    Can I suggest for beginners that clicks on icons are crucial. Please go slower and show specifics off where you click. Thank you - Tom T (new guy)

    Great app! Just wish I had more use for it. There isn’t much for open trails or public land around where I live. These Texas cattle Barron’s like buying up everything and fencing it in. Yet another great video boss!

    First of all, idk if anyone mentioned previously but that cut is clean! Very informative video and some really cool and useful features on the app! I wish I had another vehicle and lived somewhere to experience it.

    Thanks for the great walkthrough Talon! I've been using Gaia, but I just switched over to OnX. The experience has really been dialed in from when I tried it last and it makes planning and tracking so easy.

    This is a great overview of the app, but one thing I'm struggling with is how do you find camping spots with the app? It's one thing to get places, it's another to know if where you're going to be camping is safe, has great views, nearby water source, etc. I'm new to rooftop camping and this is the most overwhelming part. I know some people just drive and find a place, but I'm new to all this and I'm not yet comfortable with that. The onX website says there are 1,000s of points for camping ranging from dispersed to RV. It would be helpful to get a rundown of these features and how best to determine good places to set up camp for the night.

      @@TalonSei Thank you. They offer better insight into the process of finding a place for sure. I'm driving an Atlas Cross Sport, so definitely not as capable. It's great the app has trail ratings to assist with that. Appreciate it!

    Thank you. Through I'm surprised we have to get the $100 plan, just to see private property borders. I feel like that should be standard, or at most, the $30 plan. Is that $100 them staying on top of land surveyor records?

    I guess the only way to navigate to the is to copy the coordinates from onX onto apple or google maps

  • @IMGreen-xr9ex

    thanks for the walkthrough! I'm going to be using it for the first time in two weeks for a planned route. What do you do when you come to a trail that's closed, how do you navigate "on the fly" from where you are to where you need to go while remaining on the trail and staying off the highways and more than likely not having cellular service?

    So, with OnX Offroad, Lines are planned routes, and tracks are the actual route you took, correct? i.e. Plan vs. Actual? Just grabbed a year to try it out. This vid is right on time. 😁

    I really like the concept of this App. What if I get the elite package for onX backcountry and in the future I want onx off-road will I have to purchase that package and can they bundle.

    • @TalonSei
      @TalonSei  2 года назад

      I don’t know for sure but they are obviously separate apps. OnX Off-Road is what you want for trails, tracking data, and routing while driving.

    • @alexjohnson668
      @alexjohnson668 2 года назад

      @@TalonSei I’m sorry. I should have clarified. If I use onX backcountry for hiking then say a year from now I get into over-landing should have to pay for the off-road elite package too. Would they bundle the two options.

    If you find a trail you want to go ride is there a way to get directions to that trail from your location whether it be other trails or roads to the trail head using the app. Like the way Google maps or waze would navigate you on the road to a store or something
