    I just lost it at hearing your mom "woo hoo" at that last climb you did. That is awesome.
    Your jeep is insane, takes a lot of balls and knowledge to build your own axle housing. I'm seriously impressed.

      Khorsathedark thanks! She had a great time lol the rear axle was a big project dude, took alot of measuring and rechecking to make sure it stayed true.

    I'm glad you talked about RPM to Peak torque ratio, many people don't realize how important it is to place your torque where you need it. 500lbs of torque or HP means nothing if your not at the RPM you need it.

    the 1.9 tdi from VW is the most amazing engine you could find to your project.
    In europe, we have those engines making 200cv with huge torque reliably on those engines.
    Great choice.

    • @natebleepinjeep9564

      perigotube I love the tdi! It's such a under rated engine

    • @perigotube

      Nate Bleepinjeep it might be in the US, because in Europe it's considered one of the all time greats, because of it's dependability-performance-economy

    A guy from 'Jeep TJ Nation' on Facebook mentioned you when I posted the question, 'why don't Jeeps come with at least a diesel option?' I just saw this vid and one other of yours and all can say is 'Holy Crap!!' Not to blow too much sunshine up your kilt, but you are a freakin' genius!! Your technical knowledge and abilities are far from normal. The average 'Joe Dude' out in the world couldn't even conceive of the stuff you've done, much less actually do it. I've been a gearhead for fifty years now and honestly, I couldn't stand in the same room as you! When I was a youngin we were building big-block Chevys with all of the cool hot rod mods, backed up with four or five-speed gearboxes and either 12 bolt GM, Dana, or Ford 9" rears. A decent street-rod in those days was running eleven second 1/4 miles. Nowadays a factory Cadillac is running low tens!! With the a/c on!!! I'm freakin' old. Millennials aren't all crybaby wussies. Some of you are pretty sharp. With folks like you around, maybe the human race will actually survive! Cheers, Tim

    Totally awesome! I have a 02 Jetta TDI, with a stage 4 Malone tune and a 17/22 turbo with the EGR delete and a 5 speed. I plan to add an 11mm pump to mine to boost the fuel. When the PA winters finally rust the body to pieces I plan to put the engine in my 96 XJ. I just rebuilt the engine a year ago and it's got lots of life left. Your rig is so BADASS! Props to Malone Tuning. They helped me with my tune. You guys are all great! Thanks for the video. Hearing Mom excited was the best!!

    I love this walk-around and I also hope that you do a VERY detailed how-to series on the diesel conversion. however I know that projects are not easily started and done, especially filmed. I will ask that you do another detailed walk-around style video on just the conversion. what to expect when pulling the engine at the junkyard, what to expect as far as fitment on the frame, to the trans, the turbo placement, and wiring. I (along with everyone else) are VERY curious about trying this conversion!

    Very impressed with the Jeep build especially the VW TDI install, they are very good engines, a friend wanted to install a diesel in his Suzuki SJ 413 and got hold of VW SDI (same as TDI but non turbo) and installed that with a mechanical injector pump for a low tech solution, the engine completely transformed it for offroading, along with 6.5:1 transfer low range and front and rear diffs it tackles a lot terrain at little more than idle, these VW TDI and SDI engines are superb and generally super reliable.

    Amazing build brother! Took my dad on the shake down run of the CJ7 to the Rubicon. Good times! It's got a Klune-V 4-1 with a Dana 300 and a 727 auto. I've yet to find a need for low low though and rarely use the 4-1. Having a 360 V8 it's kinda overkill. Front digs are no worries with the 9" front and CTMs, but again, rarely needed. Definitely my favorite rig and contributor on BJ!

    • @xXThePointXx
      @xXThePointXx 6 лет назад

      Oh I forgot to say I've seen many people hurt by that stock windshield spreader. I run a family YJ rollbar in the CJ and no spreader because of the crap I've seen. I know I should have a front cage, but I'm pretty low and have nothing to prove. I'll back out before doing stupid shit.
