This is a great video!! Keep in mind, Victory (associated with Truck Movers), may not sign you on as a new driver, if you live in the west coast & they don't have anything. I found this out the other day from a recruiter interview.
Even if you start with money. Singles DO NOT PAY ENOUGH TO REPLACE A DRIVER’S cost. They only have garbage loads. They do not explain all of the tools you can use.
My husband does another Driveaway and he started off at TM! I do it… I’M JUST MAD I DON’T HAVE CLASS A! He can do loads that I can’t. I run buses mostly! I just feel like I’m not doing as good as I could be doing! My husband kills it!!! I keep getting offered the same runs. And not getting offered many connecting runs. I want to stay out. But I will say they have something where… if I’m coming right back to pick up another… they offer free flight. My husband and I switch off. My issues isn’t TM! I didn’t fully understand private contracting when I got in. But the traveling, freedom and experience!!!!! I love that! But it works for us, we switch off every 2 weeks.
My wife and I were considering a similar situation to yours as well. It’s a lot of money out there and you certainly can’t beat that freedom. Best of luck to yall!
I'm not a big fan of escrow accounts and I do know it takes up in 90 days before you get your money back I wonder if you can get your own insurance instead of having an escrow account ???
I just started doing drive away my pay is $125/car most deliveries are around 70miles. The company reimburses me for my Ubers to and from picking up the cars and 50% of the pay up front. I’m gonna try to do atleast 4 pickups a day
My children are grown now and I am hoping to make more money over the next 7 years to retire at 67. My wife and I are in a good place and she works 7 on 7 off. Do you think a guy could make real good money if you worked say 7 to 10 days out and 3 or 5 home then back out? Thanks for the content.
Truckmovers is the one I was thinking about. So if I have a couple thousand dollars to start. I can make a decent amount working every other weekend? Make some more content please. I was talking with Truckmovers. I asked for more information from them on this company and they just didn’t send me anything!!! And I asked twice!!!
I wonder if you can pay for your own insurance instead of having an escrow account.?? Why is there a escrow account when you don't own the truck?? Escrow accounts are tricky. Can you get your money or some money out of your escrow accout if needed??? If you stop doing driveway do you get all of your money ftom escrow account??
I’ll cover this in more detail in later videos but basically it was just a portion of your settlement would be put in a separate pile that would be used if any incidents were to happen while in delivery, for example if you were to scratch the vehicle. You cannot get money from that account to my knowledge and if you stop doing driveaway they will give you your money back as long as you return the tags and plates to them.
@@GeneWheel I was told by some people that did drive away they caught hell getting the money back I believe it takes 90 days before you get your money back which is ridiculous
@@richl2723 i know it takes up to 90 days which I think is ridiculous before you get your money back I know some people ran into an issue with escrow accounts . That's What insurances for I have my own insurance.
Hi i just came across the video.. so im thinking about it but ..with driveaway did you say you are doing piggy back or you doing one at a time ..Pluse with the loads how long before you can choose your own loads ..will it be worth it driving short load from Atlanta
I personally was with truckmovers and I’m not too familiar with pinnacle but all driveaway companies have pros and cons but generally they all provide a way to make a lot of quick cash
Not for nothing, but the math says you didn't take home $3,000 a week. Four months = 16 weeks. 30,000 ÷ 16 = $1,875. Still pretty good, but it's no 3k a week.
I did take home $3000 a week. I didn’t work every week. I took a lot of time off to be with family and travel so if I would had actually did it consistently it would’ve been more than 30k.
very helpful been looking for true info on this topic now my only question is their any companys that pay all of the overhead and pay you as an employee

Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the heads up!
Truck movers pays good money, a friend of mine made 300k last year.
Which companies? 🤔
Most likely that’s gross pay before operating cost & expenses.
@@red_Oneyes but after expenses and taxes you’re still looking at over 100k
@@rome27 yes, people like to talk about how much they generate & not how much they took home.
Wtf am I not doing the is
Great video!!!! Definitely gotta have money to be successful in Driveaway! Hotels, rental cars, a personal vehicle makes it even better
Absolutely, couldn’t agree more! It’s a whole different monster lol

Get a plane home? You loose the money you make by traveling to the next load.

I did drive away back in 2015-2016 and the earning potential is definitely there. Especially if you have a vehicle you’re towing with you.
Absolutely, the kind of driveaway I did, the company would actually fly you from terminal to terminal

Escrow is your money. If you don't use it, you will get it back when you leave.

@@GeneWheel Ahhh, Ok. Awesome. Thanks for the clarification.
Brother is there a way i can talk to u privately
Do u need a tow car to make that type of money or no
No, you do not. You drive the entire load and catch a plane to the next load.
very helpful been looking for true info on this topic now my only question is their any companys that pay all of the overhead and pay you as an employee
I met a driver OTR and he said he worked for a Driveway company called Unimark and supposedly they paid him as an employee
What's an example of other companies
So what was the net pay
Do u have to do driver logs?
Yes since you are OTR but you can do paper logs or use an ELD App like Keep Trucking
how much cdl experience they require?
At the time they wanted 2 years but I have to confirm because it could have changed.
💚🌻
Are you still doing this?
No, he quit cuz of the wife and kids
Its there any work for class B licensed drivers
There are companies like Acertus, and Quality Drive Away.
So you need a CDL?
Yes at least for the driveaway jobs I am referring to
@@GeneWheel B ok ?
They have some non cdl
Such bs…doesn’t show any expenses. Dude after that 30k u made maybe 10
So ur saying he had 20k in expenses over 3 months?? That doesnt add up. How much do YOU make in 3 months!!!😂
@@trafficjam. 20000 .. home everyday .. drive a company truck .. no expenses
