  • The 20th Anniversary of Ultimate Adventure goes big in Alaska! On Day 1 the group departs Wasilla Alaska, airs down, and engages 4x4 to tackle the deep water, bottomless mud, and gooey silt on the trail leading to the Knik Glacier. After getting stuck, suffering some axle and tire carnage, and fixing a few flat tires, Ultimate Adventure heads back to civilization to prepare for UA2019 Day 2. #UA2019 #UltimateAdventure #Offroading

    My family has been going to Knik for over 20myears. Off roading there is no big deal. Go to Eureka down the backside of Monument and on to Horse Pasture Pass. That is off roading in Alaska.

    Great opening footage. "Were heading to a glacier", and there's a jeep with no roof or doors, and another with a cracked windshield. You know you're in for a good video. Optimised by the comment "I wouldn't stick my finger in there", which was relevant, justified and the quote of the day!

    Kevlar tires in Alaska. Lol. Man up. I’ve been going to Jim’s creek since the mid 80’s. Ruby lake trail should have been your first trail. Jim’s is ok. But not really all that challenging. Then I’d hit buffalo mine area and do the trails towards Sutton. And further on towards kinds River. Much better off road areas. And can be done without touching pavement if you know the trails. The guys they took with them groan Alaska Don’t really know the real trails.

    Cool video. Loved living in Alaska and wish I could do it again.
    Only feedback: video showed at least 2 different unsafe practices. First one was a guy leaning over the handle of the Hi-Lift jack while it was in use. Second was sitting in front of the tire sidewall while inflating. You should always be perpendicular to the sidewall to avoid injury should the tire pop.

    Man that is awesome I would love to take my Chevy trailboss on a trail like that after my BDS lift kit but In all honesty I would feel a lot more comfortable taking a jeep on a trail like that. It’s lighter, shorter wheel base, better approach and departure angles, and more clearance. Trails like that just prove why they are better off road rigs.

    Love this stuff. I have a rig in mind for a someday kinda similar trip. Should u build a sweet rig and go or just buy a sweet UTV and do the trip? My favorite rigs are always the big boys the full size trucks that are newer like from diesel power products. Wow tho that’s an insanely expensive route to go tho. I’ve always wanted a 73-79 F-150-F350. Man those r just so beefy from the get go, even the half ton, comes with a 9 inch rear and Dana 44 front & np205 transfer case. Bulletproof parts from the start up to around 37 in tires.

      @Offroad Design Camel Trophy was participated almost stock cars (not mention stronger CV's and few bash plates). In similiar amount of time... but. But they sink them to the roof, build's bridges and roads just to move forward... not run on opoular ,,trails" and dig into ocassional mudholes near to traill just to make good photos.

      @jakubstrumillo 4 года назад

      @Offroad Design i know cars used in Ultimate Adventure was proper builds i follow many of them from very begining of build, but for such amount of mods, this is not challenging enough. This routes will be ultimate for stock Jeeps on 32's but not for those monsters. ;/

      @Offroad Design and not mentioned... Land Rovers in Camel Trophy have open diffs (no limited slip or something and in Discovery only 2 pinion diffs) and 8500lbs Winches. Check videos of what they do and how they perform reaching camps. Drivers, Pilots and even sometimes jurnalist must dig, pull or push those cars just to make 50miles per day)
