Oh. My. Goodness. Out of everything here I can honestly say the product im most excited for is Mutalk. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love everything else, its just that I've been looking for something like the mutalk for YEARS. Being the night owl that I am, I usually have to talk very low so that I don't wake everyone up. Because of that people on the other side of the game usually have a problem hearing me. All the other products similar to this one that I've come across were either kickstarters that never got enough support so it died out, or it was just a device to dampen your voice, no way to put a mic inside of it. I am really really really looking forward to this one
That wireless tech demo you tried sounds really promising. If they manage to flesh it out a lot and streamline the whole experience, they could release something like Nvidia's Geforce Now but for VR. Or in other words, you pay a monthly fee, and then get a remote PC that's extremely high end to play PCVR on. You could connect your HMD to your PC and then have the application send signals through your PC to your HMD, or alternatively have an application similar to Virtual Desktop where you don't even need to connect any cables whatsoever to your PC and have it all completely wireless. Whatever the case may be, I'm excited for all the goodies coming soon!
You know what thrill, I'm very interested in the mutalk... there seem to be 1 or 2 devices out there like it but they don't actually do as they claim so I would love to see a device thta comes into fruition that can be used to severly mute your voice to outsiders while being able to act as a microphone that has good sound quality
Imagine having on a haptic suit where someone can, for example, write letters on your back and you can close your eyes and feel what letters they are writing. Now imagine it's a videogame character writing on your back?! :O
it's kinda rare to see thrill out of his house now without phia being around somewhere and honestly seeing friendships like that bloom is always really nice
when you were speaking about when you tried the rain simulation you said you could feel raindrops on places you didn’t have haptics on, and it reminded me of the phenomenon of phantom touch within vr (tactile hallucinations, or in simpler terms, feeling the touch of virtual objects induced by immersion in a virtual environment) which got me thinking: if what you did experience was a form of phantom touch, then with the widespread introduction of haptics it might both be easier to develop the phenomena (or in other words, experience that state of heightened realism within vr) and also experience a heightened degree of phantom touch, due to there already being stimulation from the haptic suit as opposed to your body having create the illusion of stimulation with nothing to work with, so to speak.
These gadgets all look nuts! Realistix haptics, force feedback, smellovision? Some of it in a consumer friendly price range? I am just getting into VR but maaan, these were nuts. Can't wait for your more indepth Videos!
The owo sounds amazing tbh. I'd love a comparison between the bhaptics vest and the owo when it comes out. I'm curious how (user) customizable it is and the compatibility. From what I understand the vest has profiles that you select from in order to configure it based on the game or similar game if it doesn't have exactly which one you want. Thank you for all that you do, Thrill. You're my favorite VR content creator.

Nvidia has been working on CloudXR for a minute.
You know what thrill, I'm very interested in the mutalk... there seem to be 1 or 2 devices out there like it but they don't actually do as they claim so I would love to see a device thta comes into fruition that can be used to severly mute your voice to outsiders while being able to act as a microphone that has good sound quality
10:18 the guy putting the haptic glove on has had some serious finger surgery 👀😆
Imagine having on a haptic suit where someone can, for example, write letters on your back and you can close your eyes and feel what letters they are writing. Now imagine it's a videogame character writing on your back?! :O
500K subs woahh
i think this showcase reignited my passion for vr. right now i feel the same as when i first found vr back in 2018
WIRELESS VALVE INDEX/ HP G2 HELL YEA
it's kinda rare to see thrill out of his house now without phia being around somewhere and honestly seeing friendships like that bloom is always really nice
She was in the video.
Very awesome tech showcased here for the VR space at CES. Thank you so much, it was awesome to watch!
It was awesome to meet you. Im stoked you liked the mixed reality cockpits for the XTAL 3.
when you were speaking about when you tried the rain simulation you said you could feel raindrops on places you didn’t have haptics on, and it reminded me of the phenomenon of phantom touch within vr (tactile hallucinations, or in simpler terms, feeling the touch of virtual objects induced by immersion in a virtual environment) which got me thinking: if what you did experience was a form of phantom touch, then with the widespread introduction of haptics it might both be easier to develop the phenomena (or in other words, experience that state of heightened realism within vr) and also experience a heightened degree of phantom touch, due to there already being stimulation from the haptic suit as opposed to your body having create the illusion of stimulation with nothing to work with, so to speak.
5:21 This man DOES NOT get paid enough for this
You’d think they’d Make haptic gloves a bit more breathable. Things would probably get dirty so fast
