      @@PerformanceOnWheels a comparison with a 2-doot JL Rubicon and the new 2-door Bronco would be incredible. It is probably the only things comparable to this. Other reviews gloss over the comfort/daily comparisons and focus on off road. How much more comfortable is the 90 vs a top spec Bronco or Wrangler? Is the coiled 90 still leagues above them or is the air suspension really necessary to elevate the comfort?
      You guys are the only ones on RUclips it seems with a coiled 90 in the USA. I'd love to see a comparison to one with air suspension. Many people are probably curious if the peace of mind and cost savings are worth the comfort sacrifice.

    it might be simple, but can you show how to remove the rear seat to lay it flat?

    • @john1959ism
      @john1959ism 2 месяца назад

      Know your comment is 3yrs old, but the seat cushion pops out and lays on its side on the floor directly behind the front seats. When re-installing, just line the seat belt connector (red button end) in the seat cushion cut outs and it snaps back.

    I’m having the 110 vs 90 question myself - the first row jump seat is what is making me think I can make the transition from a navigator L 3 row. I just love the 90 looks so much. I think the thing that might make it viable is the optional roof rack package and a box or a roof rack basket. How is the ride quality vs a standard luxury SUV such as the Escalade or navigator?

    • @PerformanceOnWheels
      @PerformanceOnWheels  3 года назад +3

      The ride is definitely stiffer then a navigator, I think the escalade rides about the same. However we do not have the air suspension

    The back door window frame seems so flimsy compared to my Landcruiser (2018 prado short wheelbase 2 seater commercial van type) just wondering how that will hold up long term. Also can you open the rear door from the inside? Sometimes I like to sleep in the back of my Landcruiser but you can't open the door from the inside which is a bit annoying. Even I think I would need the 110 rather than a 90 as the back seems much smaller than my Landcruiser.

    Thank you both for such a well-detailed, informative review. These vehicles have historically had poor reliability, as per the Consumer Reports yearly car ratings. But they also rate Jeep very low, too, yet my 1998 Cherokee Sport I had for 20 years(1999-2019) was very reliable. I traded it for a new 2019 Wrangler S, very happy with that one, too. So time will tell on the new Defenders. It may well be a very good vehicle despite its history. I have just subscribed today.

    Here I go again. I had 3, sorta 4 Land Rovers in my life. Now I have a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. Lease is now up and with 30 K miles it has been literally flawless. Jeep is offering huge incentives on the new Grand Cherokee 4xe. Nearly half the price on payments for 2-3 years then the Defender and optioned out at even higher pricing then the Defender. HOWEVER, I'm back in love with a Land Rover product. The 90 Defender. I'm going on Tuesday to see if I can make it work. My wife is worried I'm going over budget and she's the one with the financial brain. However, I just LOVE this damn Defender even though my other Land Rovers were NOT reliable at all. What am I thinking!!!. I'm thinking I may just jump and get the Defender 90. Crazy what Land Rover does to its customers. Must be something in the dealerships water. They hypnotize you.

They have a NEW 90 Defender in , hold your horses, dogs, boat, whatever you're holding ..... It's PURPLE. I'm not kidding, the owner of the dealership decided to wrap one in bright purple. $7,000 wrap, and not charging for it.
