- My name is Mora and I’m taking my life and my two dogs to Mexico to live.
After being surprised by a lay off, I decided to think outside the box, and do something I’ve been wanting to do.
Namely that is: don’t work.
I’ve been at work since I was 16 years old (with a few little breaks here and there) and a nurse since 1996. After 40 years I decided to face another way, to reorient my life, and to make a big jump. NOT to get another job, but instead just go do what I want.

I'm so sorry about your loss of Ricky. It's heartbreaking to lose your best friend, and it takes a long time to stop expecting to see them as you turn around in your home. I'm glad Olive came to you at the right time and helped you start a new adventure. Viggo is a cutie--what a happy face. He is joy in motion! You changed so many things all at once, and watching your more recent videos it looks like you're happier and less stressed. Sending you all good wishes in Mexico!

Okay so this video made things a little more clear. I too work in healthcare and all of it has gone way downhill. I am an MRI technologist and although I like what I do, I don't really want to be doing it all the time. But when I am not working I am standing around wondering what next. I too have been watching travel/move videos to other countries for many years now. I had planned a trip last year to Mexico but cancelled due to not being able to get my passport renewed in time, and fear, tbh. I have 8 more months left on this MRI contract and I am planning to sell my house (if the market is up) . Then take the leap since I will be 62 and can get SS as my "income" qualifier for any country I finally decide to stay in. I would love to explore Mexico, it seems so diverse!! I was looking at the cost of lawn equipment and then took a break and found your videos. I think it was a sign to save my money and just pay someone to do it meantime. I search endlessly for women similar to my situation (older, solo, wants to travel) so I can have some motivation and support to get off my ass and just do it.
It's exciting to be at this stage of life, when you can do what you want! Mexico is a great choice for many reasons.
