Still got my osmo mobile 2 and I bought it on complete impulse because I've used it once and now it sits in its case
I use mine to take family selfies / groupfies with my kids. Put the gimbal on the ground, frame the shot, and use the S-Pen from Note 10 for remote shutter. Pretty cool when nobody is around to take a photo of us.
This was easily the best om5 review

I can tell you the selfie stick is helpful in certain areas pending what content your shooting. Number one for me is the use at car shows. Most car show people don’t like you touching there vehicles and respectively understandable. I use the stick to get inside the vehicles to get better interior shots and able to move from front to back in a single shot. All without never touching the persons vehicle..

Worse battery, doesn’t act as a power bank. Not worth the trade offs. If you need that arm get a monopod.

just get the osmo pocket 1 (or 2 if you higher on budget) it's lighter, easier to use, ready to use in an instant & very discreet (my neighbor didn't even notice) and the iq is better than most smartphones
Yes. I know Kai was fooling around in this video but it doesn't look that smooth to me. My Pocket 2 is uncanny in comparison.
Pocket 2 is nice in full light. In low light next to an iPhone it’s not any sort of competition, unfortunately.
Can it hand the weight of a pro max phone with a case and anamorphic lens without a counterweight? I have the OM2 and it struggles losing balance sometimes.

any of you had problems with motor noises? ich had to return om4 se and a om5. the motor sounds in the recordings where awful
who buys selfie sticks.... never bought one would never buy one... then got a 360 camera, and then bought 3 selfie sticks in 2 days (70cm one that came with the camera, then went back and got the longer 120cm and even LONGER 3 meter "Extended Edition")
Now the reality is I DON'T, and I DIDN'T buy a selfie stick... let alone three... they are "action camera monopods" : my excuse, find your own

I think if you already have a new iphone, that gimbal is pretty useless and waste of money, except what you have is cheaper phone with no ois feature, this gimbal will be a good tool for your mobile filmmaking.
