I'm really surprised that other sponsored RUclipsrs haven't already put together a how-to for onX. This is the most comprehensive overview video that I've ever seen of onX.
I completely agree
I've seen quite a few others.
This is ---- the most comprehensive overview video that I've seen of onX.
I do extensive research of areas I want to go, adding waypoints and notes using my desktop computer. then I can download the maps and information I need for a trip to my cell phone for use in "airplane mode." Works flawlessly as I explore in either my '96 Taco or my '20 Pioneer 1000-5. It's so easy to use. Once back from a trip, I open the data on my desktop again to upload photos and edit my tracks and waypoints.
The information @15:17- 15:45 was sooo helpful for a paper map shredding old school dude like me to hear. I still struggle with this tech stuff, but I might now be willing to give it a go after understanding how simple it is to do. Just thought you'd like to know that type of information can still be worth taking the time to explain. cheers
Nice seeing you in Luleå today. Good luck on your trip in sweden.
I just bought OnX a month ago and have tinkered, but this tutorial will help me plan for my trip to MT and WY in Aug
Right on! Enjoy!
i have honestly watched all your videos, all your playlists...Love what you do,which is what i love to do..Hope you consider AFRICA,and make sure you pass by KENYA
Great Video!!! This really helped out.
This was an amazing video! Absolutely cool company and application
I’m now planning on getting OnX once I get my rig
i personally would like to see onX use the what they have created to incorporate preferably on a on road version to like google maps
Very nice presentation, tnx
Great product; I just got the basic subscription so haven’t had a chance to dive in. Will the BDRs be an option on the app as well? Just returned from completing the CABDR and completed the AZBDR late last year. Enjoyed being able to download a full route and go!
Great video looks like a awesome tool to have is it ever coming to the United Kingdom as we only have OS maps and GLASS association…me myself use outdoor GPS where I can mark all my green lanes which is not a bad app but onx maps looks a whole lot better finger crossed we get it in the UK..
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for posting. I was curious if On X Off-road show actual dispersed camping sites using a symbol?
Just signed up ! Already Exploring
You are going to love it!
This is all amazing but I have one question. Is there a way to get directions to the trailheads? Like where to park to unload my side by side?
If I dont know how to get to the trail head. Do I use a waypoint to help me get there or does it link up with a gps and gives me turn by turn directions ?
Is onX ever coming to Australia? Its needed!
I tried using onX but they had no trails listed for Michigan, Wisconsin or Illinois. I'll download it again and see if I missed how to activate this properly.
Uh , thank you for this!
BLM and USFS have been going crazy closing trails around SW Montana and over in Idaho. I hear Moab has a lot of trail closures
Do you need a subscription to get a link to the app for iphone? I cannot see it on the app store.
Is the build a vehicle only in premium. I cant find it in elite?
Does it function in Baja California??
Does it work in Canada?
does it work in germany? or eastern europe?
If I have OnXmaps for hunting can I also use the off-road side of OnXmaps?
Separate subscription.
Tried OnX in TN for a month or so. Damn near worthless compared to Gaia/Avenza
I am leary, the reviews are pretty bad.
País : BRASIL 🇧🇷
Estado : Ceará
Cidade : Fortaleza
dose this cover Europa ?
It does not yet!
@@ExpeditionOverland ok thanks
@@ExpeditionOverland we are waiting for it
Lackluster review. Where is the ability to select 1 trail and follow it?
"Mapping philosophies" lol
When are you guys going to make all the cool stuff work in landscape mode? Don't say we will lose screen area, because you can make all that work on one sidebar and not lose much viewing area. Most everyone uses it in landscape mode. Fabrats, Mischief Maker, and many more. Only people using it in portrait mode are using it on a phone. Cruzing in a jeep or side by side using a phone is hard but a 10 inch tablet mounted to the dash is easy to see and use. When you need the MY Content folder, you have to stop the car, remove the tablet, turn it, open folder, get you content and put it all back to gether then take off again, kind of a pain. Standing up the tablet in portrait or
phone mode hinders forward view or covers switches on the dash. If you can add 3D views, active Fire, weather reports and other Emergency warnings, you can do this.
First lol
Would this work on a wifi only iPad or does it need to be the cellular version?
