I just want to say, that your videos are giving an extrem healthy vibe. Your dad's commenting, he's proud of you, your calm, your videos are calm. You're supporting a good thought (real overlanding vs. the "modern trash"). They realy help to clean my mind in a kind of difficult time! A big THANK YOU from Germany 🙏
Man it’s so refreshing to hear genuine comments like this, I really appreciate it. I try my best to bring RUclips enjoyable content that’s not just focused on gear and unnecessary crap!
Im glad to hear that! 🙏You just said it right... with the unnecessary crap. With all the gear talk etc., you forget to be humble and enjoy the moment. Also: please never stop integrating the history lessons! They enable to feel kind of integrated in the story and the journey :)@@Whitedogoverland
Thanks Cody -"Codyman" ( my little brother is a Cody...we just use this nickname, bro...just family). You are helping a newbie in Colorado and a single older parent- to boot. Empty nest? Border Collie that loves the rim rock and sandstone trails? This is the answer. Thanks so much. You gave independence to a whole southwest corner of Colorado. Durango has a "Codyman Overlander" mentor. Keep it coming. We won't crowd you boys... only learn from ya. Give the dogs a "scratcha"! & keep up that unbelievably spot on, history that makes each site more beautiful. Just GOLDEN, Codyman! See you out there little big bro & our place is yours.
I love the Rav4 1.gen. This Saturday i will buy mine in mint condition. im am soooooo looking forward to it. May i ask what you did to the car? Do you have a Torsen Differential or do you have still the stock one? I am so impressed how good its handles on the streets you are driving that i think you maybe have installed a Torsen Diff. Much love from germany. Sam
I pretty much left this car totally stock other than fixing what needed. Had the center locker and all I ever really added was a skid plate and an OME lift!
@@Whitedogoverland Thank you for the answer! I have mine now and I am absolutely loving it!!!! Do you know how much centimeter it lifts your Rav4? blessings from Germany
Thanks I was just looking at that app think I’ll give it a try. On a different note my brother has a Subaru. I guess it’s setting off to the great Subaru graveyard. He is thinking about a RAV4. Just wondering what your thoughts are on them???
Dude these cars are amazing I love my through and through. I’ll tell ya what there’s a lot less ravs than Subarus in the big graveyard in the sky. The motor is under powered but bullet proof. I almost bought a forester until I realized you need two subes to have one functional one lol
from my understanding subarus are great daily cars, and very very capable, but cant hold up to the conditions set by doing things like this for as long as a rav4 or really any other toyota can. at least not yet
Not really honestly, there’s so many variables. I tend to see if trails on onx have photos, check the trail time in comparison to level of vehicle and gauge it. Still tons of variables

Is there any way to figure out how long a trail would normally take?
Not really honestly, there’s so many variables. I tend to see if trails on onx have photos, check the trail time in comparison to level of vehicle and gauge it. Still tons of variables
@@Whitedogoverland I haven’t seen “Trail Times” on ONX.
What size are the tires?
235/75/16
I’m trying to figure out how to plan a 10k+ mile road trip effectively 😂 this X 1000 I’m stressed 😂
Sheit! The whole pan American highway?!
@@Whitedogoverland actually just everything out west, I’m in Florida so I have to drive out there but just hit as much as I can in a couple months
