- Hello and welcome to TUESDAY NEWSDAY! Your number one resource for the entire week's worth of VR news! This week is SPECIAL, probably my favorite one I have made yet. I went to Las Vegas to CES this year and got to try out all sorts of VR technology from haptic gloves, haptic vests, teslasuits, electrostimulation suits, and cheap widely available full body tracking.
This week is very special!

You had me questioning what day of the week it is today.
But do the full body trackers require a PC
On the quest 2 my controler loses tracking everytime I'm not looking at it and has a pop up saying something like (controler disconnected press any button to wake up) do you know how to fix
Hi, things a kinda escalating now at the top consumer VR headset end, really hard to keep track of what's going on. A side-by-side comparison between all current top consumer VR headsets would be awesome. Like Varjo Aero, HTC Vive Pro 2 and HTC Focus 3. What are their price for value and for which purpose where would they really shine? Especially looking for something to use with FS2020 or Space Sims.
"shockingly good" 🤣
For real though, this stuff is SO exciting
If any of these haptic solutions aren't very consumer-friendly, I just might be building yours this year.
This stuff can bring a lot of immersion and opportunity into games and how you feel things and do things. Also love your work man!
Ready Player One level tech...

@@whateversomewhere8023 bro shut it
👏
VR tech is evolving and fast. Remember when 6dof was an amazing experience. now we got electro stimulated vests?!
there is a therapeutic device called Tens unit, you put these stick pads on the area you are having pain in your back or shoulder and it sends deep electrical pulses into the muscle. That's all this is but a cool vest. all new haptic therapy lol
im waiting for the underwear version
@@haveyouseenthisboi8997 If I recall correctly there already is a flesh light style device that uses a type of pneumatic feedback to simulate movement while in VR
I remember being impressed with the gear vr for phones
They are ancient bro, literally people used it on COD ghosts
I am sooo happy that VR is getting better and better THAT fast, it's so cool to be part of this.
Glad to be part of the community. Now that him and Phia are together it's going to get better!
What's crazy is we've been able to make most of this tech for at least a few years already! It's all about the companies who can make it as close to the enterprise stuff while being affordable enough to sell, that's why it tasked so long for this stuff to reach us consumers!
still needs 10 years for mainstream to get into it. Extremely niche at the moment.
There are so many VR peripherals at this years CES. Thanks for highlighting some of the best! Glad to see VR continuing and Thriving!
that owo thing looks like it could revolutionize vr ngl. it could give haptic feedback pain and theoritcally force feedback cause you can move muscles with electricy. really cool bro
Right. Can imagine the marketing for that lol.
Way to entice newbies!
Perhaps really get VR established, which Perhaps the PS2VR will finally convince dev's to start doing more proper vr titles, or at least shoehorn vr into a title they're developing
I wonder if it is working outside of vr too - like for normal gamers. Surround and pain when you got shot already sounds amazing for me xD
holy shit Ready Player One irl
Till it stops your heart lol
They totally knew what they were doing with that name lol, there is no way they didn't
This all looks so cool and is so exciting for the future of VR. The entire thing seemed like it was straight out of scifi movie. Great vid thrill, hope to see more CES content from you and other creators soon!
It's so jarring as well. Like holy shit, we are IN the future! Im so excited for the future of VR in just 5 years, let alone 10!
For hardware, sure its impressive but none of this will matter UNTIL someone makes a cheap open platform wireless standalone headset with eye tracking and at least a apu that matches Apple's M1 chip.
With quest running things all the software is being made to fit on that limited hardware and its specs are the standard now.
We need a better more open option or VR software quality is stuck in the early 2000s level of quality.
What's shocking to me is that with enough money, the full dive VR experience is already there.
They have full body tracking haptic suits that cause small stimulus from rain and shock for pain. Full 180 FOV and ultra high qualty VR headsets. NOT TO MENTION SMELL like how did he brush past that, that's insane. With a moving ground space, it's all there.
@@boiqi not exactly full dive VR yet, full dive will be when BCI VR exists. will be some years before even the basic working concept of such a technology exists
True. Haptic suits exactly like the ones in the world of ready player one. That XTAL HMD also looks like it could be from the future.
I love how while he showed the xtal3, that this one game I play called dcs was there. Thanks for putting that in for all the mil-flight sim pilots
I appreciate you posting this so much. Thanks for going and being there for those who cannot - you say it's "just a CES re-cap" but from a content, analysis, pacing and narrative context perspective, it's incredibly high-calibre journalism. We're lucky to have you in this timeline.
This is one of the nicest comments I have ever received thank you
@@ThrillSeekerVR not all silent majories are infected with brain parasites. Lots of folks love what you're doing, and I see your name referenced more and more frequently. Thrill You are the best content creator for VR, enthusiasts like us are lucky to have you in our corner to have someone creative like yourself put out the message of how amazing VR is and will be going forward. Thanks Bruv.
This guy literally speaks what I am thinking and I'm sooo glad at least someone does it.. Thank you so much Thrilluwu
So THRILLED that thrill never stopped doing what he does even with quest 2 success. Vr needs creators that capture now than just the quest 2 and every little drop off it's news, vr needs to keep in evolving and I know thrill is doing a lot to keep the evolution going by covering all corners of the vr space! Keep in doing you thing man, you lucky bastard!
Great seeing you again! All the VR tech at CES have me so HYPED for the future of VR!!!
Same!
I'm so glad he brought his girlfriend to help.
I’m most excited for the OWO vest, The full body tracking set up that doesn’t require base stations, the haptic gloves, and the skinetic. I’m curious if small sensations feel different between the two vests and what the differences just in general are between them. I’m talking about the OWO and the Skinetic. Well more generally just the differences between electro-stimulation vests and vibration vests.
It's a furrys dream
@@kidgameing8057 Indubitably
I’m most excited for the owo suit but I’m also happy to hear they’re making gloves cuz I always felt like holding controllers ruins my experience whereas some gloves like these would enhance it.
We're lucky to have you covering everything at CES in a nice and concise video. Thanks!
Legit most looking forward to the owo suit. Not only for the consumer tech side, but for the fact that I get to show off genuine technology with the name of OwO
Very cool VR tech! Thanks for another great video Thrill! I'm still constantly amazed at how VR is advancing ever since I first experienced it playing the original "Dactyl Nightmare" at my college student union building many years ago. What an absolutely amazing time to be alive and witness how VR just keeps getting better and better! And even more amazed (and thankful) that I have my "own VR setup" to enjoy it whenever I want. Looks to be another great year for VR!
Anything that can get affordable full body tracking in my hands is what I'm most excited for
I want it to but can't bc I'm not in the Na

