'Have you ever been a Bodyguard?' Indeed. I remember this as one of the most beautiful thing ever, given all the innocence and just pure excitement of being an adolescence from not knowing how the story will unfold in it's first version of release.
Notice how this is the only time a different Cloud talks to him when Cloud is drifting in and out of consciousness. In the OG, this happened a few times as foreshadowing the true events that Cloud misremembers. However in Remake, Sephiroth is a lot more aggressive about exploiting that direct line he has to Cloud's mind. Soon he overrides Cloud's true subconscious conversations and this will alter the Remake events ever so slightly
One thing I've noticed that is VERY interesting to me is that at 3:02 Cloud see's Aerith's death play out, like it's a memory. However this doesn't make sense because that hasn't happened yet. All the other scenes with Cloud having glitches is when he is remembering the Past, or what he THINKS is the past. However in this scenario, it's in the future. What are the developers trying to convey here? That Cloud is from the future and has already seen Aerith's death, hence it is a 'memory'? OR is it something else? Why is this the ONLY time cloud see's the future rather than the past then? Cloud isn't known to be some psychic that can see the future. So... how is he seeing this at 3:02? As I said/asked before. What are the developers trying to convey here? Anyone have any ideas?
what i've been hearing some people theorize is that the events of the remake and rebrith are post the OG, like a sequel and not a remake per se. So what cloud is seeing is indeed the past, and in the events of the trillogy they have a chance to "defy destiny" and change things.
so... is the materia under that ribbon? why highlight it on the scene? or did they just forget it? I thought it was just a glitch on mine that it didn't show.
Flower Peddler: So? Cloud: So? Flower Peddler: What's your name? Is it Starbreeze? I bet it is since you fell from the sky. Cloud: Actually it's Cloud. Flower Peddler: That's a beautiful name my name is... (Choosing either Aeris or Aerith chooses Aerith) Aerith. So Mr Cloud what we're doing in the sky?
''Mine's not good for anything at all.''
EXCEPT FOR MAKING PEOPLE CRY UNCONTROLLABLY
She's not the only one...
I know a robot with a soul from a separate game who made me cry uncontrollably too...
even just the camera angles tells the whole story. very brilliant.
I just can not watch this without crying

I accidentally skip this one my third gameplay... And it didn't feel right skipping it.
For me, Aerith is like Athéna so a godess, so Cloud cant be with her into a love ❤️. Tifa is the one for him.
