Hey,,I started with Quality, did 4 runs out of Goshen with my tow car in 13 day...Wyoming, New Jersey, Nevada and Colorado..2 class C & 2 class B...I took home 2,730 dollars after all was said and done....Im going back for another 2 weeks on 4/27 but now I got my raíl hitch and pintle hitch setup and planning on picking up CDL Class A loads after delivering the motorhomes,And will stay away from school buses!!!...Will from dispatch has been great so far,,and Kevin also!!,,lets see if I can bring a little more money this next time around...fuel prices are insane and March is the windy of them all,,but I enjoy being able to be 2 weeks on and 4 weeks off.
That's great to hear! I've been trying to stay away from RV driveaway because of all the horror stories I've heard about how bad the mileage is on them. But they can't be as bad as school buses! Glad to see others are making some money with these high fuel prices. I think you'll love the CDL loads! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your experiences, keep in touch and let me know how it goes the next time you're out on the road!
@@DrivingWithDonmileage on RV not that bad, sweet spot at 62/65..Class B 11.5 mpg and Class C 8.5 mpg with tow car and winds,,so there's room for improvment, plus I deadheaded back on every run and still made few bucks...next time out Im going after the 1.50 x mile units,,goal is to bring 4000 bucks home in 15 days
ID like to see how you hookup on a Semi,,from start to finish...hitch and electrical..and an Altec "gas guzzer" pintle setup as well,,I have the idea and think I can handle it but be nice to actually get tips on tools, steps, and "how to"....Olwin
@@yeetyeet6682 That's a good goal! Those headwinds real really eat up your mpg. Just took a bus to Colorado that I was hoping to get 8 to 10 out of. Fought 20+mph headwinds and ended up getting 5 to 6 mpg most of the trip :(
@@yeetyeet6682 @yeet yeet I plan on doing a video like that soon. As for the pintle hook up, I looked at some on the Internet and me and a buddy fabricated one. Pretty simple. Pro Drive Away Man has a good video on his. Here's his video on it ruclips.net/video/DBXWnfBiWJE/видео.html
1500 dollars a week we'll depending in what state you are living because if you live in the state of California not even for toilet paper you going to make for 1500 bucks a week
So every run is otr just to make money for drive away why do these videos show otr running not trying do otr . You pay for fuel or not. How do you get from terminal to terminal
Most all runs are otr. Whether you pay for fuel or the company you are leased to pays for fuel, is up to the company you lease to. There are really no "terminals" for the most part. Some companies have drop yards, but by far and away you'll be picking up at dealers or another company and delivering to a company. How you get to drop off and pick up locations is entirely up to you in this business. You're an independent contractor. Some people use public transportation, some people like myself use a tow vehicle.
Great info and videos. In the process of signing with victory. Already with quality and wanting to add a third. No tow car yet but I still do decent even with the gas prices. Run pretty similar to how you run just add a 4-5th day to offset my travel expenses. Tow car is the way to go you make a decent amount more.
Yep, a lot of people claim they make as much or more without a tow car, but I don't believe it. Especially now that you can't get a car rental for less than $100 a day and flights have skyrocketed.
@@DrivingWithDon crazy with the flights going up now I def dont make as much though without a tow car but still decent enough for now to keep doing it.
Hello. I was wondering if you would have some advice. I signed up with pinnacle. It's been trying to get my first run for over 2 weeks and haven't gotten anything. Is this normal? I live 8n southern California and have tried to sign on with other companies but a lot of them are saying they are not accepting California drivers at the time
I don't know anything about Pinnacle. But most companies should be able to get you a load a lot quicker than two weeks as long as all your paperwork is done and you have your placards and tags. You should be ready to rock. And yes, lots of companies won't hire CA folks.
@@johnmazzola1221 I could be wrong, but I've heard that driveaway companies don't like to hire drivers from CA because of their Independent Contractor laws there.
@@MrBillpam91 They may still do, it's just been so long since I took a load with them where I had tolls. I do one for them every now and then if it's convenient for me since they don't pay that well.
I have no experience with them so I can't say. If I remember correctly, the Pro Drive Away Man was/is leased on to them. Look his videos up on RUclips. He has a lot of good info on the industry.
You're an independent contractor. Lodging is up to you. There are companies that do pay for lodging, but typically you'll be an employee of theirs, not an IC. Also, if you noticed, two of those trucks had sleepers. Built-in lodging right behind the driver's seat!

Change your residence with them, declare to pinnacle you livin Nevada, get a mailbox. And go get some money
They dont get any expense deductions on that $20 an hour job either, lol.

So Quality does not pay for tolls anymore?

Pay seems a little low for the risk involved.
I'm not sure what risk you assume there is, but otay buckwheat!
$1,020 dollars is not gross. It's awesome 👌 🤣
Was that CDL or non cdl
I'm pad CDL rates whether the loads are non-cdl or cdl. But these were actually CDL trucks.
Wow your half the problem in driveaway
There's a problem in driveaway? I wasn't aware. Guess I've been too busy lately ;)
