF, MSHvsSF)?

They can be real tough to beat on default settings, since they were made to munch quarters.

I've seen some stuff that would suggest they got rid of Juggernaut's glitch in MvC2 do you know anything about that?
i think they should launch a "ultimate" version like KOF 2002 UM include on package...with bug fixes and patch balance...with more Chars....

Man been loving the content. As far as the this video goes, i think that once this comes out, i will be a fiend for mvc2. Ill hit online hard. I still have my ps2 plugged in solely to play mvc2. Now…i can…let the boy rest lol

I bought the arcade 1up cabinet thinking this would never come out..$900 down the drain..
I wonder if we'll be able to get mods for the collection to enhance the training mode with something like frame data. Either way this is an easy Day 1 buy, so many people are gonna be on this.
I'm convinced that, in addition to #FreeMVC, X-Men 97 made this happen. The X-Men characters never looked better than in the 90's Capcom games.
That said, I hope they include a built-in ratio mode for MvC2. The God tiers were fun for a decade or so but now if it's not ratio or a mid/low-tier tournament I can't get hype.

I was expecting a new marvel vs capcom 4 trailer guess we didn’t but the good news is that Shuhei Matsumoto wants to bring back series with a new one, the bad news is that it will take some time. Let’s be patient because we don’t want to make the same mistakes with MVCI (except the switch mechanic, it was the only good thing of the series)

I dont really understand the hype or appeal of hit boxes. Surprise, the hitbox of the fireball is approximately the size snd shape of the fireball. I want to know if the game offers frame data snd how detailed it is. Because that information lets me reasonably learn the game without outside resources, or at least with far less.
They should add a feature to change difficulty during gameplay.
Wouldn't the next game be Marvel vs Capcom 5? Or are we all collectively agreeing that Infinite didn't happen?
