I love how you covered all aspects and even suggested on how to make being a Pro more appealing. A Pro should definitely be able to represent their sponsors. If the ACL won't make being a Pro liveable, then at least let the Pros advertise their sponsors.
As far as the Tuesday ‘How To’ videos - I’d like to see a Footwork video - Step, Stationary, Dominant hand foot forward versus Weak hand foot forward, mechanics, when to hug the board, when to step out for a better angle, stance/mechanics change for power shot
I’ve been loving the new podcast content that you have been putting out, I always like hearing different peoples input on different topics around cornhole. One thing that I personally liked that you used to do was the reviewing peoples throws because I feel like it gave me a bunch of little things to focus on in my throw to improve my game that I would’ve otherwise have looked over. Love the content, keep it up
Great video. Thanks for all the info on the new season, and I love the main sponsor on the jersey for pros. I think it’s been mentioned before, but how to backload a bag would be super helpful for tons of players. I’m working on exactly that in the off season, and I think it’s gonna really elevate my game from what I see so far. Thanks again for a great video!!
Topics I’d love you to cover 1. How to get more spin on the bag. 2. How to back load bag 3. The mental part of the game, how to stay positive in matches even if you’re not throwing to what you think you should be.
I'd say for me personally it's all wrist. Your wrist can make a bag be flat to back loaded to nose diving to however you throw it really, and that also goes for the spin too.
Mike, I was pointed in your direction a few weeks ago. I hesitated for whatever reason. Thank you for breaking down the ACO/ACL upcoming seasons. It has me thinking of how to grow my "Minor Leagues of Cornhole". I mention this because when you are discussing PPR vs DPR, I have come up with our own metric of ranking. This has many confused as its not available on Scoreholio yet but I do PPE. (Points Per Event). This is directly tied to how someone finishes. Each place in a bracket gets certain points and then a different set of points for the rounders. We have also introduced something else that is getting some mixed reviews but fun, and that is Defensive Pts. Just my 2 cents. You've made me a subscriber now. Great work!
Hey Mike, love the video. It would be great if you are able to break up the video into sections to allow for easy scrolling to a preferred topic. Keep up the content 👍
The ACO- Will allow you to play anywhere you want up.. Obviously just Not down. The new players benefits, they get more bang for their buck. It's a great idea for Tiers...
100 percent on the bag company sponsorship. Bag companies pay the ACL a ridiculous amount of money. Now are expected to go get Pro's and Pay them. While the ACL pulls 15% of all bags all year. The ACL wants to carry the Sponsor. Then they should pay the Players. If they are shrinking the Pro division to Pay Players. Great. That's not why they are doing it.. They don't want to market that many people. The players need a Union... Walk out- Find a person to negotiate Your wages, travel, insurance, stop feeding the machine. This goes for Bag companies and players..
I would love to see black sheep baggers gotti! It’s my favorite bag at the moment. I believe it is the same materials as the new guardian x you reviewed and liked! But the gotti seams to be thinner and drippy. I have a set that is broken in if you don’t want to buy a set I can send you this set.
You could make a video about bag rotation. Rotation can cause a bag to kick just as much as a tillted bag, when throwing a block i notice my bag kicks because i when throw it softer and rotated it slower, the slower i rotate the bag the more it kicks. If i tgrow the same soft throw with my normal spin it stays true
As it stands now, ACL is dead in our town..Those who were organizers no longer want to do it as the find it a real pain. They tell me it is across the country where 2 to 3 years ago they get 50 people or teams and now be lucky if they have enough to run a tournament. Then come later with the ACL Board Stamp, nope, those that have boards aren't going to invest another $3k for 10 new sets of boards and now have to get them who are approved with the stamps. Also the organizers have stated ACL wanted a official at these Regional events and we are like why? We get only 10 people or teams at most..Thus money that we put in becomes a lower pay out cause that official was told they get $200 per regional? nope! The biggest thing for many people is that people don't want to pay $35 for a tournament and be done in 2 games if they don't do a 4 game seeding rounds. They all state it isn't worth it for them. They rather go to a $10 or $20 Switch Tournament where it is always 30 to 50 people in our town in different areas.
There is a lot of unknown but my guess is there will be more regional and states ACL tournament since there are no more conferences. It's most likely a pilot season for this. Good post as always
One thing that a chess podcast does is interview advanced or most improved players that are on their way to being a possible chess master or became a pro in their field. Those are the most listened to episodes, and I think some people might like to listen to some advanced or elite players in cornhole. We got some in CT and in the northeast that just became pros. Having those episodes allows the players to tell us how they did it, what they throw, and where they are from. It provides exposure to know who is up and coming that isn't a top-tier pro. Worth a try if you have any locals that are working towards that.
I want to but I don't know much about it yet. I may bring it up in this week's episode just to make people aware of it. When I get more info on it, I will cover it more in a later episode.
It doesn't make sense to drop the number of pro players that low when the sport is growing. Why not continue to grow the league? It seems like an odd time to start downsizing.
I am in the NW and ACO is almost nonexistent out here. I am not a fan of ACL because they take a huge portion of entry fees from the lower levels to feed the machine. I have stopped playing most of the ACL events because of this, but there are few other options. I know the concern is sandbaggers playing in the lower levels, but that is the ACL’s problem to solve, not the players.
I'm loving the longer form content. It really helps me stay informed from one of my favorite content creators. Keep up the good work. Stay blessed.

I'm so glad your doing these types of videos. I'm one of the massive fans of the game who enjoys the content so much. Thank you again.

There are a lot of great video ideas here. I will add these to my list and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the input!
Love to see True Cornhole Tremor. Thanks
That review should be up this week.

Couldn't agree more on the larger "player" sponsorship logos on the player's jerseys. They must be able to promote their sponsors better

Would love to see some reviews of any of the new CS bags
I know you’ve mentioned in the past difficulty getting them
Siamese/kingcat/himi
Who is making the most sense, Mike’s mouth or hands? Love you buddy!
Would love to watch you throw in competition. Anyway to do this.
I vote for this too. I would love to see Mike throwing in some games. And specify which bags are being used.
All great topics 👍🏼👍🏼

be cool to have recorded tournament/BD/practice rounds. whether its live streamed or recorded and put on YT. good stuff Mike!

I love the idea of interviewing up and coming players.
will you be talking about the CPI in an episode? OR maybe you already have?
I want to but I don't know much about it yet. I may bring it up in this week's episode just to make people aware of it. When I get more info on it, I will cover it more in a later episode.
They are going to drop the numbers of pro into the low hundreds. (110-140)Just easier to get to that number if you start “cutting” now.

Would love to see pro-am blind draw and collaborate with other sports/leagues such as football basketball golf etc. would draw a lot of viewers.
OMG, How do I get that shirt!!

How to keep a straight line in your throw video………🤙🏼
Good one!!!
More good news. Every single Major in the ACO will be a championship like worlds. Moving forward. I love how this puts extra value behind Majors.

Call your podcast Mike's mic.
DOWN AND BACK PODCAST NAME.
I could tell you’re not much of a CS fan..
CS is so over-rated, idc how you look at it. Inflated prices for average bags.
