Few things - The sizing template is on their website, I would use it - they’ll respond back with suggested sizing. With me, my size came back from them at 11 wide or 11.5 wide. The wide was just too wide for me. I exchanged them, and their regular width fit great. Here’s my initial video on the OTHER pair that I kept mentioning that didn’t fit me correctly ruclips.net/video/IkuYtq6IMKQ/видео.htmlsi=26cX5Xm_2AE6b0cL
Man, those are some good lookin boots. Last year I bought a pair of Franks patriots. Im pretty sure they're the same price as these Drews. I figgin love em. They fit like a custom boot. I was back n forth on the 10 logger & the patriot. I made the right decision for myself but these things are beutiful. Well done Drews. Last summer I suffered a little bit in the heat with such a hard core boot, so last week I picked up a pair of GH Bass scout mid lace for the summer months. They're scheduled to be here tomorrow. They're running a sale right now I could'nt pass up, however, there is little to no info on these boots on you tube. They look good & well made but, no info at all anywhere basically. Anyway, these Drews loggers look killer. They're definitely on my short list. There's a guy on yt that hinted that Drews may put out a 6" urban logger style. If this happens Im on it.
I came very close to purchasing the Patriots but they didn’t have them in my size. I just googled those GH Bass Scouts, let me know how those are, they look really nice! I’m going to start breaking in these Drew’s this month - and then start hammering them at work - but so far initial quality looks excellent.
@@doublebase6509the one thing I can say for sure is, the fit n finish on the Drews logger seems to be a little better than the patriot. There's a few things that some people might say about drews logger that would make them a better boot than the patriot & I would agree that the drews logger has a quad stitch from the upper to the vamp & is finished off with a nice box stitch. No pull loop on the patriot. I do think the pre molded insole of the logger is a good idea as well. I'll try to get back to ya with a brief report of these gh bass mid lace. Btw- thanks for making the videos. Very informative & enjoyable - peace.
Hey man, so I did receive the gh bass boots (I got the red ones) They seem to be pretty decent for the price, still on sale ($168) which is pretty crazy. However although the thicness of the leather is about the same as my iron rangers, its a very very "corrected" leather, its very stiff out of the box & seems to have that weird sort of plastic coating. The break in has'nt been too bad over the last week & the coating seems to be wearing off a bit, which is good. This corrective coating seems to block any mink oil or polish from embedding into the leather. I dont think this is a bad leather but, they sure did mess with it a lot. The heel counter is almost non-existent (at least compared to my iron rangers & black smiths, & no where close to the Franks boots. The stitching does look a little sus for a work boot, but time will tell on that one. I might be expecting a little much from a sub $200 boot though. They only come in full sizes, & Im a 7.5 in red wing heritage & also the Franks, I orderd an 8 in these bass boots & at first I though They were not going to work but I put a thin insole from a pair of addidas & that did the trick especially once I put about 30 hrs on em. They fit pretty well & like a typical heritage boot. There are some drawbacks here but, for the price Im probably going to get another pair, mabe even 2 more. The brown & the black. Overall, Id say they're great for the price. Even Thursday cant beat this cost & Im not much of a fan of their stuff anyway. Btw- made in el-salvador.
Thanks. These boots are absolute tanks. Love them so far. Whenever I do boot reviews on boots like these I usually loose subscribers. Lol. I can’t wait to see what these look like after a year of hard work.
I’m liking them so far. Took around a month to break-in, and honestly I’m still not fully broken in on these things yet. But I’m killing these things, working them very hard and they just don’t care. There is almost zero visible wear on these things after 2 months of work. I’ll be doing a follow up video soon on them.
I'm an 11EE on a Brannock. I originally ordered a 10.5EE, but then found out on the phone with them, they actually suggested going down to 10EE. I'm still waiting for them to show up. Hopefully soon.
Let me know how they fit when you get them. For me their EE were just too wide and roomy for me. I’m a 13EE on the brannock, and they suggested either a 11EE or a 11.5EE. I chose the 11.5EE and the length was ok, but like I said the width was just too roomy. The 11.5 D fits me great. You’ll love the quality with these boots. They do a nice job with these things.
@@doublebase6509 How long did it take you to get them? I've been waiting for 7 months for a 10EE in all black roughout. I called, but they still haven't come in.
@doublebase6509 Honestly, they fit very wide. I'm an 11EE, and so I ordered a 10EE. I had just barely had enough room up front of my toes, but they still fit very wide. If I get another pair, I will probably go with a 10.5D.
Just picked up a pair of these 8in black combo loggers from bakers final few sale yesterday. Used a fathers day discount code and they ended up being less than 300 shipped!
Honestly, I thought about buying an another pair! Saw that price discount on Facebook and almost pulled the trigger. But had to stop myself knowing that the this current pair I’m running will probably last me two years. Still very tempting.