I had to pause the video and physically hold my head in shock multiple times throughout this video because I am simply BLOWN AWAY by some of the VR tech that's coming to the market super soon! I honestly couldn't BE more EXCITED for the future of VR!!!
I'm definitely the most excited OWO out of all the tech you displayed.
Cant help but think "OwO, what's this?"
Can't wait for the competition called UwU ^^
@@CakePrincessCelestia That might just be their future version shh xD
Yeah shooters 😏
It's good to see so many different variations & approaches to the same challenges. I remember when it was just a couple companies tinkering in their labs with no firm dates even for enterprise markets. Crazy that we're finally seeing not just real products but real products priced for the average VR enthusiast.
Keep up the amazing content man! This stuff makes my week
Thank you for the video Thrill! I love the upcoming new tech and I look forward to the future of VR. My daughter and I have bonded over VR and as an aging boomer, I can tell you that if one day I'm forced to move to a retirement community or nursing home, I will live out my days in a virtual environment. The future of VR will be carried by you and your younger followers, but you have my support and even at my age, I still geek out at the amazing future that VR holds!
This the CES VR summary video I've been waiting for. Thanks! Also, Phia has a crazy cool dress in the intro.
That was awesome! Hope you get some rest after that trip bro!
I love these episodes every week. I love what your doing and I cant wait for the next episode!
I didn't know Phia was his girlfriend!
This all looks so cool! I am so excited for this year in VR.
I am very excited for both the HARITORAX trackers and OWO haptic suit. I'm going to be following those very closely over the next year.

Amazing!!!! VR is growing and so will u guys (VR content creators), keep up the good work.
That suit was kinda scary ngl, imagine it malfunctions and u are in for an endless painful shock unable to move....
Also im curious about the voice suppressor, what kind of quality audio will we be getting, maybe they could be used for recording high quality audio.
Awesome recap dude. Lots of cool stuff to look forward to. You really brought us all the VR news. I haven't seen half the stuff you mentioned pop up on my news apps or subreddits.
excellence coverage of CES 2022. Looking forward to see in-depth videos of the products you demoed
That noise suppressor would honestly be incredibly useful. I live in my parent's house, and we go up to a place up north quite often. There is only one room I could play VR in realistically, and that room is the main living area. My parents are often in there, and having that thing would be a godsend! I'll be looking out for it!
It does look like some sort of SM gag... I think wearing an HMD is already bulky enough, wouldnt want to use that thing beneath it... :D
It seems like you have to breathe through your nose when you have it on. I would rather have it built into a full face VR helmet. They could add some feedback into it as well.
Damn. Your videos are so amazing,i am literally thinking about buying a vr just because of these
What kind?
@@P4L4D1N. Probably a quest 2 tbh. I don't have a strong pc and quest 2 seems to be the best standalone vr that i don't need to sell my organs to get

Glad you had a great trip Thrill, stoked for more specifics in upcoming vids!
This was probably the best VR CES overview I've seen. Great work!
cant wait to put my hands on that full body tracking! sounds super good, and for that price i think it's really worth it
I can imagine the haptic gloves working well with VRchat's new dynamic bones replacement. Should be fun.
But I know what fullbody tracking I'm getting this year
My god. Every video you put out just gives me ready player one vibes in every way. So excited to see where vr goes. Didn’t know it could become this amazing

I'm stoked for haptic force feedback suits. I have plans for one and I'll be buying my 3d printer this week. Hopefully I'll have a proof of concept built within a month or so. The idea if full body force feedback. Could you imagine sword fights with full body force feedback? I'm tossing around an idea for a suspended version as well (like you get suspended in the air). The idea behind that is the whole walking aspect. No tread mill or slick shoes needed.
This is all so exciting to see!
The most pleasing thing to heard in this videos was how much new tech is directed to ALL headsets. I like this future !
For me personally Im really interested in the Haritorax and the Bhaptics gloves. I recently got a quest 2 and the full body tracking aspect has been on my mind since but dont want to deal with cables running down my back and base stations so they really intrigued me.
Can the owo suit deliver the sensation of muscle tightness? I'm imagining using it to help "feel" how many Gs you pull in a flight simulation by tightening your leg or core muscles to varying degrees. This would really help maintain situational awareness in a dogfight and avoid over-G.
that's actually a really great idea, I'd love for there to be more punishment in VTOL for over-g than the screen just going black or red depending on which direction you pitch
and for other games if you like jump off a cliff or something, or skydiving, that would be awesome
Thanks for this video, I'm excited for the future of vr!
Excited to see more about OWO, like how electric shocks translate to different feelings
amazing to think some day relatively soon, all of this tech will be made to look like Atari Pong.
CES is the best event of the year imo

OWO is that tech thing that certainly will be used for lewd things
i knew about the owo vest before but you trying it seemed even cooler than i had imagined. would love to see a full video on that
Im most likely going to buy a quest 2 later this year, and oh my, does the baseless full body tracking looks appealing. Looking forward to more videos of you testing it! :D
I would watch Tuesday Newdsday for the opening espresso shot alone. The actual news and info is just icing on the cake :)
This was the best show . all them haptic suits are looking fancy on you man
Awesome rundown of upcoming tech, I am super excited to see some of this stuff hit the market this year. I mean, most of it will probably be outside the price range of the average VR enthusiast like myself, but as the tech matures & more companies get in on the action, it will inevitably become more mainstream and thus more accessible. Also, stuff like the XTAL may be focused (and priced) towards enterprise/DoD, some of their innovations will likely end up trickling down into the consumer market.
Great work, love your content & keep it up! I am envious of you getting to play with all that stuff, so I guess I will just enjoy the vicarious thrill =)
the electric shock suit was just amazing, a video with more than one of those gadgets at the same time would be great
I did not expect to be this amazed by the CES showings. Tons of great tech on the horizon, holy smokes.
The OWO suit is sick. It’s like the size of a t-shirt and deliverers that convince of an experience. That’s wizardry
I absolutely LOVE this stuff!
Been waiting a whole week for this! lets go thrill!
Wow excellent video, the VR innovations look amazing especially the 180° FOV as the quest 2 is so limited (89°) (+or-4°) love the new haptic vests & gloves which will help a lot to make games much more immersive
thanks for the coverage, that owo suit looks awesome!
Now this. Haha, does, put a smile on my face thrill.
I can't wait to see more people get their hands on the Haritorax!! Such a cheap solution for full body tracking and character animation! A lot of indie animators will love this.
Congrats on 500k. Love ya man.
Great video. Man your presentation is so good. Your videos are so clean, succinct but entertaining.
Thank you for the update!!
Been waiting for this for so long!
I actually want to get those full body trackers and the OwO shirt
I love vr to death and seeing how shockinly fast vr is coming is absolutely insane
i think this showcase reignited my passion for vr. right now i feel the same as when i first found vr back in 2018
Thr most exciting thing out of CES for me is watching your recap about it 😉
These gadgets all look nuts! Realistix haptics, force feedback, smellovision? Some of it in a consumer friendly price range?
I am just getting into VR but maaan, these were nuts. Can't wait for your more indepth Videos!
ive been waiting all year for this moment 🥳
I like how no matter how much I turn up the sound it’s still comfortable to listen to
its crazy how fast VR has evolved. from just "eh, idk if vr will kick off, pretty buggy. a headset would be about $700-1000" to "yeah, 4k wireless accurate controllers, with haptics and push/pullbacks on 2 gloves. also a vest shocks you now. only $300 each."
it can take only 4-5 years for things to change entirely.
Im so excited what the future brings us. Vr will be way more awesome
For me, gloves are definitely the coolest thing rn. Just being able to interact with the VR space like that seems so cool, and I can't wait to be able to get a set at some point!