What I’m worried about with the Drew’s loggers for you is they run WIDE. I have a wide foot and their D fits me, which makes me wonder if their D will be a tiny bit too wide for you. Having said that, I believe they suggest a half to a full size down…so either 10D or 9.5D. These are phenomenal boots though, that I can tell you for certain.
Just ordered a pair of Brown 8” loggers with the roughout lowers, went a half size down from my brannock size 11 C/D to a 10.5D. They’re being delivered today, so I’m interested to see how they compare to my Nick’s builder style pro’s.
I think you’re going to like them, but then again the Nick’s Builder Pros are kind of the gold standard for PNW boots. I’d love a pair but I didn’t want to wait 6 months and they were going for $600 plus. But someday I’ll get a pair. Let us know what you think of your Drew’s when you get them.
Just got the Drew’s in. First impressions, great boots, very well made, for me they fit exactly how described, sizing down a half size works good. They definitely match the quality of Nick’s maybe a tad lighter, I’ll start wearing them tonite and I’ll give an update. So far I’m impressed.
@@NDB469let us know how that break in is doing. I started working in mine this week, I was able to do 3-4 hours a time before my feet started aching a bit. This things are heavy and the leather is extremely thick (I bet this is damn close to 3mm thick, maybe 2.7-2.8). I’m liking them, the arch support is unreal.
Right on, I like them, so far compared to nicks very similar. Sizing down a half size for me is perfect. Typical tough break in as expected but they’re coming along. I agree you’ll feel some ache after a few hours, I’ve learned to just push thru lol! Of course you can wear them a few hours and change out for a few days also. Great boots so far. I’d like see Drew’s get into some more styles but we’ll see.
@@NDB469agree 100%, they need to add some different boots to their lineup. I love the 8 and 10 inch loggers, the contractors look ok, but I’d really love to see them add a few other options…maybe something in a moc toe boot, a heritage style Sherman or Truman looking boot with a toe cap.
They said 11.5ee based on my measurements, but i went with a 12 since i have a huge instep and my feet swell at time and im glad i did, the fit is nice, i like a lil room and thet dont slip at all. They are well made for sure.
You must have some huge feet, for me the 11.5 EE just had too big of an instep and we’re just a little too wide (which I was surprised about). I can’t imagine how much room I’d have in their 12. I started wearing these things to work yesterday, made it half the day before I decided to rotate my other boots in for the remainder. These are going to take a while to break in, but I’m loving these boots so far.
I’m not sure why they raised the instep on these boots. I guess people had a hard time getting the boot on and off? Not me. I love a tight instep and a tight heel.
Yeah I do wish they had a tighter heel grab. The instep isn’t too bad for me in these things since I downsized. I’ll tell yeah though, these boots are fantastic. No boot has taken away my toe joint pain like these things.

HEADS UP!!! I just got my Drews loggers in 10" Black Combo. They are a $350 boot, not even close to a $600 PNW boot for less just because it's made in Mexico. . 1. Drews needs to change their description. The leather in my boots is NOT a 7.5-8oz leather. It is 6-6.5oz at best. I have a pair of Wesco Jobmasters (~$400 on sale), which are rated at 6.5oz, and these are almost the same in the shaft and less in the vamp. My Nicks Roberts are 6.5-7oz W&C EB, and they are noticeably thicker and rated at 6.5-7oz. The lower vamp of the Drews has been heavily sanded to the point where almost all the roughout is gone, and has some smooth spots. They add an inside liner, which makes it almost as thick as the shaft leather, which is quite disappointing. 2. The overall build quality is EXCELLENT, but the leather is a C grade in the vamp, and maybe a B grade in the upper shaft. -- I would NOT recommend these for actual Woodsmen or Firefighters. They are a good solid boot for an average homeowner for doing chores, but not a real professional grade leather boot.
Good observations. My rough out areas are heavily sanded, but that doesn’t bother me. But the leather thickness on mine in the uppers are probably closer to 7.5 even 8 than 6. My uppers are very thick stuff leather. I have the 8 inch however, the 10 inch I had previously did feel a little bit thinner in the upper. I do think these boots could handle woodsmen and firefighters. I feel this is much more than simply a chore boot, mine are heavy tanks with the same outsole on any other PNW brand. And the quality control is fantastic.
@@doublebase6509 If you want the real deal, I think the MITUSA Drews Roughshot boots are probably going to give you a legit NFPA rating and longevity. The Mexican version is actually built really well. Everything from the insole down is equivalent to PNW boots. They are very tough when walking on rough terrain. However, I noticed after 10 minutes of wear, the upper leather is breaking in very fast, mainly because of its thinner weight. For very heavy duty career work, this thickness of vamp leather will not hold up long term. I would give them a year, maybe 2 in the field. You'd get twice that from real 8oz leather. The fact they are sanded so heavily, is a good indication the hides were a lower grade to begin with. Sanding is usually done to get rid of tons of imperfections to make it even. The lining added helps rebuild some of the thickness. If my liners were removed, the vamp leather would be almost paper thin.
